Small museum just inside city walls full of archeology & artefacts of Roman Leon, some great manuscripts & lovely embroidered banners. A must-see for information about Roman history of Leon & its free. Limited parking, toilets, information sheet in different languages, excellent experience

(Translated by Google) ONE OF ROMANS!!! 📸 Good museum to have a good time. Knowing... Discovering... Learning. With very good explanations, illustrations, photographs... Conservation of remains of Roman architecture. You can walk along the outer wall. Very large spaces. Good access for people with reduced mobility. Free entrance! Oh... One detail. Have you seen the photo of a small window in the wall at low level? (You have to remember that the ground level before was much lower) Well, out there the women in those days who couldn't feed their children (prostitutes... concubines of the powerful... abused by soldiers... etc) handed them over by putting them through that window. This place had many uses, including an orphanage. 🙄 If you have read me, go ahead and press the 👍🏻 Review.... Ok? (Original) UNA DE ROMANOS!!! 📸 Buen museo para pasar un buen rato. Conociendo ... Descubriendo... Aprendiendo. Con muy buenas explicaciones, ilustraciones, fotografías... Conservación de restos de la arquitectura Romana. Podrás pasear por la muralla exterior. Espacios muy amplios. Buen acceso para personas de movilidad reducida. Entrada Gratuita! Ah ... 🙄 Si me has leído anímate y pulsa la 👍🏻 Reseña.... Ok?

Small museum explaining the roman origins of the town. It does not have much in terms of original artefacts and antiquities (except for walls and their remains), but it has on display some detailed reproductions of armor, weapons and buildings from roman times. While the exhibits are very interesting for kids, the museum lacks a kid-friendly set of descriptions and explainations. The visit is completed by a short walk on the roman walls, includes a room about the modern history of the city's growth and a selection of XX century posters of the city annual celebration, all welcome additions. The temporary exhibit of gladiators' clothing was appreciable, but so many pieces were retired for "maintenance" or moved around that it was hard to link descriptions with the costumes on display.

(Translated by Google) Interesting visit to learn about the history of León, 2000 years contemplate it. He guides her very well, entertaining and didactic in his explanations. The final view of the ruins of the ancient Roman baths is highly recommended.

A hidden gem in the city centre of Leon. I got a recommendation to visit it by a tour guide who was off duty nearby. I am so glad she talked to me because my trip was short and I did not hear about this museum. It definitely worths a visit to go to the garden, walls and learn about Leon.

Beautiful building where the old city wall plays an important role. The actual Roman displays are professionally done, but overall the content is somewhat limited. Yet, if the Roman history is new to you, certainly worth a visit.

Free museum in León built on the site of Roman remains. A vast amount of effort has been put into preparing and showing the exhibits to a high standard. 3 floors with elevator available. All the information is in Spanish but visitors are given a sheet of explanation in their own language.
