Beautiful hotel with the best view of Taal! Private road to the resort. Clean spacious rooms. Balcony with an amazing view. Free room breakfasts. Very helpful staff. Cable and Wifi gets spotty especially when it rains. Stay here if it's your first time in Tagaytay. Close to the main road with restaurants.

Hotel splendido This hotel has a lot of potential, nice surroundings with good views, but it seems that their owner is pinching a lot of pennies. The hotel has only one working elevator, doesn’t have a generator (we experienced long hours of brownouts, had to go up and down 8 flights of stairs), clogged toilets and sink, poor restaurant service (3 hours waiting for food), poor room service (was informed that the food we ordered was not available after an hour). When room service food came, it was in takeout boxes with plastic utensils, it seemed that they ordered food outside the property. The porter was also the golf cart shuttle driver. The sink in our room was rusted. I almost slipped and fell in the bathroom because of their cheap shower mat. The front desk held on to my ID because they could not process a room deposit with a credit card, and they refused to return my ID even if all the bills were settled because one of my companions was still in our room. The hotel has two towers, a golf course and a very nice and big swimming pool. Their clubhouse/building next door was boarded up. No bathrobes were included. Their decor is dated. The hotel needs better maintenance. The employees were hospitable only to a bare minimum. When we would ask inquire something on a service, their usual answer is an “I don’t know”. When we ask them if their food service is really that long, they answer “just wait for it.” They also did not initiate on refunding the early check-ins despite power outage during the morning hours. Their hotel service needs to step up, overall.

The food is not flavorful, it is too bland, i think seasoning is good for old aged citizens. Staffs move or process to long. They change/increase the initial agreed pricing in the contract, and will not refund once you decided to cancel. The shower heater is broken, you can even brew hot coffee in the shower. The room is average, but the view of the taal volcano is stunning. If you're middle class like me, i wont recommend this place. Overall, not a pleasant place to stay for a night and will not recommend.

Great location and beautiful view of Taal Lake. Some inconveniences on BASIC issues though, room service was late even if you booked a night before and set a specific delivery time. And the food packaging is like from a carinderia/canteen, missing utensils. They were kind enough to grant late check out at 2pm (we checked in late though) but will ask you to pay the whole night (not even half) if you exceeded. Hotel is less than 50% occupancy as per one of the staff members! The buggy driver Joel was nice and accommodating. Pool in the other building is okay but you have to bring your own towels. Rooms are aging and needs better maintenance. There was a foul odor coming out of the clogged drainage causing inconvenience to some family members (Room 1016). Amenities are negligible so bring your own toiletries. Free service water is a plus. All in all, I’m sure you can find a better place for the price we paid. This is an objective review by someone who have travelled lot. We took 3 rooms and the child we have at 11 is considered as an adult so an extra payment.

The best hotel I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at Splendido. Gorgeous overview of taal volcano, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms, and high quality service. Also, they are one of few hotels that allow people under 21 to book a reservation. Everything was great at this hotel.. amazing staff that is friendly and makes customers feel welcome.

Great Job to all the staff and security personnel! We stayed at the hotel last April 29 when the earthquake hit at exactly 12 midnight. The staff and security knocked on every room to check if the guest were safe. We're asked to go down the lobby for safety also.

I was happy to found these place because I felt like I was in a two place! A "hotel and a paradise! The place was so calm that made me more relaxed and, I had a nice food that made me another order to try. They have a lot of amenities to offer like: car park, swimming pool, luggage storage, fitness center, golf curse and tennis court .

One of the highlights of my stay was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Every member of the team was attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met. Whether it was the concierge assisting with local recommendations or the restaurant staff providing excellent dining suggestions, their knowledge and dedication truly enhanced my stay.

Arrived at 1:50pm, waited an hour to get checked in for rooms that I had booked a month ago. Then they later reveal to me that I have to pay extra PHP 800 per head for 4 adults that I've already paid for at Agoda. What a mess.

It's good for the price. Good to stay here if you just need an affordable place to sleep in while you visit Tagaytay. The wifi cuts off every five minutes or so. Sucks. Not recommended if you're going to do some bandwidth-heavy work while staying. Otherwise, it's okay.

It offers a nice view of Taal, what i like is the cool weather where you can do outdoor sports activities like badminton. The place is relaxing and clean while the staff is polite and helpful. It is also near cafes and restaurants...

This hotel was an absolute gem, offering a delightful combination of a refreshing pool, a spacious yard, and convenient parking. The pool was a serene oasis, the yard provided ample space for relaxation and outdoor activities, and the hassle-free parking made exploring the surrounding area a breeze.

It was a good place to unwind and walk around, enjoying the view. The only downside would be going back up to the main road specially there are no available public transportation

It's a terrible place to drive through from one end to another. Let me explain. I often passed through the property on rides to Laurel with my motorcycle. The guards had always been excellent and would accommodate me. My wife and I would have lunch at the country club a few times. So far, so good. Yesterday was a completely different experience with the "security personnel." I had just ridden my bicycle from Mayasang to Payapa, then to Laurel, then to Splendido, for about 15 miles (24 kilometers) when I approached the rear entry of the Splendido property, exhausted. I was stopped by security when they informed me that I wouldn't be allowed to continue ahead to the main road. I'm 63 and had just ridden about 15 miles on a bicycle, with the last 5 miles a very steep uphill climb. I was exhausted and unsure I could return to Laurel and find another way home. I explained that I had been through the Splendido property many times; however, these guards were not willing to be helpful in my time of need. In desperation, I informed them that I would continue the short distance to the exit ahead to catch the main road back towards Mayasang, where I live. I pedaled off and was nearly at the exit when a security officer in a three-wheeled vehicle chased me, telling me I must respect the "rules." As I was still pedaling, I informed him that I was nearly at the exit and there was no way I could go back to Laurel (8 kilometers or about 5 miles away) with the amount of exhaustion I was experiencing. This guy harassed me the entire time, and I was concerned that he would swerve into me to cut me off from the exit. Thankfully, after about 4 minutes of harassment from this unempathetic guard, I finally made my way to the exit road, and in another 2 minutes, I was at the top of the hill, ready to make my way home. I will never revisit Splendido because of the terrible attitude and my fearfulness of the guards on this day. The Splendido management should instruct their guards to discern those who might consider using their establishment because one bad experience will mean a loss of sales. I will be sure to share this terrible experience with my wealthy Filipino and American friends.

This was a pretty nice 3-star hotel! We booked a basic room using Agoda for around 3.5k—great price for one night. The Splendido property itself is a sprawling location with different buildings and a golf course. It was lovely to walk around in. The room was clean and spacious enough for 2 people. It also had a great view. Amenities were just ok and our stay was pleasant. Our only complaint was that the aircon was placed right on top of the bed and started dripping slightly.

Serene and peaceful spot. Would come back if I need a place to stay in Tagaytay again. Plus points that it's away from the heavy traffic because of the flyover construction.

TL;DR - AVOID THE RESTAURANT. The rooms were great. The place was quiet. The restaurant however, is not good. We opted for the lunch buffet only to find that the selection was few. Imagine paying $20 (PHP 999) for a Beef Stroganoff, stale drink, and dull desserts. It was also Mother's day, and we wanted to surprised our mothers with cake so we brought them cake. Then we found out that the staff told one of us that "Outside food and drinks are not allowed, however we will forgive you, because it's Mother's day". What the hell is that supposed to mean? For a meager cake? Are we supposed to eat the cake outside the restaurant and come back in? The restaurant sucks. THERE ARE MANY MORE OPTIONS OUTSIDE TAGAYTAY, AND WAAAY MORE CHEAP AND DELICIOUS. AVOID THE RESTAURANT.

Excellent location for all types of travellers. The only downside is that they don't have any sun parasols to make staying around the pool more comfortably.
