Kirkstall Valley Nature Reserve

Nature preserve

πŸ‘ Even on a wet miserable day it is a joy to walk out with my walking group through the reserve listening to bird song - the reserve changes with the season . Walking lifts the soul.

Relatively Small nature reserve by the River Aire in kirkstall. Plenty of small pathways to explore. Need to take decent shoes as the paths are trails. Provides a good home for wildlife near the city centre.

Peaceful place, good for walking, close to the city and you will feel like you're away from all the city noise. It's a great place to clear your mind. Waterproof or water resistant shoes is preferred.

Not ideal for a decent walk. You'll need wellies, the track is very muddy, there's no parking and its only 1 mile all the way round. No room for social distanting if passing people so bring masks. I was disappointed

Lovely hidden gem in the heart of leeds. Very nice and quiet. Easy flat walk with the children.

Hidden in the deepest darkest ends of the Kirkstall Aire Valley lies this little gem.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Absolutely beautiful scenery, lovely to walk round (choose your route carefully, the long route is a lot further than it looks!) Plenty of parking for Β£4 all day, or if it's busy you can park on the road outside. Friendly staff in the little cafe which is reasonable. Lots of birds to see, depending...

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Always a lovely walk at Adel Dam, kids love it and we saw some amazing wildlife. We were especially lucky to see the Mandarin Duck, one of the most beautiful ducks in the world.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Lovely spot for a wild swim, warm, calm water with shallow edges and a gentle gradient in. I've been coming here for some time, and they've just installed a very handy bike & clothes drying rack neatly camouflaged as a nonsensical signpost
