Having
reached
my
mid
40’s,
the
state
of
my
personal
fitness
had
declined
to
the
point
where
basic
movements
and
activities
with
my
young
family
meant
that
I
had
to
take
breaks
and
struggled
to
keep
up.
In
a
word
it
was
embarrassing!
So,
in
late
Feb
23
I
reached
out
to
Chris
to
help
and
guide
me
in
improving
things.
Chris
took
time
to
discuss
my
goals;
however,
as
these
were
very
general,
he
translated
these
into
specific
ideas
to
achieve
measurable
progress.
The
effect
of
this
approach
has
been
evident
since
week
one!
My
posture
has
improved
markedly
in
a
short
space
of
time
which
has
had
the
added
benefit
of
almost
removing
the
shoulder,
neck
and
back
ache
issues
that
I
got
regularly.
Chris
took
the
time
to
explain
that
small
weekly
goals
would
be
a
key
part
of
the
programme.
This
meant
that
although
the
gym
and
the
work
inside
it
was
important
making
changes
outside
the
gym
would
be
key
to
making
good
levels
of
progress.
When
you
work
with
Chris
his
knowledge
of
how
to
progressively
overload
your
body
that
does
not
result
in
days
of
inactivity
is
second
to
none.
Since
the
start
of
our
sessions
I
have
left
the
gym
felt
like
I
have
worked
hard
but
not
like
I
don’t
want
to
return!
This
for
me
is
a
key
factor
because
my
body
is
a
little
older
it
does
not
bounce
back
as
quickly
as
it
once
did.
When
we
started
our
sessions
Chris
focussed
on
the
fundamental
movement
patterns
that
are
needed
to
lift
and
I
learned
that
I
had
learned
to
do
most
movements
incorrectly
which
if
done
repeatedly
over
time
would
reduce
the
effectiveness
of
any
training
and
may
have
resulted
in
increasing
the
things
that
were
giving
me
problems
rather
than
fixing
them.
Chris
delivers
what
is
clearly
a
deep
understanding
of
movement
and
strength
to
a
person
who
does
not
necessarily
have
or
need
to
know
the
underlying
details
of
why
something
is
happening,
although
he
is
happy
to
explain
if
you
ask!
He
is
also
great
if
you
get
any
niggles
or
tightness
with
suggestions
for
stretches
to
make
sure
the
problem
does
not
get
worse.
His
manner
and
sense
of
humour
gives
me
great
confidence
that
I
have
made
a
good
decision
in
becoming
a
client.
I
am
at
a
relatively
early
stage
in
the
process
with
Chris,
but
I
know
that
if
I
learn
from
him
that
I
will
not
only
meet
but
probably
exceed
my
expectations
and
end
up
with
a
body
that
can
cope
with
all
I
want
to
do
and
have
a
solid
foundation
for
learning
more
and
progressing
my
training.
I
would
recommend
anyone
to
work
with
Chris
and
I
am
looking
forward
to
continuing
and
getting
to
where
I
want
to
be.
