Location was perfect with picturesque views from the room, right opposite the underwater waterfall and gorgeous Le Morne Mountain. A 24 hour bar. The bar staffs made us mind blowing cocktails throughout the night. We loved literally everything about our stay. The beach is amazing, the pools are super nice. You can always decide if you want to relax and enjoy the calm side or join the divers program of the animation team - I would recommend joing them, the guys are incredible. The facilities are great, with a number of pools and a gym and spa. The room was a bit old fashioned but clean and comfortable with a nice sea view. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were substantial and suited all tastes with a huge variety of food to pick from.

Had a good time but still disliked MANY aspects of the hotel. Upon check-in, no staff showed us to our room. We spent some good 15-20 mins trying to figure out their location. Rooms were nice but lacked basic supplies such as nail files, shower caps, etc. Some even lacked coffee, tea and water bottles, which even after request, were never received. Nice restaurants but repetitive food in the main one. The Chinese restaurant was fully booked and no one warned us we had to book a table at check-in itself... A 'supposed' manager at the reception couldn't help us at all with the matter. Only the main bar served delicious cocktails. The other 2 really didn't put in much effort. Overall, Mauritians are definitely treated differently from tourists in this hotel.

This is not a 4 star hotel! My family and I had been at Riu by end of January 2022. I had been to many hotels in Mauritius previously. But never been dissappointed like in Riu Creole. Most of the facilities were not working, the food were not good same type of food for lunch and dinner. The staffs were very rude with bad manners including the manager who was very rude. The air-conditioners were auto operational which were not working properly. There were no waiters to serve customers. The customer himself had to carry his hot drink from the bar to his table. I had to keep my car outside the main gate of the hotel as the security officer said the parking was full. Later when I went to pay a check to my car, I noticed that others cars like BMW and Mercedes were allowed to park in the hotel's yard. Those customers check in after me. When I talked with the hotel's manager about this issue he was very rude and shouted loudly to me in front of other customers and make me in an awkward situation. My kids were shocked to see the manager behaviour towards me. I wanted to checkout immediately but didn't do so as I didn't wanted to disappoint my kids. Hotels like Riu should be banned from its services. No value for money at all. Riu Creole is not recommended to anyone. I had very bad experience there. .

The hotel was in a nice setting, cliffs one side, bright blue tropical beaches the other. Service and staff were incredible, some of the nicest people we have ever met. Food and drink service was great, food was always delicious and varied, the Asian restaurant being a personal favourite. Drink were never far away and always served with a smile. No snack options that we could see, food seemed to only be available breakfast, lunch, dinner, however this could be because we were out of season. Rooms are a little dated but nice enough to get your head down.

Not a so called 4* hotel. The room is not well maintained. Found lizards in the room. The interior of the rooms looks old and the bed not done properly. No quilt provided for a good sleep, fleece blanket given which is not nice. No bedroom slippers, no toiletries provided in the room. It's so underrated this hotel. Worst part is the food provided. Limited varieties in the spread buffet, desserts not at all good. Only the night show in the theatre was entertaining while you can grab some drinks at the bar. The hotel need to improve a lot in terms of cleanliness, maintenance, service, amenities and facilities provided.

Room is nice and the staff as well. I went there during the promo period, so basically the hotel was in a 'cost cutting' period due to covid impact. So, food was re-used....food that was left for diner was used to make lunch the next day. Else, the atmosphere was good.

Stayed in this property almost four years back on my honeymoon trip. The hotel is located really far away from the Airport but the location is extremely perfect for the vacation. The hotel arranged pick up for us from Airport. The front desk staff was very courteous. The property is really very beautiful and highlight is the swimming pool which really very big. As our tour package was covering everything, we had a very nice experience there. The rooms were very big and clean. There was a minibar too. We got complimentary champagne also from hotel. The breakfast is served with lot of varities. The lunch and dinner menu was also too good. The 24 hours snacks and drinks were provided. They have theatre, spa, water sports available. The evening performance in the open bar were also good to enjoy. They have 2-3 restaurant, Bangalore restaurant is one of the most desirable one. Overall excellent stay there and enjoyed lot.

Beautiful hotel with a amazing beach .. the staff is super friendly and we loved the food.. the girl at the kids club is also super sweet and friendly. There is room for improvement in the rooms ..they could be cleaner and there was mould in the bathroom. I also didn’t care for the entertainment who were screaming most of the day quiz questions and bingo numbers.. not much relaxing there at the pool .. so if the rooms were cleaner and the entertainment less noisy, I would give this hotel a 10 out of 10

The hotel online booking is the worst. Payment is not accepted online even though we used different card from different banks. When we call the hotel it is diverted to a call center where your problem cannot be solve because the agent cannot contact the hotel. Sent a mail and no one reverting back.

Hotel is being knocked down at end of October 2022. Staff and services are being run down. Our room was smelly due to blocked drains, someone did try to do something about it but wasn't wholly successful. Food is ok but not wonderful. Advertised as having a beach which is good for snorkeling but it isn't, sea is very crowded with wind surfers which makes it too dangerous to swim in. It is also very windy here. If anyone has booked to come here this year then I advise you to rebook to a different hotel.

3 years ago the hotel was one of the best. After several visits, we can say that now it is one of the worst. a very poor service at the reception desk the staff acted as if were disturb thrm. The reception staff are not welcoming. table map with holes and tears in the restaurant. no mini bar in room. The only positive point was certain staff from the activities team was excellent🤙 Its really time for the closure.... let hope that new Riu hotel shall really be a Palace like they said🤐

Been pled this as a place between jobs to relax and reset. Arrived and staff were friendly and welcoming. Could have shown us to the room, but was easy to find. In the room air on is either on and freezing or off and warm, temp setting doesn’t work (or needs some instructions). Internet is patchy in room at best. Came back to relax and couldn’t connect. Staff were friendly. Bar staff could use some training. Very limited menus and no crushed ice. Been here three days and still out of Strawberry Daiquiri!!! Service also quite slow. Food is ok, just pretty bland. Have sauces and chillies to spice it up though. Water sports are included BUT not for beginners. Need to be experienced or they won’t let you out with items without training (at a cost). Activities are fun and frequent enough (don’t feel you need to join everything but not so seldom you feel you missing out). Show was good (Fusion), started off slow but ended on a high. Will say didn’t get ‘fusion’ element but I am not that arty. (That being said Sam Smith song was the highlight as that did make sense to me with the theme.) I will say overall I don’t think this is a 4 star resort, and overall a little underwhelmed. Have a few more days here and will update post stay.

I never bother writing reviews, but I'm genuinely shocked as to how this place has a 4 star rating. Currently staying here and the hospitality and cleanliness have been the worst I've experienced in my entire existence. You cannot even walk around your hotel room without having gunk stuck to your feet, it is sticky and smells of humidity which is disgusting. The bath tub is a big turn off to look at, very unkempt. At the main restaurant the waiters don't clean the tables and mats. *experiment* you can use a wet wipe to clean down the table & mats and see how brown/black it gets. The tables are very sticky, and when asked to clean down, the staff don't like it. You get served used cutlery too. The pool was filty inside and out, we used it the first day and were out in 10 minutes. If you are unable to keep up with the standards of 4 star you should admit it and publish it on the internet, at least people will know what to expect. You're a 2-3 star hotel at this point.

The place is very beautiful. However, don't take the suite. There is no sea view in the suite, you only see trees. Suites are only in 2nd floor, the lift doesn't work. There are normal rooms on ground floor with excellent sea view, rather go for those. Service is not too good, I asked to change to a normal room with sea view but they didn't help with that and told me to come and ask again in the evening. So don't take the suite, they're not the best rooms.

We had a blast at this hotel. The location is absolutely fabulous for water-sports. Perfect to practice kite, windsurf, diving is excellent. The hotel is very appreciated by locals and that’s quite a good sign. Thank you for all the staff, and especially to Moussa, and the host managers. I hope to see you soon

Everything was beyond expectation. The staff was extremely accommodating to my daughter's special requirements and went out of their way to make the stay as comfortable and unforgettable as possible. It's the perfect hotel for any family with young children. There is something for everyone. An amazing place for a relaxing care-free holiday

Our stay in Rio Creole Mauritius was really fabulous...We had Ocean facing room, the view was just awesome. The staff of the hotel were all very polite & made our stay very comfortable. It is an all inclusive hotel...the buffet breakfast, lunch & dinner were a wide variety. The housekeeping staff maintained the cleanliness of the rooms everyday. The staff in the reception were all too good & co-operated whenever we faced any little problem. On the whole, We had a most beautiful stay. Thanks to Riu Creole staff & management.

We weren't happy with quality of food in hotel or the fact that our room was right next to club. Front desk told our tour operator we could check out early and get a refund so we did and went to a much nicer hotel. However they have since ignored this request and we are £1500 out of pocket. Thieves run this place.

Nice hotels. Stayed at the Riu Le Morne and spent most of my time at Riu Creole. Need to remember that it is a 4* hotel. Food was fine. Staff was great. Would go back.

A typical 'all-inclusive' hotel but the rooms are a little jaded (I heard that the owners are going to knock it down and redevelop it). Friendly staff. Great for families and water sports. Not so great if you want peace and quiet!

Riu Creole is my favourite hotel so far ❤ My dad is a bit choosy when it comes to booking a hotel but the first time we went there he loved it! Actually everybody loved their stay! I celebrated my birthday there together with my family and siblings and we had a really good time. This is the 3rd time I've booked this hotel and is looking forward to coming again this year. Really hope we get the same service ❤

For a first time, "I love it". The food was delicious, the staffs professional and the show amazing. Hope coming back soon. 💙

The entertainment was superb Never experienced these kind of animation in other hotels I visited even 5 stars ones. If you want to be entertained the Riu is the place to be. However if you want a quiet time then there might be other better options focusing more on infrastructure and food.
