ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!! My partner and i booked a room for a night, we turned up and went to the room to open the door and get a strong rotten smell, followed by mould, dry urine on the toilet seat, ants, burnt carpet, no fire alarm, dust, toe nail clippings, yellow walls from smokers and a PUBE in the bed! we asked for a refund only for them to offer us free breakfast, trying to convince us to stay saying there was an amazing view. we left and they said it could take up to a week to get a refund mind you they tried to say we’d only get $10 back!! after taking photos and showing the reception they said if we left now we’d get a bigger refund and they could sell the room to someone else asap. absolutely foul 100% DO NOT recommend!

Where do we start? No aircon, no fan on a warm humid night. No soap in the dispenser in the extremely dirty shower... barely warm water and then it stopped! Bricks for pillows and very uncomfortable bed. Limited glasses and crockery. The smallest tv ever... The whole room was very old and dated... Don't waste your money

A Nightmare Stay: Avoid at All Costs! I recently had the misfortune of staying at this motel, and my experience was nothing short of a horror story. I had booked a room for three nights through Expedia, expecting a decent, clean place to rest. Unfortunately, reality couldn't have been further from my expectations. The rooms were disgustingly dirty, the carpets looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years, and there was a pervasive, nauseating smell that seemed to seep into everything. As if that weren’t enough, the rooms were infested with spiders. To make matters worse, my son, who has a severe dust allergy, started having allergic reactions almost immediately after we checked in. It became clear that the lack of cleanliness in the room was triggering his symptoms. Concerned for his health, I approached the owner/manager, hoping to find a solution. The owner/manager appeared understanding at first and promised to refund us for the remaining two nights if we decided to leave early. Grateful for what seemed like a reasonable resolution, we vacated the motel after just one night, sacrificing our hard-earned money for the sake of our health. However after our departure, they shamelessly reneged on their promise. Despite the assurance I had received, they refused to refund the money, displaying a complete lack of integrity and honesty. It was a clear case of deceit, and I felt cheated and utterly disappointed. To add insult to injury, when I reached out to Expedia for assistance, hoping they could mediate the situation, they proved to be equally unhelpful. Their lack of support in resolving this issue left me feeling utterly frustrated and betrayed as a customer. In summary, my stay at this motel was a nightmare, and I strongly urge anyone considering booking here to think twice. The dirty rooms, smelly carpets, and spider infestation are bad enough, but the dishonesty and lack of integrity displayed by the owner/manager make this place utterly unbearable. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this motel at all costs.

Nice motel for stop between Devonport and Hobart. Beware of running out of hot water during peak time at night.

Rooms smell stale when you open door. Bed extremely uncomfortable; extremely cheap linen (it's like the owner has visited all op shops); rooms are very very outdated. Pillows hard as - no comfort. Reception person very rude and abrupt(hadn't even seen room at this stage). Shower disgusting, like it's never been cleaned properly; water pressure- better washing at the beach! Mould growing in light fittings from water ingress; very very poor ventilation in rooms

The place was ran down, dusty and very dirty. Once we asked for a refund as we had hairs in our sheets and showed them numerous photos of the 'standard' cleaning. I was offered another room and refused a refund. Do not recommend.

Probably one of the worst accommodation I have ever stayed in. I am sure this place was the crown of Launceston back in the early 80's. Unfortunately not a cent has been spent on the place. The oven is the same as my grandma had and the door even folds to the floor! The toilet never stops flushing. The show has a curtain. I did not even know they still were a thing. The BBQ area has no gas. The sauna is not even turned on. The restaurant is no longer open. The beds are like sleeping on a spring that sends you both into the middle. There are no extra pillows and the ones that are there are like sleeping on a pancake. There are stains in the carpet. Noise from the road across the gully. This room cost $280 a night and I am now staying in a AirBNB that is the same price and it is a house! DO NOT STAY HERE. OR IF YOU DO THEN INSPECT THE ROOM /BED FIRST. IF I PAID $100 THEN I WOUKD VE OK WITH IT.

Overpriced for what is essentially a very dated and poor facility. Beds – Rock hard, killed my back from sleeping on it. Rooms – Stuffy, had an unpleasant smell when we entered and lasted our entire stay. Heaters were good. TV was very small and wasn't able to get some channels but it was adequate for our needs. Cleanliness – Basic and not all that attentive to detail, cups/glasses etc didn't appear to be all that clean. Booked for a single bed, double bed and a couch. Walk in the room and discover that there's no couch. Third person in our party decides not to stay. Showers and toilet – NO HOT WATER! This alone should be attended to as it is not good enough for paying customers. Heard similar complaints from other guests staying there. Shower cubicle appeared mouldy and had dirt on the flooring, The water from the shower started flooding the toilet area beside the shower cubicle, stuck towels down everywhere to soak it up as best as possible. I noticed a small poo stain on the wall up beside the toilet indicating a lack of detailed cleaning. Lack of available parking outside our room due to others hogging the spaces. I cannot rate either the pool or spa as we never had time to use either facility. It appears the restaurant is no longer in use. Overall, this was probably a very nice place many years ago but appears to be dated, no capital spent on it for many, many years and appears unloved. Even the sign out the front and the potholed roads around between accomodation blocks is a pretty good indication of the care factor (or lack of) with this place. Has a lot of potential with the right investment.

Don't do it! Find somewhere else, this place should be closed down. Mould on the carpet, decking which is 12 ft high is rotted and be long before it causes an injury to someone. Signs everywhere claiming bistro and bar but has been closed down. Our booking paperwork showed continental Breakfast, told "we don't do that anymore ". Not even an apology. Beds are so old and worn out as are most other fittings. Not sure if they could get a smaller TV.

This was disgusting the room smells, towels with marks on them. Carpet sewn up with black cotton. Fridge dirt on the outside and on the rubber, freezer iced over. Main door to room covered in hand prints, bed was very hard. Cold air comes through the sliding glass door, the heater did not work well, unless your standing on top of it. Stained toilet, plumbing bad, water wouldn’t flow out of basin, shower plumbing unstable water temperature kept changing. Threw my hat on top of cupboard and dust flew everywhere. Never to stay here again.

Good Points: Room was dated, but ok. Good location. WIFI is pretty good. Bed was comfortable. Bad Points: Seriously dirty and never cleaned. I was there for 5 nights and the room was never vaccumed or cleaned in any meaningful way. No way to wash the crockery in the room and the dirty crockery was only swapped out once. Stains on the carpet and bedspread were there when I arrived and when I left. Bedding not changed during the stay, and probably not for a while before hand. Shower smells musty and was only slightly cleaned once during the stay. BRoken sink tap that was broken from the last occupant and given the state of the room I could not see the point in raising the issue. Broken light that looked like it has been broken for a while.

Whatever you do, don't book here !! We are not fussy people, in fact backpackers are my accomodation of choice !!!, and i seriously wish i had now booked the backpackers! Very old and outdated, furniture looks like it came from an op shop, mould on the windows, linen is doubtful, when asked for extra pillow we were delivered pillows that had obviously been slept on before, they didn't even change the pillow cases. Blood on the wall of the bunk beds, rooms are smelly, I just could keep going on...

Good place to stay. Shampoo, conditioner and body gel supplied in the shower. Hand soap, hand and body lotion and shaving cream supplied near the hand basin. Rooms are serviced every day. On site laundry with washing machines x2 and dryers x2 iron and board. Swimming pool and spa, kids play equipment and games room also available. I had to extend my stay twice on the same visit and the concierge was very helpful.

Noisy guests next door. No air-conditioning/and or ceiling fans room was quite hot and stuffy. Bit hard driving out of driveway, difficulty seeing traffic both directions. Nice pool and spa though. Quite spacious outside.

Clean, abit on the older side with traffic noise but spacious surroundings with a view of trees. Loved it for the price I paid. Next time I will be using the spa.

Cupboard doors hanging off. No racks to the fridge door so you couldn't use that area. Toilet moved side to side as it wasn't bolted to the floor properly. Not enough crockery or cutlery until we complained. Restaurant is shut and has been for over 2 years and so has the bar but the signs outside still advertise them. Not properly cleaned. Staff were pleasant although food went missing after the "cleaners" had been in. Very seedy and has a bad reputation among locals which we found out too late!

Quiet little spot if you’re looking for a quick budget stay in Launceston. Bed’s were comfortable and linen was clean. It’s an old building so the kitchen and bathroom reflects that. No aircon, but a couple of fans available. Probably not the place to stay during summer. Suitable for a quick pitstop. Sofa was old and had no spring left it in. Not the worst place to stay. Can pass for a night

Pleasant 2 night stay and better than expected. Lovely reception. Heated pool clean and indoors. Rooms very clean but in need of some maintenance. Heating inadequate for 2 bedroom apartment. Overall a very enjoyable stay

After being hit with the smell of overpowering bleach on arrival it was surprising to find the bed coverings where dirty and the room simply just run down. The shower was dripping on arrival and would not turn off no matter how much we tried, leaving the floor wet and simply not safe for the kids to go to the toilet given how close the shower was to the toilet! I plugged my phone into one of the power points and quickly unplugged it after it crackled and popped.

Not particularly clean, smelled like smokers were in the room previously, rubbish from previous customers in the drawer (and strangely some coins that surely cleaning staff would not have left there), a dripping tap and leaking toilet both of which are right near the bed so we had to fix it ourselves to prevent annoying noise while trying to sleep. There are some facilities I can't comment on, but fundamentally as somewhere to sleep for the night I suggest going elsewhere.

The rooms were disgusting, no body wash or nothing in the shower. Hair balls in the shower, stuff all over the floor and the bed were broken. Room was that hot and stuffy, no fan or air conditioner.. Reception was rude couldn't even understand English. Rooms smelt, kids room was disgusting, will never be staying here again. Absolutely appalling and filthy. Spa needs to be cleaned, pool not even heated.. should be shut down that hotel.

Photos advertising this place are at least 10 years old, in major need of a revamp. Apartments are very old noisy and outdated. Have tiny cramped living area, tiny TV, minimal ancient kitchen facilities, poor shower and no air-conditioning (although 2 noisy pedestal fans supplied). Positive in that bedrooms are decent size and beds were comfortable enough. We had 2 bags stolen from our car on our last night of a regrettable 2 night stay. Reception told us that they would review CCTV footage supposedly covering reception area and get back to us. A week later and of course we still have not heard from them. Place so rundown in such state of disrepair even junkies feel comfortable to pilfer through cars without worry. Anyone who is contemplating staying here, just don't.

It is a little dated, but spacious, with magnificent views over Launceston. Lovely big shower cubicle, plenty of cupboard space. Comfortable bed. Note that the restaurant is not currently open.

Definitely won't stay here again. Rooms are old and outdated. Our room had mould and cracks throughout the plaster. Could hear our neighbours as if they were in the same apartment as us. Our car parks were taken while we went for dinner elsewhere and we had to park across the other side of the property and walk our children through the cold weather. Would not recommend. AT ALL

Good place to stay, has indoor spa and pool. Only Kids play area needed more equipment. Also mattress were too soft, started hurting my back on first night. Otherwise service is alright.

The room was cold πŸ₯Ά no hot water only had 2 towels in the room. The pool doesn't supply towels. There is an indoor pool but not much room to walk around the pool. The rooms are dirty and old but it's a cheap room to stay. I wouldn't recommend bring kids just off the people that I found staying here the walls are thin and you can hear every thing even from a few rooms down. I wasn't able to sleep because of a very angry man a few doors down he seemed very mad and I really didn't feel safe staying here. I recommend any other hotel.
