I lived at this community for 2 years. The first year, they were charging me 850 for a 1/1, not bad. Initially, they made the community seem more than it really was. The gate was consistently if not always broken. Random people from the outside could come in and out as they pleased. The so-called "security", is just a guy in a golf cart sleeping all the time next to the pool. Don't bother ordering anything and having it shipped to your home, I got 3 packages stolen from my door step. Drug addicts roam around freely throughout the community, I had two addicts come to my back yard and tried to get high in front of me. The water front view is anything but a joke. The tiny lake was always filled with trash and nothing was done about it. Frogs constantly mate in the lakes and are so abundant that you'll have a hell of a time getting any sleep. The surrounding areas are so crime ridden that the nightly police sirens become a norm and you'll know something is wrong if you don't hear them. The second year I was there they wanted to raise the rent to 990 for no reason, I negotiated to 940 with an "upgraded" stove which turned out to be a slightly cleaner stove that used up more electricity. On the topic of electricity, the outside AC unit was about 5 years old but the inside AC handler was the original one from when the building was made back in the 60s. Because of that, my FPL bill was on average on the 140s. I had an FPL technician come out and essentially tell me unless both units are updated the power bill will only go up, good luck trying to get the management do that. When my second lease was coming up for renewal, they wanted to raise the rent to an unbelievable $1200 for a 1/1. I gave my 60 day notice and moved out, I didnt even want my security deposit back. About a year and half after I moved out, they have the audacity to try to sue me for unpaid rent. Lucky, I'm a stickler for receipts and documentation, and was able to easily prove that I did. Word of advice, when you move out a landlord has 90 days to make a claim on unpaid dues via CERTIFIED mail with a signature receipt. I know this review was long but I wanted to share my experience with The Glen at Lauderhill. Renter beware of this place and make sure you read the law with this place. They will try to intimidate you with lawsuits when they know they are wrong

Never ever let maintenance into your home. The first time I let them in my $1000 property is missing the same day. Apartment said one thing had me miss work to follow up with the police. Then to only turn around and say you have no proof use your renters insurance which didn't cover the full value I lost on. I will be breaking my lease and taking them to court. The apartment has to take responsibility for hiring and sending thieves into someone home. Cant wait to move. Who puts this type of stress on a 9month pregnant person. Wish I never move into this place. Staff is rude and unprofessional.

They need a major renovation. I is infested with roaches. Other tenants told me they had same issues. They never replaced my vinyl flooring when I moved in. They would do patch work to repair then the issue would reappear. The parking is awful. You pay rent and can not park at your door or even close. Make sure they explain the parking rules too. I got my car towed because I was backed in to pack my car when I was moving out. The trash rules is another issue. Just beware. There are so other places to make a more comfortable and stress free home.

I have lived here for around 6 months now. The staff is very friendly, but the apartments are garbage. There have been more issues with this apartment than any other place I have ever lived in. My air conditioning has broken twice, both of my bathrooms have flooded due to faulty plumbing ( they had to replace all the pipes), there are bugs that infest nearly every apartment, items have been stolen from our from door area multiple times, and the neighborhood is literally covered in garbage. I moved here because the staff sold me on all these nice new appliances and upgrades that the apartments were going to get ( has not happened ) and the cost. The apartments are very affordable ( for South Florida ), but I would recommend spending a little more to live anywhere else.

My experience at the Glen was a little jaded. Yes, the location is technically a little bit out of the hood and the price is cheap. I paid $1,000 flat for a one bed one bath. Usually, that's not bad at all. Let's look at the pros and cons. Pros: Ever since the new management there has been decently painted apartment buildings, well kept paved roads, and decent security I'd assume. I've had no issue with security or my neighbors. Cons: Insects. Though they claim to do an insect clean every Tuesday or something I've had 5-7 instances where there have been giant roaches in my apartment on the second floor. There was an instance where there were termites too but it seems that they resolved that. This is the biggest thing, really. They really do need to invest in proper insect repellant or something. We shouldn't have to take precautions like closing our bedroom door at night to prevent insects coming in.

Over priced ghetto. Anything that goes wrong will be patched up just enough to hope that it lasts until you move out of course that is IF they ever come. They ignore Maintainence requests ever since pinnacle took over. had a moldy ac unit that they ignored for months until I got the city involved. Circuit breaker box is wired illegally. Was brought a fridge infested with roaches thus infesting my apartment. Now I'm starting to see termites. You can tell they covered up mold in the bathroom. They supposedly do a dog temperament test before allowing vicious breed dogs but that's clearly not true because I've walked passed dogs that would kill my dog if they could. Trashy looking on the outside and people are constantly breaking the gate to walk through it. the only reason I stayed as long as I have is because the apartments are spacious for the price but it's not worth the headache. My car has been scratched up to hell from careless people in the parking lot and I've had stuff stollen off of my back porch. Even with new management I doubt this place is fixable

They deserve no stars , save your money and DO NOT rent here you will regret it as I do now . They claim to be a "luxury community" which is false advertisement , in no way shape or form are they luxury , from the gate not working , the lights on the property not working and speeding through the parking lot does not provide a safe community for residents. They pick and choose what rules they want to follow . My car was towed , they bypassed a rental that was not registered , cars that have the community decal placed in the wrong place , cars with broken windows , broken tail lights and non operable which clearly is stated on the sheet passed out , inconveniencing their residents. At this point if I were given the opportunity to be let out of my lease without penalty , I would not hesitate to do so . Initially when I was looking into this community they didn't give me a chance to view the apartment that I would reside in . I moved in to mold and mildew smells , upon other issues .What a mistake this has been choosing this place to live. Things are not all what they seem.If I would have known what I know now I would not have looked twice at this community. All they care about is getting their rent , They are unprofessional , not compassionate and things are not done unless you go to the office in person. You never know what to expect in this place it's always something.
