main problem is lights which are of no use. very dim. can not see even with 5 lights on. other problem is bathroom. small partition in shower area which brings most water outside after bath. slope is outwards and not towards drainage.

One of the beautiful hotels I have ever seen.. Really amazing staff so helpful and so understanding really keep it up. The food was delicious too and everything was perfect.

Among the most stunning hotels, I've ever seen in Ladakh. Staff that is friendly, welcoming, and giving. The highest quality materials were used to create the interiors. and have been brought in to create a perfect setting for us  The apartments have a stunning layout with a view of mountains. When it comes to hospitality and management, the quality is excellent. The cooks are all incredibly skilled at what they prepare. Amazing and delectable cuisine. Must go there.

The staff is so cooperative and food was delicious with South Indian breakfast and North Indian dinner. Rooms are spacious and view was amazing.

Went there with family and it was an amazing experience. Such gentle staff and very helpful too. Felt like home really. And most importantly beautiful hotel and delicious food.

I reserved it as a surprise birthday gift for a close buddy. It was amazing. The hospitality staff's assistance was invaluable when it came to putting up the table and adding decorations. I loved it The breakfast buffet at the hotel was excellent. The view from the rooms was the nicest attraction. It's difficult to find anything bad to say about this fantastic hotel. Let's just say that this is one of those hotels that you will really remember to avoid using a bunch of superlatives.

The best hotel!! Location is ideal..not too close to the market and not far as well. Such courteous staff but food doesn't get 50/100. Throughout our stay we loved the hotel but would avoid eating meals in the hotel.

One of the best hotel in Leh, Ladakh. Great decoration with good facilities. The hospitality of all the staffs are remarkable, especially that of the peoples of buffet hall are worth mentioning.

My Husband an I stayed there for 3 days from 3rd June to 5th June, 2023 and after returning from Nubra valley on 8th June, 2023 . Each and every staff (including the restaurant staff) was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay beautiful . We stayed in room no. 516 .The room was clean, very comfortable, moreover , we got the breathtaking view of mighty Karakoram ranges through the window . I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Leh Ladakh.

Clean cozy room with beautiful mountain view! Staff was hospitable and gave good tips on precautions to be taken on day 1 to avoid falling sick. One of the few hotels with a heater in the room, a must have if you're not used to the cold. Would definitely stay here again!

A warm welcome, humble and knowledgeable checkin staff. Very accommodating for our ask on rooms. Kitchen staff specifically R.P. Singh who has been serving there for 20 years was very hospitable. He managed the rest of the staff very well on all the demands coming through from all diversified customers/guests during breakfast and dinner. Seems like this establishment is operating from a very long time and it has a great touch of traditional Ladakh culture in its ambience. Cheers!

We were a family of 4; two adults and two very young kids. We were given the family room. Loved staying in the family room which is quite big and the whole family could stay together. We loved the experience of staying here. The staff has great hospitality. The manager welcomes you personally and explains all the amenities. Another mention worthy thing is that when the owner sensed that our kids had a slight hesitation at the dinner buffet, he voluntarily offered some complementary finger food. Kids were overjoyed!

Beautiful property, stunning view outside the window, the staff was very helpful and polite, food was delicious, safe parking space for your cars and specially for bikes. Very clean and beautifully designed rooms. I strongly recommend Shangrila for your next trip to leh.

I went with my family 8 months back for a vacation and my vacation could hv not fulfilled if I was not staying in this hotel. 100% satisfaction. Management stuff and service were too good. Food was awesome.. fully 😊 happy

It was a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly at check in and even provided me with a UK plug adapter I had forgotten. There is a lot of charm to this hotel and we got a good deal on it. It was such a pleasant experience staying at Hotel Shangrila and made our trip to Ladakh that much more memorable. We even enjoyed a hot soup outside on the balcony despite it being cold. Our meal at the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. A complimentary breakfast was provided to us. Our stay at this hotel was wonderful, and I would highly recommend it.

Such a great place to stay, the food was delicious with a nice variety. The hospitality was so amazing that never let me waited for any help.

Disclaimer: Please hire a bodyguard for your protection! My family and I travelled to ladakh for a trip. Surfing for good hotels we found Shangri-La and booked it for 3 days due to its good rating. The restaurant had pathetic service, waiters wouldn't listen on being called, an order had to be given 5-10 times for being served. So we decided to complaint to the management. On our last day,my brother had been sitting in the restaurant for almost 30mins waiting for the tea to arrive, no waiter was even listening to him all busy talking to each other even though there were only 4-5 people in the restaurant. When my mother complained due to lack of service she recieved threats to get beaten up by the business partner of the hotel- Mr. Salim , my father then stepped in and he recieved the same threat in front of all other customers. On not being given proper service, a mere complaint to the management was enough for the hotel management to threaten to beat us up.

1st of all please don't be confused by the name Shangri-La . It is not the same 5star international chain of Shangri-La hotels. But though hotel category is nice with superb view and close to airport , bus stand and Leh market. Rooms are nice , the mattress is comfy and 9 -12 inch . Tea coffee kettle Washroom is lil outdated as compared to rooms but all the amenities are present like dental kit, shaving kit etc. TV - 32" with Tata sky & HD channels. Food - Very nice but quite limited in variety which can be increased. Food quality is very good and service is quiet up to the mark.

WORTH EVERY PENNY! Everyone you meet at hotel SHANGRILA is extremely humble and always ready to help - which is very much our vibe. Starting from location, activities, premises, staff, food, service - everything is great.

Beautiful reception area is the only good thing. The rooms are in a seriously sad state. It gives exact feel of an old motel/ guest house. The staff is very helpful and humble but not professionally trained, hence needs effort to explain things. The lunch, which we placed order as alacarte was relatively better than the buffet dinner which was terrible.

We had a lovely time in Shangri la. The staff was so cordial, courteous, helpful, polite and friendly. The rooms, bathrooms were nice and hotel is supposed to be going under refurbishment in September which will give a nice uplift to rooms. I really loved their lobby and with thangka art, nice local artefacts. The food was quite nice and staff there served us with love, they also catered to our needs and requirements as & when needed. Its location is another bonus as its just 10 mins away from airport and 5-7 mins away from local market.
