Edit 2023: Been a few times now. Great fish and chips every time. Came for Friday fish and chips. And was not disappointed. A good size portion and piping hot. A real bonus is that this is BYO so we complemented our dinner with a Mount Barker Riesling. A great evening.

Placed an order for a dinner for two, including a dozen oysters, mussels in a tomato-based sauce, two jumbo prawns, a salad, and a garlic-cooked whole lobster. However, the oysters lacked freshness, the mussels were enjoyable in the tomato sauce, the jumbo prawns were disappointing due to their soft, unfresh texture, unlike the flavorful and fresh prawns known for their good bounce. Additionally, the lobster, lacking freshness, was fried slightly to offset this before being cooked with garlic.

Great atmosphere and comfortable seating, service was great! And the meals delicious, the menu is quite broad and the prices are medium to a little expensive. Parking can be a bit difficult during busy times. The sizzling garlic prawns were delicious, the red curry tiger prawns a little too salty. A shame they took thir famous linguine of the menu. Overall, it was a good experience.

A great place that got even better after the upgraded the menu! Now there are more grilled fish options like the one below and other healthier yet delicious dishes like the BBQ octopus and the ceviche. They use an excellent olive oil in their dishes. If you want a break from having chips with every single fish dish you order, get over there. But yes, they do have fish and chips if you don't want to try something different...

Lunch service only starts from 11.30pm. Had the octopus, scallops which were excellent. Octopus texture resembles chicken which was so interesting and the romesco sauce (roasted capsicum purée) was addictive. The garlic butter half was over cooked. The cheese mornay was good. The lime and garlic crème brûlée was on point.

I'm not a seafood person, so the smell of Kailis when you first walk in is really off putting. Took my son for some fish and chips as a treat. He had the kids version. Kids version of Fish and Chips is excellently priced and he ate the whole lot. The normal serve however....was the most expensive fish and chips I've ever had. Now, if it was also the best fish and chips I probably wouldn't be so down about it. The fish and chips were alright...they certainly weren't bad, but for $34 I was expecting something much better than what I was served. I've had much better and fresher fish and chips, for almost half the price and multiple other suburban fish and chip shops in the last couple of years. Can't see myself coming back.

The oysters were a little small, seafood chowder was too creamy, pasta was over cooked (far from al dente), and red snapper was also over cooked. Such a pity. Everything we ordered was a letdown. Only good thing was the service, it was decent.

Came on a weekday and the place was full. Staff were attentive. All the seafood we ordered was fresh. Some may find it pricey.

Amazing mussels. I tried not to eat too much shell food during trip to avoid possible sickness, I tried their mussels on my last day trip and I just can’t stop it! The hotness is just just right, u can feel the hotness but not making u sneezing! 👍🏼others r just mouth watering too! The staff was very very helpful , familiar with the food they serve with very good recommendation!

We just celebrated a family member from overseas birthday. We were well looked after by Aisha (unsure of spelling). Food was good and we had a lovely night due to the great staff! Keep up the good work.
