They are working actively to preserve our Laurel, MD heritage in the face of a time when people assume our progress is a given. Just a wonderful resource for active classroom experience with completely refreshed exhibits.

A great place to check out. Very clean and well kept with updating exhibits. It is a tiny museum tho. Great for being Free entry museum! Open most days 1pm-4pm.

Very nice interpretive center with exhibits, knowledgable and friendly staff. On street parking. Walk down past the municipal pool to see the dam for the old cotton mill. For a mill, go about 2 miles north on route for Savage Mill on the left.

We were fortunate enough to get a tour from Ann and catch the Health in Laurel exhibit before it's gone at the end of the year. One of the best parts of the museum is the kid's area in the lower level. My son will be 3 in March and he loved reading some of the books, exploring the kitchen area, & playing with the train. Next year, he will really be at the perfect age to explore more of the historically accurate toys they have. This museum is just a few miles from our house and I'm really looking forward to next year's exhibit showcasing Laurel's 150th year!

Nice, educational museum about the history of Laurel. The staff was very knowledgeable as well. We saw the Poe exhibit there. Nice park w/in walking distance with a walking trail.

We went to an egg hunt! The eggs were empty so they could re-hide them, but they gave the kids prizes and had free goodies! It has a great kids’ section that they can explore and it’s free! It’s open every weekend!

👍👍 This is one of my favorite playgrounds in this area and my favorite splash pad! Everything is slightly smaller than at say Deep Run or Twin Hickory, but it's a very thoughtfully laid out space. The splash pad is entirely enclosed, and has a great variety of water elements. Super popular throughout...
