It was my second time to visit the hallab 1881 in byblos and have been satisfied twice. The knefe with cheese is the best thing to eat. The manager also checks the table and makes sure everyone is satisfied with their meal. Will definitely recommend this place.

We ordered داعوقية, paid 32$ for the kilo and we didn't get any value for what we paid! The ashta cream is very stingy, all we could taste is the sugar in the pistachio dough! I've tried this sweet at other places and the ashta was ×4 thicker!! Same thing happened with mloukiye last month! I'll not give it another chance with you! You should respect your customers and give them the expected value!

I've heard and wanted to try their chocolate knefe for a long time. It's not worth it. Knefe is heavenly on its own, don't mess with it The knefe was good but I felt slightly disappointed in the quality. It wasn't very warm and the crunchy part around the cheese was overly so and didn't really enjoy the cheese. What made up for everything for the worker there. He was EXTREMELY hospitable and friendly and made the entire visit a positive one. I do always admire Hallab's authentic feel and how they stood their ground by staying relevant and authentic while the rest went super modern in their locations.

Very bad customer service at the byblos branch. I understand employees are careless but the manager too? Need to learn basic communication

Very poor service and unfriendly welcome, staff can be vulgar and impolite, not bad knefeh though

A simple knefe made to perfection! The cheese is warm and stretched so smoothly, the simple syrup is light and fresh, all combined with the knefe mix in a light thin tasty ka3ke. Simply an amazing tasty treat.

Best sweets place all over the world not just Lebanon, everything there is recommended starting from Arabic Sweets to western cakes and ice cream.. The place is one of the cleanest, the employees are very kind and helpful. Toilets are clean, free parking lot but a little bit crowded.

Never order online from Al Hallab’s website; they are scammers. I live abroad and wanted to send a gift of Lebanese desserts to my family in Lebanon. Sadly, my experience was terrible. I had to wait for 2 hours for the delivery, but it never arrived. When I called them, they demanded an additional $1.36 for delivery fees. I decided to send someone to the branch to pick-up the order, and they assured me it would be ready. However, when they reached the Jbeil branch, they had replaced one of the items with a cheaper alternative without any explanation or refund. Too bad!!!!

Our waiter was very professional.. as always.. Hallab was delicious.. I would easily put 4.5*! Every time I go to lebanon I gain 5 pound only because of Hallab, but it’s worth it!

I always enjoy my time at Hallab, we stopped by for some ice cream and Lebanese sweets. Everything was really good, from the nice ambience and helpful staff to the tasty desserts. The ashta ice cream was really good, so was the beqlawa.

Really disappointing. Apparently the Tripoli one is better though. From the outside it’s all shiny and nice looking but sweets were pretty stale and average. You’re better off heading somewhere more unassuming and local.

After having some dates and walnut confectionery I had to come back for some ice cream. Both were excellent. Cakes were not too sweet and had a subtle aroma of rose water, pastry was fresh, delicate and slightly crumbly contrasting with firmer texture of the filling. Perfect interpretation of traditional recipes. Ice cream, mango and mulberry were full of flavour and fresh and traditional Lebanese variety nutty and intriguing. Staff and manager were extremely helpful and patient with foreigners making their choices. Recommended!

Their service is great inside if u want to stay inside or for take away. This is the best place to buy sweets from. Ice cream is so yummy as well. You can also try plat the jour so tasty. Highly recommended.
