We come here at least weekly. The sushi here? Best kept secret!!! All of my friends and family who visit me from trendy places like LA and NY are always super skeptical until the Sushi Chef at this place changes their mind. BEST SUSHI EVER. Food is great and staff treat you not only with respect but like family! Support this business. It's a Loudoun County treasure.

Such a lovely restaurant and delicious food. I think this is the best Sakura Japanese resturant i ever visited. The chef was well trained too. The resturant ambiance was very good. Neat and clean resturant. Seems it's very popular as it was completely filled to it's capacity. I would suggest everyone znd anyone shall visit with their friends and families. I will give 10/10 marks.

I had looked forward to take out from here all week for Mother's Day (we can't dine in due to small children and current health risks). My husband tried to call to place the order but the line was always busy. Assuming the line was down, he decided to go and place the order in person. There were workers inside but the door was locked with a reservations only sign. They refused to come to the door. Not sure why they don't just close. How would people book a reservation if they can't do so in person or over the phone and if they had one, how on earth would they get in... If you want to eat, don't bother. Ended up having to cook anyway to feed my hungry kids while we figured out a plan.

Edited 2nd review. We had a large group and decided to give them another try after my previous 2 star review due to an exceptionally long wait. We have also previously been to their Fairfax location and enjoyed it very much. This time it was excellent. In fact our chef was one of the best we have ever had, his attention to detail was amazing. The food was very good and I'm glad we have them another try.

I said it's in your menu I asked what kind you have cooked from sushi selection he said I can not order for you he closed the phone on my face . 😒 iam sorry but the management should look in to this coz they just lost a costumer .

Most of my party got sick after eating here. Those that got sick all had shrimp with their hibachi. That seemed to be the common factor. It's a shame because the food was tasty. The staff were very nice. The cleanliness of the restaurant and facilities were a little lacking. Sticky floors and facilities were not too clean. Such a shame as we were looking forward to eating there.

Oh my. While i can not speak for the hibachi, the sushi was surprisingly good. Perhaps that’s because my expectations were rather low… but this is a place i want to come back to. The fish is fresh, it melts in your mouth, and the mix was practically perfect. If you don’t like ACTUAL miso, don’t get the miso soup. It’s not your usual onion soup. This has actually miso. My wife wasn’t a fan but, as someone who regularly enjoys ramen, i loved it. Be patient, they are short staffed, but the staff that is here seems wonderful. I’ll come back and try the hibachi next month.

As A Top Tier Rater and Local Resident..... This place does not represent our community right. How about you start with hiring people that have respect. Food is blend. Drinks are bad. I demand for this place to be replaced. I respect all cooks and servers but when something needs to be said, I speak the truth. Thank you for your time.

Food was alright For $30 - $40 a plate you sort of hope it’s going to be amazing. Went on a Wednesday night so I guess I shouldn’t expect the best chef to be on, but this guy barely did any of the cool stuff that makes these places fun. Probably will go closer toward Tysons/DC next time.

I hate writing this review. I LOVE SAKURA. I’ve eaten at their other locations so specifically picked this one to have hood Japanese food but received the opposite. The food was so bland and the yum yum sauce was not great either which is usually the best part! The thing that really stuck with me was the fact that the cook used utensils to cook with that were touching raw meats and was not exchanged out or cleaned. He used the spatula to put the raw chicken on the grill and cook it up then immediately used the same spatula to pick up rice and veggies that had the raw meat on it! I will stick to the Chantilly location.

Definitely enjoyed myself here. They were open on Easter and I don't have any family out here currently. Food was great staff was very attentive not very many people due to it being Easter but will definitely be coming back

Glad we didn't end up wasting money on an entire meal. We were seated, served the worst miso soup I've ever had (not sure how you screw that up) and a salad that was equally disgusting. And then we just waited and waited. Must have had only one chef and he was busy with the table next to ours. They could have warned us it would be a wait when we have hungry children. We decided to pay for the little bit of food we did eat and drinks and leave to get fast food. Shame because my youngest picked it out and was excited for "the show". Never coming here again.

I enjoyed fresh sushi and sashimi here. They were melting in my mouth. I was told that main chef left though so I am not sure if they are still good.

The worst manager. My family and I came here for dinner. We were the only ones there because it was 4:30. The manager came to seat us and dismissively told us he has no servers and he has no time for jokes. We let that go. Then he took our orders and I said I wanted a steak and chicken. I then specified that I wanted rib eye and chicken, and he sighed so loudly, clearly annoyed. It was as if I had changed an order that was already out. My sister then asked what appetizers they had and he answered her as if she’s the dumbest person on the planet. Mind you, she and I had toddlers with us so we were trying to pacify them and put in orders. This guy was so bad that another family left the restaurant. We wanted to leave as well but we had our toddlers seated so we stayed. The only good thing I can say is that the chef was nice and engaging and the food was not bad. I hope the owner reads this review and checks his manager.

No one answered the phone and went to hopefully be able to wait to have dinner and the door was locked. It had a sign saying reservation only inside? What's up with that? On mothers day?

This Japanese restaurant is so basic. The food was bland; I could have cooked better food at home. I very rarely go out to dinner but I happened to visit this location for a family member's birthday. I'm not a small person, but I do have personal goals I am trying to reach. That being said, I asked for the children's portion of the teriyaki chicken. Rather than accepting my request, I received a comment of "I mean, are you just not that hungry?" to which I kindly responded, "I'm trying to eat smaller portions, thanks." But, that's not where it ended. Apparently, you cannot be allowed to order a child's size portion if you're an adult. That's absurd. I don't want 5 pounds of rice. I only want 1 cup, okay? Rather than question my state of hunger based on my size, kindly inform me that the child size portions are only for children 9 and under. Or, you could put my request in the computer and smile and move on about your night. Heads up!!!! If you're an individual who's looking to enjoy themselves at a restaurant, but also trying to be conscious of portion control, I would strongly advise you avoid this place, or prepare yourself to be thrown off by rudeness. How it ended? I ordered sushi. The end. (Complete BS!) *** I only rated 2 stars because our Chef Peter was entertaining and super friendly. This disaster of a restaurant doesn't deserve the remaining stars due to rudeness. ***

Clean, friendly and quick service. Our small party did hibachi and sushi, both were fantastic. Plates shown are chicken teriyaki, salmon and the other is steak and shrimp :)
