A place to visit! It's incredible the constant flow of people taking pictures and try to be close to his statue.. and of course, i did the same :)

This is a public bronze statue of Freddie Mercury along the Montreux boardwalk. It's always surrounded by people so avoid visiting on a Saturday or any time midday if you want easy access to a photo. You also might enjoy reading through some of the fan mail at the foot of the statue.

Being a Queen fan, this was a must see while traveling from Switzerland to the Burgundy region of France. The Freddie Mercury statue is on the shore of Lake Geneva in Montreaux, a short distance from the Montreaux Casino (the Deep Purple song Smoke On The Water). It was very cool to finally see this in person.

Iconic statue of Freddiein Montreux. We were fortunate to arrive here on the evening when there was a fred concert with Queen Forever. Great evening and great atmosphere.

The surrounding area was a little crowded and bustling due to the street market lining the promenade, but the statue itself is spectacular and easy to find while enjoying the views of the lake. Well worth the visit...

Beautiful place for a statue of this great musician. I suggest to also visit the Queen exhibition just a few hundred metres away in the Montreux Casino (entrance is free).

Beautiful statues next to the lake. People leave flowers and letters and candles. Great piece of history

Whether you’re a fan or not, it’s a nice thing to see a statue continuously being adorned with flowers. There a romantic walkway along the side whereby trees are on both ends. Quite scenic, would recommend.

Nice vibe around the place. Lots of eateries and the lake view just amazing. Perfect for a sunny morning or evening.

Statue itself very good likeness, Montreux's lakeside is not as well kept as the adjacent town of Vevey which has well set out town amenities - affordable shopping, lively famers'market, antique and collectables market and a clean, inviting promenade lakeside used well by bathers and picnicers.

Stunning view of the lake, the sunset here is one of the best, and the statue is very famous, you can find people all around the world visiting it!

This visit is one of the highlights of my 11 weeks roadtrip, i learned so much during this visit. And…. pleasant it was too!

Beautiful Statue of Freddie Mercury with the Beautiful view of lake, he is singer of the rock band Queen, settled in Montreux where the group had bought Mountain Recording Studio and where he learnt to appreciate the peace and quiet. He recorded his last album, Queen - "Made in Heaven" at the Montreux studio.

An amazing statue to recognise an amazing man. Not crowded when we went. An easy 10 minute walk from the station.

What an amazing place to enjoy the wonderful lake Geneva and be at least somehow near our dear Freddie who fills heart with unimaginable sorrow and joy simultaneously!

Very beautiful place with very nice attractions, Casino Montreux, Fredy Mercury studio, flowers by all the seasons, boats etc. I recommend!

Essential visit for any Queen fan. Recommended. Superb location to spend a day.

It's a statue alright! Interestingly enough, I was able to see it during a weekend celebration leading to his birthday, so many people were around. Unfortunately, the first and best set of pics (I took) were not backed up in my photos, so I had my husband text me one, and we went back to take some more. Nothing beat the evening shots I had the first time though.

Great to visit, the only downside is that their souvenirs are priced like for their car owners:) Marketing should keep in mind when pricing the souvenirs in the museum that visitors are, in 99.9% of cases, not Ferrari owners. €320 for the smallest version of a car, is too much. €7 for a similar size car at the Lamborghini museum...

I love the Christmas market very much. Besides the Lac Leman with the extraordinary view, and the market provide the best atmosphere and let you feel happy. We used a SBB ticket which included the return trains, a cup of gluhwein with a beautiful mug, and a cake. When you bought the ticket you can go to the store beside the Ferris Wheel to redeem these gifts. A wonderful night

A great place to stop by if you are a lover of Queen. I am sure this place gets a lot of attention during his birthday, and also his final day. The man has made a huge impact on the world, and it can be seen by all this fans. Swing by the old studio to get a feel for how things were done back then. Located inside the casino now.

Loved the place but people keeps staring on just. I think because we're minority and people there are racist but the town is awesome and the lake is great and the View.

This is a spectacular corner, a corner of the heart. If you are a fan of our beloved Freddy Mercury. The Montreux riviera is wonderful and has a light that will never go out.

On the foreshore with lots of photo opportunities on a good day. You will also find plenty of Queen memorabilia at the souvenir shop immediately across the road from the main square “Freddie Mercury statue” is located.
