FOOD POISONING. Avoid at all costs. This place has cockroaches and is so dirty. I was sick for one whole week!!! Reply to the owner’s comment: It is indeed this place and I remember it perfectly…and more after the terrible week spent because of the hygiene issues the Salón de Té Sucre has. See the picture I have just posted taken in front of your place. Instead of reporting reviews you do not like, hygiene measures should be implemented.

Very cozy place to spend time with your friends and relatives. We came in the afternoon, just right after they open. We didn’t realize that we spent 3 hours for chit chat over nice coffee and cheesecake plus tea. We ordered anither round of orange juice, chai tea. We will come back, definitely !

Lovely tea room with plenty of loose-leaf teas (25~ black, green, oolong, pu'er...) and coffees to choose from. I recommend the coffee cake :) Price is fair (2.50€ per cuppa) and atmosphere is very nice too.

Super cute place right next to the Prado Museum and Retiro Park. Their cakes are to die for - all homemade recipes! The atmosphere is great too - perfect for merienda. I even hosted a baby shower here once and it was the perfect choice. Highly recommend.

Really nice spot to stop for breakfast, lunch or just coffee and a snack before or after one of the museums nearby or Retiro Park.

Confy and relaxed place for a nice tea or coffe and some delicious sweets. Scones were pretty good, tea was good although not out of this world considering the price. Nice decor and vibe. Will come back taste some other varieties

first of all, even though it looks posh here, it is SO CHEAP to get a breakfast. latte macchiato and bread with olive oil and tomatoes for 2,70€ in the centre of madrid?? definitely the best price. also, everything is very clean and waitresses can speak english very well, which is pretty rare in spain honestly. would recommend 10/10

I didn’t have much time so I just stopped by for a tea. The café is beautifully decorated and I like the menu. They have some nice things. It was very pretty and the cakes looked good. There was just something a bit off about the atmosphere, I can’t put my finger on it. Maybe because it was a bit dark? I think I would prefer coming here a bit earlier in the day when it’s lighter outside. But otherwise it was nice!

I was waiting so long to go in. They are open super short during the week. I was a bit disappointed. sweets are amazing, good quality, delicious. I will definitely come back more than once to try the cakes. Tea tasted good, coffee not necessarily, badly frothed milk. But in Madrid, it's not that easy to find a place for a coffee. The decor for me strange, big space, a lot of things from different styles, not my cup of tea, but I will definitely come back for tea and cake.

Hands down the best chocolate and carrot cake I’ve ever had. Dark hot chocolate also very good.

Good coffee and ambiance, cake was a bit dry though.

Beautifully decorated cafe and the amazing tea selections and amazing atmosphere! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you for the amazing tea (milky) you proposed us to choose and for the empanadas!! Greetings from Greece! 😍

I would not say is a tea room but more a cafè, the place itself is not very cosy, it was cold and not a big selection of food, cups look they were not cleaned and we had to ask to change them, is probably ok for a quick snack.

Amazing café/ tea house next to the Prado Museum. Super cute, cosy and hygge. Very nice music. Great staff. They have gluten free pastries, vegan hot drinks and a great tea selection. I'll definitely come back!

Great place for a coffee and a savory or sweet pastry or salad after some time in El Retiro park. Very welcoming staff, the hot chocolate is delicious!

Great coffee and empanadillas, nice deco and kind staff. Working is discouraged and they limit working time to 1 hour. Internet stopped working exactly 60 min after they gave me the password.

Great little find across the street from Retiro Park. Perfect for cafe and breakfast croissant…made fresh in store!

Beautiful place! Art on the walls, even some small purchaseable canvases. Selection of salads (including pasta salad) and empanada-like deliciousness as well as juices and coffees. Attentive service.

Sorry, guys. These two stars go for the strange scheme of hours you have, mostly on Saturdays. Okay, it was my mistake taking for granted that, since you're a cafeteria or tea room, you'd be opened by the mornings. But, alas, NO! Only opened from 3PM to 8PM. If it fits you that's fine, but still, it's strange for me, sorry. Anyway, I hope to be able to check out on you on another occasion, because it just seemed so pretty and welcoming...

Lovely place for coffee and something sweet. Lady speaks English and was very helpful. The atmosphere is nice and cozy; gentle music and interesting interior add to cozyness 🙂 Recommend visiting if you're on the way to Retiro Park.

The man that works there at night was absolutely AMAZING!!! Our trip was made 1000% better thanks to his recommendations and his great attention to detail. He was super nice and we were impressed by his english. We had a great night and will always remember the cutest and most delicious cafe in Madrid!!!

Great range of teas. Cosy and and lovely decoration. Wouldn't recommend the cheesecake, though.

This is one of the places that instantly struck a chord with me, and I can't wait to come back to. Located close to Museo del Prado, this tea room is extravagantly decorated with classical English-French furniture, and would make a perfect quiet reading spot in the city. The tea served here is well-brewed, and there is a huge variety to choose from. I tried their English Breakfast and Cinnamon blends, along with a croissant and coffee cake. More than delighted with the service and the taste. Would 10/10 recommend to tea lovers in Madrid!

😠 It’s rare to be spoken to so rudely in a city as wonderful as Madrid. We were a party of 8 that the lady refused to seat until everyone was present. 5 of us were already there and 3 yet to arrive. She claimed that it was impossible to seat us all together despite the terrace being almost empty as yo...
