The restaurant is severely understaffed and it showed. Many tables were unattended and left dirty. I don’t believe it was the fault of the team that night. However, something must be done. In these times you may have to close some sections so you can focus on the tables you can operate well. Drinks were not good. Food was delicious. Get that team some help. They deserve better.

Where's the rest?? When we got there, the fume hood was dripping onto the counter. My husband wiped the fume hood and the counter himself. The waitress was very nice though and offered to reseat us. The floors were dirty and it looks like they need new carpet or this one needed a very deep clean. We ordered the tempura shrimp and it literally came as pictured which had us asking "where is the rest???" No dipping sauce or anything on the side. Same with the Dumplings. Came as pictured and no sauce or anything on the side. They had ceramic sauce bowls next to us but when we asked for sauce they brought some in plastic to go cups... not sure what that was about. The main dish was good though. They messed up the order of the party that was with us, but our order was correct, at least there is that. The food tasted very good, I just didn't grab photos. The counter tops are a bit small too and filled up fairly quickly. This is an OK place, I expected more since everyone I know raves about it but it didn't live up to the expectations I was expecting.

Food was good but customer service needs work. I guess we were in the middle of a shift change because after our order was taken, it took awhile for the chef to come. Then I had to remind the new waitress about the appetizers I ordered and it came after we ate our meal.

Amazing, we had fun and the kids loved it. We had a friendly and attentive waiter Branden. We were laughing the entire show time, our Chef Jeff was so hilarious. Food was fresh and delicious, drinks were excellent. We will definitely be back🙂

We called and were told no reservations needed, just walk in for a party of 8, on Sunday. We walked in at 5:45pm and were not seated at a table until 7:20pm. We waited almost another hour for our chef to arrive at our table. The waitress had no smile, no desire to be there. My first drink tasted like cheap liquor (I guess they forgot the cherry flavor) I drank it. I ordered a second drink but different, glass was chipped at the rim and cracked down to the stem. How was that missed? Waitress was nowhere to be found, very inattentive. The manager had to be flagged down to have my drink glass replaced. The waitress came to bring me a new drink and I said thank you the first glass was cracked and she just turned away without saying your welcome. While our Chef cooked for us another chef walked by taunting him. That was rude and unprofessional. Our Chef just ignored him and continued to cook. Our Chef was friendly and the food was amazing but not enough to warrant the more than $500 bill. Experience was not pleasurable, (Chef made it better). For that amount of money food and experience must be on point. I would not recommend this location.

Personally love Beni’s sushi especially on happy hour!!! The menu has definitely changed since covid as in up in price and less on the menu. But the experience was still great!! The hibachi is also amazing!! Love the view here!!

Our son took his dad and I for his dad’s birthday. It was our first time there. We were seated before our reservation time, Emily greeted us, she answered all of our questions, gave us suggestions on what we should try (being first time). She was just a super nice young lady. Wisker, the amazing cook, had us entertained from the beginning. He has a system and it works! All the food had been cooked to the perfection! Needless to say, we will be back 👍🏻

Stop giving people other people order because they didn’t pick it up. The real Japanese restaurants will say that this is a disgrace to their ancient ancestors whom taught them. If money is your profit you have nothing else left to sell dry steak old shrimps

Always a good experience! I got tuna steak hibachi with beef fried rice (I picked the steak and the waiter picked the rice, I had him surprise me) and it was so good! It was flavorful, filling, and my boyfriend loved my leftovers haha. My friend got the shrimp with chicken fried rice. I got her leftovers since she was leaving the next morning and that was amazing! Always worth they money and the wait.

Party of 6 Got there and the bar was empty except for 3 of our party, sat at the bar for 10 to 15 minutes without anyone addressing us. Baryender had her back to us, either on her phone, tablet or counting her drawer, im not sure because she never moved from that spot, never looked at us...nothing.....They were ready to seat us so we went to the table. I was shocked at the condition of the walls, large section of paint were missing. 15 minutes later I gentley asked the manager in the lobby if we had a server assigned to our table. He was very kind in reply. The server did come over and take our orders, however, 20 minutes later I went out to the lobby and said to the same manager.....we still have no cocktails. He said something to the waitress who turned and yelled at me. "It's not me the bartender isn't making the drinks" at the top of her lungs. I loudly explained that I could not care less who's fault this was. I would like my guests to be served cocktails..... as the meal/salads were arriving already. I do not remember ever leaving a bad review, however, the bill was well over $500.00 which I expected, friends birthday and wife's mile stone achievement and all. (could have been over $600 maybe $700 if we had our usual 3 drinks each) and we all left saying what a shame it was to see the downfall of place we all had great memories of from 20 years ago. No longer authentic in any way! Whoever does the hiring needs to experience a dinner at 845 on a Friday night. $20 to $30 cocktails should be crafted by a professional and that was far from professional. SHAME ON YOU BENIHANA HEALTH DEPARTMENT SHOULD LOOK INTO THIS JOINT. any place that is managed that poorly on the front side is usually worse in the areas you can't see. ... Photos below of the empty bar that took 45 minutes to get a drink out....and they were not good drinks. Feeling ripped off!!!!!! This place used to be great Now it's a great big shame

Decided to take my family here as they were visiting from out of the country. Wanted them to have a different eating experience and they certainly had it here. We were seated as soon as we arrived although we did not have a reservation. They server was new as he told us and he was nervous but he did an awesome job. What made the experience really exceptional was our cook, Kamal. He kept the ground totally entertained with his cooking display. We were all in awe of what he did to make us laugh and feel relaxed. Then food was so good, there was not a bit left although the amount served was a lot. If you every go here, you have to ask for Kamal, cause he made it worth it.

They were very accommodating to our large party. We took up 3 tables and all of our waiters/waitresses and cooks were attentive and friendly. The food (hibachi steak, hibachi shrimp, chicken fried rice, veggies, salad, wings) was all delicious. There was enough food to get full there and take home! Definitely worth the price.

We are currently waiting for our food 50 mins after our reservation. On top of that the water was mid 3/10. Enrique was the best chef ever. Request him if you want a good time. Our boy Gabriel was chill too. 10/10 ask for him Seasoning was so good here they even seasoned the glasses We think they should do pancakes. Lots of noises here. The bathroom is very slippery so be careful wear shoes with traction if you’re coming here They claimed not to have a lighter to light a birthday candle??

My husband and I had a really fun time at the hibachi table! Our chef kept us laughing all night, and we were thankful to be seated with a good crowd of people. The hibachi chicken fried rice will forever be my favorite. I recommend the chicken hibachi meal with a specialty drink - you will be STUFFED with how much food you'll get! David our server was very accommodating and nice, he worked really hard to fulfill all of our tables requestsbamd did a great job 😊

Overall, my experience at Benihana was quite enjoyable. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lively and fun. I particularly enjoyed the interactive element of having the chef cook the food right in front of us. It was a great way to make the meal more interactive and entertaining. However, I must admit that I was a little disappointed with the lack of entertainment from the chef. While he was skilled at cooking the food, he didn't really engage with us or put on a show like I had expected. It would have been nice to see some more knife tricks or interactive elements to make the experience even more memorable. Overall, I would still recommend Benihana for a fun and unique dining experience. Just be aware that the entertainment value may vary depending on the chef you get

We had 12 people at Gregory’s hibachi grill and he was the most entertaining and FUN chef we’ve had! Everyone loved Gregory! All his food was delicious and cooked perfectly to order. Nadeje was our waitress and also did a great job. We’ll come back and request GREGORY!

From the Receptionist to the Server and the Chef: we felt very welcome. The Servers took the time to explain the menu to us and provided recommendations. The Chef was made aware that one of our guests was allergic to seafood and he cooked for her first. The chef made the table fun with his jokes, cooling skills, and of course his seasonings. I will be back soon.

Me and a group of friends and family went to celebrate a birthday. We had a 9pm reservation and sat there for over 1hr waiting on the chef. After speaking with manager he told us to wait for a bit longer and we agreed. Now another 30 minutes went by now 10:30pm still no chef and the server just disappeared when I start complaining the manager asked us to wait for 5 more minutes after waiting for an 1:30 minutes already. I was livid and shocked this man asked us to wait For 5 more minutes we just got up and left. Worst experience ever I should of went to Thai spice.

I wanted to love our experience here, but unfortunately we didn’t. We came in with a party of 6 with a reservation. We were sat at a corner table and I sat below an air conditioning vent. Within 10 minutes of sitting there I had a brown greasy drop of condensation fall on my shoulder. While waiting for staff to come wipe the vent another large brown greasy drop fell on our grill. We were thankfully moved to another table, but when I sat down I turned my attention to the ceiling, being very wary of being dripped on again. To my surprise I noticed the whole ceiling looked like it has water stains and the air vent above me at the new table had a dirty rag wrapped around it, presumably to catch more drips. Luckily I was not dripped on again. We were further disappointed when we realized that we had been waiting for over an hour and a half for our chef. Our reservation was at 6:30 and it was after 8:15 when our chef finally arrived to the table. I understand that they were busy but I would think that if they were short on chefs that they wouldn’t book so many tables. Our food was cooked well and quite tasty and our waitress was wonderful which was the saving grace of our experience. I am just hoping the next time we return that this Benihana has had a deep cleaning and hired someone to look at their AC ducts and replace the potentially moldy ceiling tiles.

Everything was great once we got to our table and got a chef. We had 6:45pm reservations and it was my daughters birthday, we waited 40-45 mins past that time to be seat, what’s the point of a reservation? Once we got back to a table we were informed that they were running behind and a chef wasn’t available for us. The hostess then told us to order appetizers and drinks because it would be “a while” before a chef would become available (of course for extra fees). After waiting about 45mins to an hour we finally got a chef….she was ABSOLUTELY worth the wait, one of the best we have ever had there. Our waiter Dave was also AMAZING, my drink never went empty and he was prompt with the soups and salads. We left around 9:30pm. This would have gotten 5 stars had the seating been prompt and the availability of chefs been better.

Had such a wonderful time and a wonderful experience. This was my families 1st experience and we fully enjoyed it. Ate such a wonderful meal, our hostess and chef was outstanding! Definitely will return to Florida to visit again, since Charlotte hasn't graced us with a Benihana yet!
