Mr Wall has great knowledge of knee injuries. Unlike many other surgeons he is sympothetic to the needs of an amateur athlete and understands providing advice and treatment that will help a return to training and racing. After years of being told just to stop training he developed a treatment plan which has allowed me to return to doing the hobby I enjoy pain free. Surgery was quickly organised and performed to an excellent standard. I was provided with a detailed explanation of what was done in the procedure and photo examples. Excellent service and thoroughly nice man!

I sustained an injury to my knee four years ago whilst playing rugby. After three years of persistent knee pain, numerous rehabilitation cycles and previous orthopaedic opinions I sought Mr Owen Wall’s advice. From the outset Owen listened to the specifics of my problem and related them logically to imaging formulating a clear treatment plan. Four months following surgery I returned to running and after twelve months have returned to playing rugby without symptoms. Owen’s expertise has enabled me to look forwards to a sporting future!

I cannot thank nor recommend Mr Wall highly enough for the excellent care he has taken of my 84 year old mother whilst she underwent knee replacement surgery. I went to see Owen after an injury I incurred while playing football professionally. My scan showed only one tear to my meniscus. After meeting Owen he put me at ease and we went ahead with the surgery. Owen discovered two tears to the meniscus, he shaved one small tear and repaired the large tear. He done an excellent job, maintained regular contact post op and I couldn’t thank him enough. I’m now back playing and that’s all thanks to his excellent expertise.

Through years of football and a bad cycling accident my knees had become that of a man twice my age. Through the cycling accident I was fortunate enough to acquire the services of Mr Owen Wall as my consultant. In the last 18 months I have had two Total Knee Replacements. The first one is now fully functional with great bend and totally pain free (after only 6 months). The second is pain free and almost there with the bend. Right from the initial consultation he took time to get to know me and my needs before proceeding with diagnosing the problem and ended with an arthroscopy. I had struggled with patellar tendinopathy for several years with the chronic pain slowly becoming worse and impacting on daily life as well as preventing me from training and participating in sport. Physio and less invasive treatment did not resolve the issue. 8 months on from the operation performed by Mr Wall and the pain is largely resolved and I am now training 4-5 times per week again. The knee feels about 85-90% back to normal and is continuing to improve. I am very happy with the results.

Last year I had severe pain in my right knee and could hardly walk. After extensive research I chose Owen Wall which was a fabulous decision. He informed me I would need a partial knee replacement. I could leave it, but that would probably result in a full knee replacement in the near future. I was quite nervous about the operation, but everybody involved was absolutely fabulous. The level of communication throughout the process was great and the process re MRI scans etc were quick and I couldn’t fault the level of after-care. I chose to have the operation at the Nuffield in Leeds going into theatre I was somewhat nervous, but everybody put me at ease and we’re so kind and comforting. After the operation they had me walking up the stairs then I was able to go home I would urge anybody to keep up with the physio that they recommend you do at home. I would like to publicly thank Owen Wall for his incredible skill and a year on I’m playing Tennis, Padel, Golf, Walking 10k steps a day and riding my Peloton Bike 10 miles with no issues whatsoever which I find amazing. Mr Wall replacement my right knee in April 22 and I enjoyed it so much I got the other one done in September 22. After suffering with knee pain and reduced mobility for a few years I am now pain free and back to walking, rowing and fishing! Owen and his team at Nuffield are excellent. Mr Wall was recommended to me after I ruptured my ACL and tore my meniscus playing basketball in September 2022.
