(In response to Braeside on this review, It WAS a long time ago but this is EXACTLY what happened. I remember it vividly. I don't know if the records go back this far but I was there for the filling, they numbed me, advised I couldn't continue because they wanted outright payment and charged me without getting the work done and I was a young person. I don't know if the dentist has moved on or what but it was as told and still one of my worst experiences of service. Hopefully you have improved) Had been going here for years and was happy because they let me pay off my account each time, which I always did with speed. The last time I went to get a filling, they had me on the dental chair, they'd applied numbing stuff to my gums and at the last minute they asked "do you have money to pay for the entire procedure?" I replied that no I didn't and that I was always able to pay it off. They said they'd changed their policy and told me to leave and come back when I had all the money. They even charged me for the numbing stuff they'd put on my teeth. I was absolutely mortified, feeling so embarrassed walking out of there with numbed gums. As a place with a set of skills I am sure they suffice, but in terms of a dental practice with a sense of morality I am afraid they failed my expectations.

I wish I could give zero stars: Going to this clinic with Janice March as the dentist is the worst experience you could have. I needed to have two fillings done and I was condescending spoken to the whole time. She was rude and downright arrogant and didn’t even bother to put a proper filling in. (The side wall of the tooth collapsed and she then left it like that and left it in that state when she set it. Wasn’t even a proper filling. I was then told that she wouldn’t fill any other teeth until I had my wisdom teeth extracted. As if I would have them removed by such an uncaring, rude and obnoxious dentist. The follow up from her poor filling dentistry on those teeth (as they hadn’t had the decay removed properly, proven by a specialist ) was an extraction on one tooth and root canal on the other(as the decay left by Janice was so significant that it killed my tooth) which had to be remedied by a proper professional dentist.Totally avoidable if she’d bothered to do a proper job. But, with such an impatient and patronising attitude shows that she really doesn’t care less. If you want to keep your teeth definitely don’t go to this dentist-you will regret it in every way. Who pays a dentist to be a bully and then who’s poor work destroys your teeth.. I will never visit Braeside again!!

Referred to Dr Philip Leith and thankful I had. He was fantastic! Clear and concise when explaining what needed to take place in regard to tooth extraction and gum repair. Trish (hygienist) is amazing too and knows how to make you feel super comfortable. Definitely 5 stars for the entire team as the ladies in reception also do a fantastic job and rock!

Braeside dental has never let me down or I should say my teeth. Desk staff are so lovely and approachable and their service is up there with the best. Reminder phone calls and a txt which I so appreciate. Dental team is great, they run on time so no long wait. Best part is having a clean, twice a year, knowing when I leave that my teeth are in good order so that’s worth a smile. Cheers Braeside Dentistry for 20+ years of great work. 😊

Braeside Dental is nothing short of a comforting private practice to visit. The staff are extremely welcoming and even provide follow up calls - which means a lot. The professionalism of all is what sets this place a part.

Absolutely the BEST in the business!! I have been a regular (at times this place became my second home!) patient of Braeside Dental Surgery, Launceston for the past three years. They were the only people to offer to help me at the peak of the COVID outbreak when I was in a world of pain and embarrassment due to my teeth, while also offering me the option of an affordable payment plan when money was tight. The reception staff are absolute angels (both past and present), have always been so lovely and been able to get me an appointment promptly when needed. Janice has been my regular dentist at this practice and although I've had serious anxiety issues due to previous issues/experiences, I feel completely safe in the hands of Dr March! Not only has Dr March completed basically all of my lengthy dental work at this surgery, she has also educated me on many occasions on how to look after my teeth properly to avoid future issues and I have learnt many things I never knew before meeting her! Just like Dr March, Dr Phillip Leith is brilliant (I have seen Phillip when Janice has been unavailable and I've needed an appointment, and Dr Leith also done my wisdom teeth surgery under general anaesthetic). Every experience with Phillip has been great, he is understanding with a wonderful sense of humor and highly experienced in his field just like Dr Janice March! I have lost count of how many people I have referred to this surgery since becoming a regular patient, from multiple family members, to complete strangers and I will continue to do so because these guys are genuinely the only people I would trust with my dental health! I have been able to pay off thousands of dollars worth of quality dental work over how ever long of a period I need to, at an amount I am able to afford and for that I am extremely grateful! If you are ever thinking of attending this practice, give it a try because I highly doubt you will be disappointed, if I could give more than 5 stars I would!

Very caring staff. Always feel well looked after. Really looked after my aged mother really well with extra time and explanations of work. Much better then her old dentist and she is happy to go back. Best dentists in Launceston.

Paid top dollar for a filling, afterwards with a bloodied drooling half numb face was told I couldn’t spit or rinse and i must use the toilet. After waiting 10 minutes for the 1 toilet in the practice (3 or 4 surgery rooms but only 1 toilet) to become vacant, I finally gave up. A staff member chucked an absolute wobbly and I couldn’t speak properly to explain myself. I was just waiting to rinse whilst blood and muck ran down my face and was told they’re not obliged by law or code to provide facilities for rinsing!!!!! So they don’t, not even as an obvious courtesy. I gave the manager a detailed account of the experience but she fobbed me off. So I went to canning street instead. Professional and cheaper! Plus my filling at breaside only lasted 1 month! Canning still going after a year. I don’t know dentistry, but I know cowboys. Not recommended

Very happy with the service I have had with Dr Janice March over the years, she has been extremely thorough and it's evident she has had many years of experience in the field. I feel comfortable that she is doing the job properly for long, lasting results to avoid high costs down the track. She's very honest with how you can improve but for reasons that you need to listen to her advice for your own benefit. She has been great at easing those dentist nerves and making the experience as calming as possible.

Fantastic dentists - both Dr Leith and Dr March are very experienced so you feel comfortable knowing that you're getting the best care. I've never felt pushed into having 'unnecessary' procedures and the focus is definitely on preventative care which is good. I see Trish the hygienist every 6 months and can't recommend her care enough, she's really very good. The cherry on top is the receptionists, always friendly and helpful. Special mention to Tina and Kristin who are always wiling to go the extra mile.

Excellent dental and oral hygiene services. Holist approach to dental care. Friendly, helpful and patient staff( dealing with digital payments etc) I've been a very satisfied patient for a long time.

My visits to Braeside are always pleasant with their friendly staff. Dr Leith is such a pleasure to see, he is very efficient and his work is always top quality. He is very honest and I know I only ever receive necessary treatment.

Fantastic service. Very professional and caring. No nonsense dental advice. Caring and polite nurses and office staff. Dr Leith was great (and funny!). My girls love him, have been under his dental care for 16 years.

If anyone requires dental work, then I would highly recommend Dr. Janice March. I recently had some major dental work done by Dr. March and was pleasantly surprised by her skill, with the total experience being a lot more comfortable than I anticipated. Dr. March was very understanding, she listened to me, understood and took into account my existing medical issues and discussed all options available to me. As well as amazing dentists, Braeside Dental also have amazing support staff. The dental nurses, dental hygienist and office staff are all very good at their jobs and all very supportive and friendly.

Cannot recommend Braeside Dental enough. I went in after suffering an infection in my gum caused by an impacted wisdom tooth after being turned away by another practice because the surgery was too complicated. Not only was Dr Leith able to do the surgery but he booked me in the following day for it. I was absolutely terrified about having the surgery but Dr Leith and the dental assistants made me feel at ease and walked me through the whole thing He gave me his number in case of any problems and even answered on the weekend when I called worried something wasn’t right, he even offered to see me if needed. Even the reception staff go above and beyond, they are always so polite and welcoming and even called the day after surgery to see how I was going and when I missed an appointment they called to check if I was okay. I have nothing but high praise for Braeside dental surgery and would give them more stars if I could.

Went to braeside for the first time and was amazed at the professional and friendly service ...I was so worried about having a tooth pulled but the dentist I saw... Janice... talked me through the whole process step by step...and it didn't hurt a bit!and it certainly wasn't as expensive as where I'd previously been going...easy parking as well....I will be back!

My teeth have been happier since I switched Dentists and started going to Janice years ago. I find her to be professional and polite and always explains what is going on and how I can look after my teeth and gums better if needed. The surgery is bright and clean and the receptionists are helpful and appointments are always running on time.

5 stars for dental hygienist Trish. She was thorough, professional and best of all, cheerful! Lets face it... getting your plaque cleaned isnt comfortable, but Trish was a great distraction with her banter and occasional singing along to the radio (pitch perfect i might add). My teeth feel amazing!
