Pool facts: was 80 degree water in August. It was very chilly after sunset. 8 feet deep at the deepest. Waves seem to be every 20 minutes or so. Surprisingly, the waves are the MOST intense in the shallow as you walk into the pool. Which wouldn't be good for toddlers and babies. (Like, the waves knocked me-a grown-up, over while sitting.) 3 student size tubes for all sizes of kids/adults. (Unlike Cherry Hill, which only has big ones.), I went here for a neighborhood party, and it was great. Big grassy area with tables for eating and mingling and playing yard games. They let us play loud, fun music during the party until 10 pm, which made it fun to dance in the pool. Fun pool! I will definitely be back. **If you liked this review or thought it was helpful, give it a thumbs up. 👍thanks!

Super excited to take my family here. Heard so much about it IN THE PAST. We get here and there is no where to put our things, there are no chairs to sit on (except for about 10 which were quickly swept up). The two covered areas are reserved only. I see elderly people looking for a place to sit and the pool just opened. I’m sorry but if you’re saying you don’t have chairs due to COVID-19, the studies show the virus breaks down in 80 degree temps. It’s going to be 97 today. Uncomfortable, absolutely no shade, tables, umbrellas or chairs. Just some METAL pick nick tables in the sun. Lost my business.

Does Layton Surf n Swim listen to feedback here? They now charge people sitting along the side of the pool. Not a reduced rate- full price! I used to love coming here. Unfortunately I want to go to other pools now. I arrived 1.5 hours before closing. I currently have a health issue that prohibits me from getting fully into the water. And I had not even packed my swimsuit to wade in. I then discovered a lounge chair was broken-- the hard way 🤣 (the plastic piece to hold up the back rest was totally broken off). Charging non-swimmers is a method of increasing profits that comes across as off-putting. The front desk person said new management changed up some policies, including this one. If management is reading this, please mention the changes on your website or Google listing. Also thank you for keeping the place clean, I always appreciate that! Here are a few ideas that might bring up profits and continue the good vibes that Layton Surf n' Swim is known for. 1- For customers who cannot swim, please offer at least a reduced rate. It goes a long way when you are understanding to your guests. 2- Create a separate Layton Surf N Swim FB and Instagram account. You have fans who would love to follow you specifically! It's hard to weed through Layton city posts. Post your calendar, hours updates, new programs, flash deals, basic info-- like how often the waves are turned on, what is allowed and what is not, etc. You can also post snacks available, employee spotlights, and job openings. This is also a great way to to cross-colaboration promos and shout outs with other local businesses. A well-written employee could draft a few months worth of posts somewhere for approval and queue them up in FB business suite. 3- Do Family Swim Night- offering a reduced rate for open swim on a certain night, this could help fill up your slower nights. 4- Hire someone to market to businesses for company nights. Maybe offer a flat rate and let them know max capacity. If they are good relationship builders, their position will pay for itself. I really hope some changes can be made. I miss the good vibes from this Layton gem!

So much fun. Wave pool is sooo fun! Spent 3 hours here and it flew by. Definitely recommend. Took 4 kids and myself and rented two tubes for less than 25$.

I have lived in Layton since 2021, last years the service was great, friendly staff, enough tables with umbrellas and spots to sit. This year, there is only one table with an umbrella, not enough sun chairs and the rules to play in the water make people feel that they can’t not have fun. For the first time in two years my children were not happy to be here. They closed at 6:00 when the schedule says that it closes at 6:45. We will still paid the same fee for less. I will go somewhere else to enjoy the summer with my family.

First time there.. didn't even know this place existed. Friend's bday party was there. Cool idea to allow for swimming even when it's not necessarily warm outside. Kids had a lot of fun. The ventilation could use some work.. the chlorine fumes are very overpowering. Will go back again (probably once the cover is removed for summer).. and would recommend.

Surf and swim is a great place to take your kids! The lifeguards are always super nice and watch your kids carefully. I would recommend coming here!

This place is always going to be a 5 star for me. Grew up here lifeguarded here for years, swam here for years. Is it the best comp pool? Nope. Does it have terrible starting blocks? Yep. Does it get cold in the winter? Yep But what it will always have going for it is the gradual slope which is ideal for kids and swimming lessons.

The wave machine was broken. I had to pay to watch my kid play most places if you watch you don’t have to pay to get in.

Never been to surf and swim, first time here and the staff were rude and unhelpful, they sit there and stare you then when they finally ask how can they help you and you ask questions you get made to feel stupid and uncomfortable. Swim was good the staff at front desk is rude
