Bourlay Historic Nature Park

Tourist attraction Park Nature preserve

👍 A cool little park with a little over 2.5 miles of hiking trails. A quiet suburban park that is well shaded. Trail blazes could be a little more abundant but the trail is wide and well maintained. Mosquitoes are thick by the parking area and by the lake so don't forget bug spray. People often mention trails, park,

A nice hidden gem in Leesburg. It has great trails and even a fitness trail. The bathrooms are clean and kept up. There is even spots to have a picnic. Great historical buildings to look at, as well as a view of the water. I myself didn't walk ALL the trails, however i plan on returning for another visit.

We have lived here for more than 35 years, and we just found this lovely park right in the middle of Leesburg Florida. A wonderful place to visit to learn more history of our great town. It is worth a trip if you have not been there yet. I shot a few photos while we were there and glad to share them with any visitors. Robbie and Phil Bracco Photographer's for Beautiful Art Prints of all the thigs to see in our area.

This is a hidden park here in Lake County that sits kind of in the middle of Leesburg. It's managed by the Lake County Water Authority and is well maintained. There is a resident that lives in the old Bourlay house, that provides security and general up keep. This was a nice little park. The walking trails were the main feature here. Nice wide trails through the woods. The little cabin gives some history of the area and is neat to look at. There are bathrooms on site but I did not use them, so I can not speak to their cleanliness. I can see in the summertime that the trails may be muddy and have a few bugs joining you on your hike; so be prepared.

Live close by and just visited for the first time. Historical house on site (privately owned) and a cute little "welcome" center with lots of information. One of the trails was roped off, but the others were easy to navigate. Wasn't sure, but we brought our bikes, trail isn't really long enough for that. Good walking trails. MOSQUITOES!

Very nice nature park and trails. Has a bathroom with running water and picnic tables at the parking lot and trailhead. Walking all the trails took about an hour. Saw a barred owl and baby alligator. View of Lake Griffin at fishing pier. Trails clearly marked with signs and blazes. Nice place to get out in nature.

Miles of shady walking trails. Nice place for a relaxing walk. Restrooms available. Cool old cracker house is like a mini museum. No pets.
