My friend and I visited for an overnight spa package with evening meal. The staff were very attentive, friendly and professional. The hotel was immaculate. Spa was nice, but would of preferred more time in the spa. Corrina did my massage, she was very friendly and made me feel at ease. Laura on the spa reception was so kind and inviting. Our evening meal was superb, one young member of staff with long earrings was more than accomodating and friendly, sorry I think she called Amelia. Breakfast lovely. Wish we could of stayed longer....only comment had a bath and couldn't stop the taps, but told the reception staff and thankfully no flood....

Me and my wife had a really enjoyable stay. We only stayed 1 night, to get us away from our daily stresses. It is my second stay and my wife's fourth. We both had an evening 2 course meal, the food was okay-good with a good selection on the menu. Food for the breakfast was very filling, well cooked and with a good selection for all. Staff at the hotel/ Restaurant were exceptionally attentive. The place was very clean, tidy and a pleasure to be in. To say there's 4 floors with a hefty amount of rooms, the evening seemed pretty quiet. Each room has everything you would need (and more), so no need to pack towels, robes, slippers, shampoos etc. A good selection of drinks were also available with an abundance of milk and chilled water dispenser at the end of each hall. The pool/ spa / sauna/ jacuzzi was sooo busy, in fact... The entire hotel seemed packed. I would definitely recommend this place to any member of family or friends and will of course be coming back again. Keep up the great work!

Spent one night at this hotel. Check in was quick with friendly staff. The room was spacious, I would say bigger than the UK average. The bathroom had both a shower and a bathtub. There was coffee, tea, hot chocolate in the room, also a mini fridge. The bed was comfortable with two choices of pillows. The spa was really good, the pool is very good size. The steam room, the sauna, and the Jacuzzi were also great. The breakfast is table service, and was tasty. I would visit again.

Booked a double bedroom for one night. Upon arrival the bed was two singles pushed together. Receptions response was " you need to check with us before hand if you want your room to have a double bed"..... The breakfast service was amicable. Wrong orders left right and centre and long wait time. Alot to improve on. The spa facilities were great and the staff were too class. Overall the rooms are really nice but the bed was the nail in the coffin for the review. Poor value for money as a result of the bed giving me back ache..

Another fantastic visit to The Thorpe Park Hotel with friends. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. We loved every part of our visit and can't wait to visit again. The Terrace restaurant is a lovely extra to the hotel 👌

Came for food at the restaurant on a Saturday night. Great menu and very friendly waiting staff. Live music didn't give the ambiance I was hoping for (quite loud in general), so I was grateful to be seated as far away as possible. Really good food and range of choices.

Amazing 👏 My boyfriend took me here for a weekend break to have some me time because I'm a full time mummy, from when we got there the staff were absolutely brilliant the staff at the reception are well mannered and well educated in there roles. Are room was clean and well nice, bed was so comfortable didn't want you get up! We ate there the 3 nights we were there and the food well I have no words absolutely from absolutely unreal. The staff in the restaurant were top notch too, I have to make a special appreciation to Etienne because he was outstanding all weekend, well mannered, knew his job role and he absolutely smashed it. Definitely will come back for another weekend away! Well done Thrope Park Hotel & Spa!!!!

We booked a spa morning with lunch and it exceeded our expectations! Very welcoming and friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, great facilities, drinks offered and could be drank by the pool and an amazing afternoon tea all for £55 each! The only small thing I thought was missing was in the showers there was only body wash to use. I have been to cheaper spas and they have offered shampoo and conditioner (had them on pumps on the wall). The changing rooms were very busy and cramped but this was perhaps due to us using the men’s and the women’s were been refurbished. Nevertheless would definitely reccomend this spa!

My husband and I arrived at the hotel earlier than expected and very kindly we were checked in by the staff on reception. Upon arrival at our room we were met with a chilled bottle of prosecco. The room was very comfortable with robes and slippers set out, along with a great selection of toiletries. Due to our early check in we had full use of the facilities for the whole afternoon before dining in the restaurant that evening. The food was excellent and our waitress, Laura Cullen, was very attentive and engaging. The pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were fabulous. Definitely be looking forward to staying here again.

We were there for our daughter's wedding which was the most amazing day. The staff and the service were excellent. The food was wonderful too, no complaints at all. We can't praise Lewis enough he was so helpful and professional all day long. All in all extremely happy and a wonderful hotel - we will return very soon.

We booked a spa morning session paying a supplement as it was a Saturday. Pleased with the treatments we had - both very good - but unhappy that we shared the overcrowded spa pool and facilities with many families and kids. Not what we were expecting or the peaceful experience that was promised. Also we had spa lunch - very hard to get our plates cleared and our second course - 2 visits to reception needed. Wouldn’t recommend to friends or visit again because of these factors.

Just got back from the 2night xmas break. The whole experience was amazing. The staff were wonderful so helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and delicious also very plentiful. We would like to offer our complements to the Chef and his team for all the hard work. The rooms were very comfortable with everything at your fingertips.I would definitely recommend this Hotel as one of the best all rounder I have stayed in. I would like to thank all the staff for helping to make our experience so amazing.❤❤

I have stayed in a few spa hotels and by far one of the best. The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for you. I feel like everything was perfectly thought out in the hotel. Absolutely stunning. We had the most relaxing couple of days. Thank you for making our stay perfect

Upscale 4* Hotel. We only visited for am evening meal under the Apres Ski heading. The meal was served under canvas, but we were well protected from the worst of the elements by heaters and blankets. Our starters were excellent and the selection of charcuterie meats and bread was huge and some of the best we've tasted. The risotto balls were really good too. We both opted for beef bourginon really well cooked with divine mash plus optional grilled veg.

Absolutely fabulous - this hotel was amazing. From our arrival to checkout the staff for accommodating, polite and useful. Room service was fast and great, ashame we didn't get to use the spa/ pool but it looked fantastic. The beds were good, extra pillows and duvets, the amenities in the room were also great - white company. The rooms are spacious, water station and milk station on each floor which is fantastic, easy parking and safe location. Overall very impressed with this hotel, if I find myself up north again I'll be sure to stay here. Thank you

Our visit was to celebrate a special birthday. It was an ‘event’ evening based on 80’s music and included a three course meal and complimentary Prosecco drink. Everything we experienced was more than satisfactory from the standard of food (lunch in the courtyard before our check in time mid afternoon) the three course evening meal was exceptionally good. Breakfast the following day had lots of choices and service was really good. The pool and spa area quite busy and we were limited on time so didn’t use as much as we would have liked to but that’s nothing detrimental to the hotel. Our rooms were very clean and well equipped with various drink options. All in all a great experience and we would happily return for another events evening as it was great value.

Great location for a Business Meeting. This was the first time I have used this hotel to deliver a training course today. We were in room 2 which was spacious, very comfortable and had technology that was very easy to use. The staff were great. Firstly the two ladies on reception at 9am were very professional and friendly providing an excellent first impression and directions to the BusinessCentre. When I arrived at the Business Centre reception upstairs at 9.05am I was greeted by a gentleman with a smile, friendly welcome and clear explanation of of how meals and refreshments would be served and the best times for food (always very helpful when facilitating if there are other parties also using the venue as it ensures fast buffet service). The food experience was fabulous, well presented and of a good quality... it also tasted delicious. Thank you to all of the hard working excellent staff and I will definitely be using this hotel again as a training venue with my clients in North Yorkshire. Highly recommended.

Tech in Double Guestroom was poor - only 1 x USB Socket, bedside. Audio didn't work (asked Duty Manager to sort out, without success), so unable to stream music, radio etc. Water pressure (for shower) was weak. Breakfast Service (order at Table, rather than Buffet) was excellent!

What a absolute brilliant place this is I booked it for our 10th wedding anniversary and wasn't disappointed. the room was immaculate and beautiful with anything you needed there . The spa was clean and really chilled atmosphere and the ladies that did the treatment were really good I got the back massage and it was spot on . The food was out of this world and every dish we got was delicious absolutely no complaints we were served by Michael and he was brilliant advising us on food and drinks and he was spot on a real credit to the place . This is a luxury professional clean hotel can't recommend enough... We will be back ..

What a lovely hotel. I have no complaints at all. The food was lovely, staff were welcoming, free capsule coffee machine use and bath robes, free parking when ordering online. There is a bus stop only 5 minutes away that takes you straight into leeds city centre. Would definitely recommend!

This place doesn’t look like much from the outside, but it is very well appointed, clean and has a fantastic restaurant. The corridors are tastefully decorated with contemporary art and everything feels up to date and modern. The spa was pleasant but be aware they do allow children of guests to use it and have certain times at the weekends when members’ children are allowed in too, this is a pity and it would be much better if the spa was adults only but wasn’t a major problem. The pool could perhaps do with being 1 or 2 degrees warmer (several other guests commented on this), they could also do with more seating to avoid ‘towel wars’. If they could get rid of the pointless area behind the windows where day spa guests take their sandwiches and extend the spa so there is more space it would be ideal. By far the best feature of the hotel is the fabulous restaurant (they ask you to book), the quality for the price is phenomenal and the service is good too, the food far exceeded expectations. Breakfast was table service only rather than one of those dreadful buffets. The rooms are very comfortable with a coffee machine, fridge, safe, press the list goes on. Just about everything you would want. I particularly liked the bathroom having a separate bath and shower, the bathrooms are supplied with high quality White Company soap. The Wi-Fi was not 100% reliable but at least it doesn’t require an email address and those silly account registrations. Our car parking was included.

We were travelling to North Yorkshire and needed an overnight stay on the way up the M1. Was not expecting this gem of a hotel, tucked away in a retail/industrial park, 2mins from a junction. Friendly staff, lovely room and tasty breakfast. If we had longer would have visited the spa too.

Staff must be on drugs or there is something magical in Yorkshire water. Everyone - reception, dining room, cleaning staff, spa - all incredibly happy! Everywhere - staff are smiling, cheerful, helpful. A joyful experience being surrounded by such a delightful group of people. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you. Can't wait to come back.

A lovely hotel built in the 90's which gives you the feel of a country hotel when you step through the grand entrance foyer into reception. Spacious with the sense of good air flow without any draughts. We had my Special Mum's wake here and the service was outstanding.

Just spent the weekend with 6 family members at this lovely hotel and Spa. We were made to feel very welcome, staff were amazing. Breakfast menu offered a good choice, our evening meal was fabulous, I would highly recommend. Spa facilities were also very good. Thank you to all the stay making our stay the best, we will definitely be back.

Fantastic hotel in a great location. Lovely room with comfortable bed and choice of pillows. Fantastic food in the restaurant. Michael and Dan were very helpful and welcoming and explained the menus fully. Loved the spar and whirlpool with outside deckchairs and recliners. All staff were very friendly and even the maintenance staff took time to say hello. Fabulous. Will definitely be back Nigel and Cath

Stayed here before and always impressed with the friendly helpful staff. From Tia on reception and Michael in the dining room. Food is excellent and good quality from farm to fork. Good choice of wine to choose from. Enjoyed the 15 year old Dalwhinnie in the bar. Room was well prepared. Plenty of parking too. Swimming pool was a bonus. Recommended

Great location for exploring Leeds and York. We stayed on a Monday night so was quiet. Hotel leisure suite is well maintained and easy to access. Rooms clean but a little dated. Breakfast was table service which was spot on - plenty of healthy choices available which set us up for a day of shopping in Leeds. All staff friendly and helpful. An enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend.

Had a fantastic time we have been before and received great service which is why we came back. From start to finish they could not have done more for us. Tia on reception was so lovely, all the staff were. Room nice and comfortable which everything you need and plenty of space.

Not as calm and relaxing as was hoping for. Pool area felt more like a community swimming baths. Was given a conjoined room with the door locked between ,could hear everything in the next room. Conversation, phone alarms and kettle boiling. Breakfast was slow service, nice people but way too long for drinks. Cleaning staff playing music from their phones while cleaning near rooms that didn't want to be disturbed. Staff were the best bit.

  • 4/5 Sophia C. 1 year ago on Google
The staff were helpful and friendly enough. The spa facilities were lovely and made us feel really relaxed. The room was lovely, nice and clean with nice little additions like a coffee machine. I forgot a piece of clothing and called back to see if they had saved it and they said they'd save it for me so very happy. The only thing is that parking is listed on the website as £3 per night when it's actually £10, wouldn't mind but it would be good to have the accurate price before you stay. Overall the stay was wonderful and very good value for the facilities and quality for the room

Our son's wedding was held at the hotel. We stayed 2 nights. I'm please to say the hotel was nice and warm. The rooms were spotless, the bed comfortable and we were lucky enough to have one of the suites. The tea and coffee was replenished and clean cups. The staff were approachable and friendly. The wedding went ahead smoothly and the food was first class. Thank you Thorpe Park for a lovely stay and wedding

We stayed for 3 nights in a suite and it was lovely. The staff were amazing, spa was wonderful, pool area was very clean. We had breakfast, afternoon tea, lunch and an evening meal (not all on the same day!) and couldn't fault it. The alcohol is a bit overpriced and more towards London City prices so be prepared!

My wife is undergoing chemo at the moment and wanted to celebrate mother's day when she felt well. A member of staff was sensational in knowing we had covid concerns and ensured we felt safe throughout our visit. It was a special family day thanks to this lady. We had to rush at the end to meet our taxi time and couldn't thank the lady personally. Hopefully she gets the recognition and appreciation she deserves

I have stayed here several times and always enjoyed the spa and hotel facilities. However, this time there were several things that let the place down. Firstly, the room was cold and despite using the heating system, the room didn't warm up. In the spa there were not enough relaxers to sit on. However, despite not cheap, the food in the restaurant was delicious, so this made up for the other issues. Next day at breakfast, though, my group had to wait 90 minutes for our food! The staff were lovely and kept apologising, but nonetheless, that's how long it took! When it came it was tepid and had obviously been sitting somewhere coagulating! The lady who greeted us and said she would be looking after us must have forgotten her promise! As I say, all the staff were delightful but there really needs to be a front of house manager to take care of this sort of thing. I very rarely write a negative review but I feel my comments should be recorded.

Nice setting. Pleasant staff. Clean and modern. Food at wedding reception was excellent. But your credit card will take a big hit at the bar as price's were on the high side.

We had a fabulous half day spa experience here. From the welcome to the excellent beauty therapy by Karina to the 5 star facilities and healthy but ample 2 course lunch. We would have preferred lunch at the end but apart from this, we couldn't fault it. Highly recommended.

Fantastic place! I stayed there for a few nights and everything was amazing. The room was always cleaned to a high standard, fresh flowers in the public areas and the restaurant had a great team. In particular, we had a great server for evening meals and he was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. He literally knew everything so the service was perfect! Thank you all.

Comfortable and caring at a very difficult time for the family. The warm and comfortable embrace of the surroundings was exactly what I needed as we lost our Father. The girls at the desk remembered not to say 'Enjoy your Day' as we left in the morning and it is touches such as these that made a very hard time bearable. Access for me, as a wheelchair user was great and I could get a shower with ease. I wish I'd had time to try the Spa and the Pool, but not this time. Perhaps next time....? Thank You everyone. You were appreciated.

I visited this hotel twice with my friend and each time was sublime. All the staff go above and beyond and have incredible customer service. The rooms and facilities are clean and tidy. Meal services are wonderful with an extensive wine selection. Special mention to one of the waiting team, jasmine, who was an absolute delight. Looking forward to our next visit.

Loved this place. We didn't have time to use the spa but looked great. Food was delicious. All the staff were friendly and the young man who eventually served on the Saturday evening in the Restaurant was brilliant, just a shame about some of the others. We were taken to our table and given the menus and water by a young lady. But then no one came near us for over half an hour. We attracted the young man's attention and he continued to serve us extremely well for the rest of our meal. At breakfast the next morning it took a while too. If it had been extremely busy it wouldn't have been an issue but we were almost the only people in the restaurant on Saturday when we arrived.

My friend and I have just had a 2 day Spa Deal and again was not disappointed. This is our 4th time and we loved every minute. The food is amazing the treatments are 5* and the rooms are spotless. We would like to give a special thank you to both Anna & Dan. Anna looked after us during lunch and made us feel so special she is a lovely friendly young lady and Dan he looked after us during breakfast both mornings and again he is so friendly and very welcoming. We hope to be be back soon. Thanks again Debbie & Nicky

My daughter had her wedding here on Friday. The staff couldn't so enough to make our day so special. From the ceremony room to the reception room. Everything was set out exactly how we wanted. Rooms were lovely and breakfast was great! Fantastic day/evening.

Me and my friend had a spectacular spa date here. Lovely jaccuzzi and pool. Clean facilities and friendly smiling staff. We’re surprised with the light lunch, it’s a fab afternoon tea. However, I encountered an uncanny elderly that swam non-stop across the pool and I accidentally cut her swimming because I am swimming as well and she madly stared at me. I just ignored her freaky old woman. I still recommend this place. The treatments are all excluded, will try them when I have the chance to come back. I booked through Spa Breaks.

We took my mum for dinner at the Thorpe Park Hotel Restaurant for her retirement celebration and were incredibly pleased with the food and the service. Jack was our server and was excellent, very friendly, well presented and polite and incredibly knowledgeable with great food and wine pairing recommendations. The atmosphere in the courtyard is lovely, very warm and relaxed. The food is beautiful, I have to especially recommend the goat cheese tartlet - really gorgeous flavours! We will definitely be back. A special thank you to Jack!

We reserved a private dining space at the library suite after our wedding ceremony. It was perfect. The staff were friendly and treated us with complete respect. The food was fantastic. I couldn't recommend the hotel any more highly!

The breakfast was amazing with a wide choice. The spa and gym were lovely too with no restrictions for children which suited us. Having a fridge in the room was very useful and loved the milk option to reduce plastic waste. The lavazza coffee machine was a treat too. Overall a fantastic hotel.

Booked for our company meeting followed by an evening meal and stay. The business rooms are super and a good variety lunch was served. We had a pleasant evening in the restaurant , excellent food and service, especially from a young man named Etienne who was extremely polite and responsive. We will be returning.

Wife went to use a spa voucher she was gifted. She loved the experience, and found the place to be nice and clean with ample facilities. The car park has barriers with no board to state if they charge or not, which made it very awkward. You do get 20mins free drop-off grace, unsure what the actual charges are but seemed reasonable.

Short overnight spa break booked. Beautiful hotel and easy to find. Lovely pool area, not too busy for a Sat pm either so very good. Hotel room was very pleasing, comfortable bed and soft pillows made it a luxurious night's sleep. Only disappointments were evening meal experience. When we had booked our spa stay we were told we would have a table in the restaurant that evening. We found out a couple of days before that wouldn't be the case as it was fully booked and would need to eat in the courtyard. When my meal arrived the food was cold so had to return unfortunately. Morning breakfast was slightly disappointing too. My friends avocado on toast was burnt to a cinder and my eggs were cold. Other than that a pleasing stay.

Stayed 1 night and used the SPA facilities. All in all the stay and friendly staff was lovely and would certainly stay again. Obviously not the cheapest of places but the quality of the food, service and SPA facilities is great. Easy to find and park securely. Room was a second to top of range and to be honest expected it to be a little bigger and did look like it needed a refresh! User friendly and set out well, but the aircon was noisy and the shower not that powerful, but bed was comfy and a nice desk and settee for relaxing on and doing work at the desk. TV free with good selection of channels and tea coffee facilities although gaining water and milk means trip down the corridor to a water and milk machine. I would visit again but wouldn't say I would rush back. The SPA facilities of pool, steam room, sauna , jacuzzi and showers is great, lots of seats but at busy times you might struggle for a place. Didn't have any treatments but there were a good range on offer. I would imagine that an afternoon tea here would be delightful. Enjoy.

Rooms were lovely and spacious, our room had bath and shower facilities. Room very quiet with very little external noise. Robes were super soft. Breakfast was filling and very tasty. Staff all super polite and helpful. Room included access to swimming pool and sauna facilities. We had a very lovely relaxing stay.

Easy to get to, if a bit of an odd location inside a retail park. Super friendly staff throughout. Rooms are clean, well stocked. Lovely bathrooms, with decent sized towels. Spa, pool, sauna, treatment rooms are meticulously clean. Many options for facials, body treatments, ( though not cheap). Lots of choices on the 4 menus,if a bit pricey for some items. Decent breakfast too - table service. Only downside, bar closed at 11, even to residents and they were out of both Bailey's and Tia Maria. Plenty of other choices tho.

Secure site and parking, modern, stylish reception n café courtyard. Rooms are good and clean. The spa looks very enticing- maybe next time for me, although it is busy so u may need to book. I ate dinner in the main restaurant which had a good atmosphere. Bizarrely, I was seated in the same place for breakfast. Food on both occasions was good - table service only. It is a lively hotel during the day too with many people meeting for coffee n lunch. I'd recommend.

Visited for the day in the spa with my sister in law and then spent the night with my partner. Found the lounging facilities in the spa limited so didn’t spend as much time in there as we would have liked to. Izzy behind the bar was EXCEPTIONAL! So friendly and impeccable service. Cannot praise her enough she’s a credit to the team. Lady working in the courtyard part was so rude. Asked where we could sit to drink as we were in our robes and she looked at us like filth and said “well I wouldn’t wanna sit in the bar dressed like that” so so rude. Was disappointed with the quality of food on several occasions. Had a club sandwich in the bar which was lovely. Burger in our room was really greasy and soaked the bread through. And the texture of the burger wasn’t nice at all. Didn’t eat it. Breakfast the next morning was disappointing. Had breakfast on several visits previously and really enjoyed it but this time just didn’t enjoy it at all. The heating in our room didn’t work and it was freezing when we came up from the spa. Jess on reception was amazing and brought us a plug in heater but not really what you expect in a hotel of this calibre. Overall quite disappointed. Shame as I normally really enjoy this hotel
