Wonderful Experience!!! Scott is one of the best server's I have ever encountered in my years of eating out at restaurants. I'd literally drive all the way from Hamilton to Kingston to eat here just because of him alone! The food was great (above average for Denny's) and Scott made our whole group of friends feel like he was just part of the family! We had so much fun. Thank you so much Scott and hope to see you again soon!!!!

Rating is on the food alone: hash browns were a bit under cooked and I swear I've gotten larger portions at other Denny's for the eggs (American slam) compared to what I received here. Anyways, worth it for the calories and the service was good despite being very busy.

We've been to this location on many occasions and received good food and good service BUT both the service and the food we received tonight was absolutely HORRIBLE! My order was wrong not just once but twice and, I don't know how but, orders were cold too. I'm assuming this is the reason for the many empty seats at dinner time during the holiday season? -Customer-No-More!

We ordered take out the other night. 78.00 of food and it will not happen again. The food was lackluster. The portions were horrible. We paid extra for smothered cheese fries and as you can see from photos that's not what we got. There was no queso in the bag. Got hash browns as a side and there were 2 forkfuls that's it. The sandwich was good. They didn't have onion rings so we got fries in the Sampler and for over 18.00 it's not worth it as you can see the portions were very small. We will never order again. I feel like we wasted so much money on this. Sad because we used to love Dennys. Maybe eating in store is better.

Breakfast at Denny’s Kingston for the first time since 2019. Service was beyond excellent. Our server, Scott, was the perfect person to be working a breakfast shift. His jokes left us smiling throughout the meal. Food was tasty and well prepared. Very good value. Overall excellent experience. Accessible location.

Amazing food. We recently moved to town and I've never tried Danny's, figured I'd give them a try. I ordered through Skip the Dishes and it was great. The food was packaged nicely, they gave me all the extra different sides for the bonus desert.... my baby is learning how to eat soilds on her own so I wanted to order something easy. She loved the eggs and grilled cheese. I am in love with the Apple crisp and will have to order more to freeze and eat when I have a craving for something sweet and delicious. I also loved that the manger took her time to write a note and send a free extra dessert. I've ordered a few times from other restaurants through skip the dishes, but the Manager at Dennys went above and beyond to make it that much more enjoyable.

My wife and I always make a point of coming here for breakfast when visiting Kingston. The staff are always warm and welcoming and they have a great selection of breakfast options you can't get elsewhere. In fact, this is one of the few places I order pancakes as they are so indulgent (my favouriteis the Cinnamon Roll Pancake Breakfast! Great place to eat for families and couples.

We were there last night. We waited for ovee 30 minutes to get a seat. There weee tables but they were not being cleaned off very quick. It took 45 minutes to get our dinner. My wife & I both had the country fried steak. The waitress was very quick for refills & was very polite and friendly.

Our waiter was great, but there must have been a snafu in the kitchen. We waited a very long time for our food and when it arrived it was cold. The poached eggs were hard, the over easy eggs were still gelatinous and sausages cold. I was very disappointed.

Husband and I came here for breakfast today (Saturday morning). He ordered a build your own slam- which they split into multiple plates- and brought out nearly 15 minutes at apart. I ordered the steak and eggs, which was inedible. The steak itself tasted as if it was soaked in a salt bath. Eggs were cold. Overall, not a good time and we won’t be returning.

The place was clean. I felt safe. The service is great. Michelle is an amazing staff member!

First time eating there. What can I say, Olivia was amazing and breakfast was excellent. We were watching the staff prepare orders, serving clients etc. it was really nice to see them work as a team. I met Gloria as I was paying, what I great lady. Gloria, my son will be there for the next 3 years, we will see each other again and again. Thank you for your excellent service. This is our Dennys of choice in Kingston. I love when I come here we always see the same servers and that says a lot that on staff retention. Today we had Candy as our server and she was so great and very helpful with the menu. My son has a nut allergy and she was good to let the kitchen staff know. The food was delicious my favourite is the make your own slam breakfast. Our other favourite server is Scott! He’s very friendly and has a good sense of humour, nice to have on a Sunday morning breakfast.

Laura was the best server I have had in forever. The staff really took care about my food allergy to mayonnaise! Even the manager checked in often to ensure all was well. Great place. Love Denny's already, but this one is extra special.

Just had breakfast here with my family of five, and Candi was our server. She was delightful - very friendly and enthusiastic - the epitome of what customer service should be all about (unfortunately, very hard to come by these days). Candi made our experience very enjoyable. The service was fast, and the food was good and hot. This location is lucky to have her.

Just wanted to take a second to recognize the service we had yesterday. My girlfriend and i stopped in for breakfast and were extremely happy with how well we were treated. Our coffee refills were timed perfectly, our food came extremely quickly (thanks cooks!) And our waitress nailed it. This is probably the second or third time ive had Candi as my server and was thrilled to see she was working. Shes been exceptional whenever shes had my table. Thanks for another great experience!

Absolutely nothing to say but a great experience. Our server Candi was pleasant, full of energy and so attentive. When we ordered a meal to split, she ensured that everything was split before it got to the table. It was so refreshing to have such a happy waitress with such a wonderful demeanour. Will definitely be back.

Kept to covid 19 protocol very well.

The entire team at this Denny's were amazing. My partner and I went for Valentine's Day, and even though they were understaffed, Chayse and the rest of the team were all so incredibly sweet. The food was delicious and quick to come out despite how busy the kitchen was! I've worked in food service before and I understand how hard it is to run understaffed, so I am very very pleased with the service we got. Please pass along my thanks to the team!!! The banana caramel pancakes were exceptional, I highly recommend trying those if you can. Great work everyone!!

It was absolutely delicious. My mom decided to bring me here since this is my first time… absolutely amazing. The wait was a little long, but there was one cook so I get it. But the wait was very much worth it… I definitely plan to make this a normal stop every time I visit Kingston

Sorry. I didn’t think of taking a picture until it was too late. So delicious. The eggs were perfect today. Not too wet, not too dry. And the pancakes were light and fluffy as always. You’ll have to take my word on it though. Next time - I’ll take a picture.

Candi was a FANTASTIC server!!! Kind and quick service WITH a smile! She was attentive and made sure our coffee was full as well as our belly’s 🥰. Very hard to find great service like this now. Will definitely be back, even if it’s only for food 😀.

As a former resident of this city many years ago, visiting this particular Denny's as part of my bachelorette visit was a trip down memory lane. To my delight, my bridesmaids had never been to a Denny's before, and they were pleasantly surprised by the experience. The restaurant has maintained its charm. The fast service, incredible food, and friendly staff all contributed to creating a truly memorable visit. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff at this Denny's went above and beyond to ensure our visit was enjoyable. They promptly seated us and provided excellent service throughout our meal, making us feel like valued guests. Speaking of the food, it was absolutely delicious! The menu offered a wide range of options to suit everyone's tastes, from classic breakfast dishes to mouthwatering burgers and decadent desserts. The quality of the food was top-notch, and it exceeded our expectations. Revisiting the Denny's on Gardiners Rd brought back a flood of happy memories for me, and I'm grateful to have shared this experience with my bridesmaids.

I came in to grab some breakfast and was so impressed at how kind and friendly the waitstaff were. Not only while serving me, but while attending to other customers, and interacting with fellow staff, the servers were incredibly polite and warm-hearted. The food was delicious, but the atmosphere and service filled me up more. It's so rare to find these days, thanks so much!

Great place to sit with a relaxed breakfast while waiting on car repairs. Candi is so friendly, very attentive. Highly recommend the bourbon bacon cheeseburger, totally stands up for breakfast. Diner atmosphere is adequate if that's what you're here for

We got to Denny's just shortly after 10am and placed our order. We had our one year old with us, along with another one of our kids. Our one year old was starting to get extremely fussy, and finally at 10:50 our server came over to ask us how our food was. We did not have any food in front of us. Everyone else around us had been served. We asked the server if he could check in how long our food would be as our daughter had to catch a train. He came back and said at least five if not more minutes. We are pretty sure our food order wasn't put in to the kitchen and it was a scramble to get it put in. We told him we couldn't wait unfortunately because we had to leave for the train and wouldn't even have time to eat the food. The server told us "sounds good" and walked away from us. No apologies or anything, just a "sounds good" and walk away. So we left with our crying child and other daughter to run and catch a train, while no one was able to eat.

The place has changed a lot since I was last inside this locations restaurant. Use to be a favorite place to go after work as you got alot of food for what you were paying and the waitresses and cooks were phenomenal. But the staff here is no longer the staff I enjoyed seeing. The original staff were friendly and made you feel welcome. The man who seated us today was impersonal. And our waitress after delivering our food completely disappeared. It took us ages to get her to come back and give us the bill so we could leave. Not one person came to our table the whole time we were there in order to see how our food and service was or to inquire if we needed anything else. The food was sub par. The mac and cheese that was ordered was too salty, the fries and hash browns were burnt and the toast was the consistency of bread sticks. I honestly don't know how any cook can ruin toast but the cooks at this restaurant managed to do it . On top of the poor quality of the food the portions were half of what I use to get when ordering. Overall not happy with my experience today. As mentioned earlier Denny's was a favored place to go and get breakfast or after work comfort food. But after today I won't be returning to the Rio Can location.

Our server was Candi and she was very knowledgeable, polite, friendly and attentive. She recommended a couple of menu items to try and up sold us on the sides of gravy. Upon receiving our bill she was seating a table with children and was helpful in getting them settled in. Highly recommend her to serve us again. Very capable and strong server who is able to easily handle 10 tables with 20+ guests on her own.

The food was delicious. I loved the pancakes and eggs Benedict with roast beef and hash browns. The service was great too with lots of coffee refills. It was nice to have breakfast out post covid-19 shut downs.

Good place to have brunch. Love hashbrown!

This has been one of our favorite comfort food restaurant for years. The staff are always so pleasant and the food is always hot and fresh. Highly recommend this location!

Very clean and friendly

Went in for a pick up order (breakfast) and food was amazing. Not only that, but it was my husband's birthday and they gave him a piece of cake to celebrate! Absolutely outstanding! .... It made our day for sure. The woman serving was great!

Awesome staff, great service. I recommend the pot roast melt. Very tasty, reminds me of the Sunday dinners from my childhood.

I work in a restaurant and I do have to say that the food at Denny's is absolutely amazing. I even went there for my 50th birthday two years ago. Denny's isn't expensive either.

The Seniors menu has a good selection of meals

Sat at our table for 10 minutes before we got our drink order put in, waited another 10 for our food order that our waiter misplaced and didn’t realize for 30 minutes. He then came over asked our order again and that it wouldn’t be to long as it’s not very busy. At this point we threw in the towel and left without replacing our order, what a mess! Very disappointed in service today.

They have a good over 55 menu. Love the scrambled with cheese.

Have the nachos..

Use a gift certificate for take-out. It was old, but supervisor took time to call a manager and asked if they could still accept it. They did and I enjoyed some tasty chicken bites with dip. Had been a while since I was there because of hospital stays. They were very understanding. I will do take-out more often now , and would even consider eating in as they appear to hav good contact tracing, social distancing, and cleaning.

Denny's is always a great place to eat at. This one upped the ante for others. Jennifer was attentive, smiling and eager to help without being intrusive. The servings were hot and plentiful. The spicy sizzler was very good and spicy just how I like it. The pancakes were fluffy and the chicken tenders crispy outside but tender inside. Good place to eat.
