This place used to be good, but has drastically gone downhill. No variation of alcohol in the place, for the past month all draught beers have been non existant and fridges empty. I have no idea how they are still open. There is a clear favouritism when it comes to karaoke nights to people the staff find to be regulars or their friends in which their songs are pushed up the list even when their are 20 submissions, and this happenes every few songs if that. I beleive the owner to be egotistical and only play songs that are deemed to be good to him whist neglecting his own choice to organise artist themed nights by nearly not playing the said artist at all. The place needs a complete revamp or to clean up its act some more.

I have not only seen some amazing acts here but have also been playing live with my own band for well over 10 years here. Brilliant staff, brilliant music and venue. Since the renovation it has got even better. The beer is nice. The selections on offer is great and the music wuality has got even better. Not to mention that the event they have on here are now quality. Best venue in Leicester.

Sorta good but they play the same music every Ambush night and they don't play the suggested songs. 50/50 on people like some are friendly some are douchebags. Few workers there are decent but some will threaten to kick out you over the dumbest reasons or if they just don't like you. Toilets are absolutely dingy. Few good things though is that you can still enjoy yourself and have fun drinks are nice but pricey and they have games in the vault would be better if they had arcade machines like in Firebug, also this place does need a huge renovation though.

The Shed is Leicester's longest-running permanent live music venue. Since its foundation in 1994, it has hosted many of our local bands alongside bands from all over the world. It continues to put on bands from our local area and those from many parts of the UK.

I love live music and like what they are doing giving a platform for new artists.I didn't like the place i found it far to small and cramped. There are so many other larger venues in the city centre that would be more suitable IMO.

Great place! Great people! Great music! There's a smoking area! They do food! Would have given 5 stars but health and safety needs a bit of work. The toilets can often be left a right state and some people in the smoking area can get carried away .. However if they improve on the security downstairs and cleanliness it's the best place to hang out! Sometimes there's even video games!

Great little venue - the sound quality was very good, an intimate setting to watch live music. Beer was also served in real glasses, no plastic nonsense here! Beware the nearby NCP car park charged me 13 fecking quid though to leave the motor for not much more than 2hrs.

Tonight the music seems so loud I wish that we could lose this crowd Maybe it's better this way We'd hurt each other with the things we'd want to say We could have been so good together We could have lived this dance forever But now, who's gonna dance with me? Please stay

Normally I love a Friday night here . Staff are lovely, the decor is great and the smoking area big kiss for that. Saturday DJ was just bad , sorry I've come to live gigs and loved it . Don't know if the guy is on every week Ned ro Nai , his sets were just a bad music shuffle on Spotify . I don't know if it's true but some people were saying prices change on who serves you and how drunk you are . Drunk tax of sorts. We looked at his transactions and even though he was on the same drink the prices were all different. As I said the venue is great , staff amazing , just a few odd things that let the night down.

Went for the England v Iran game, followed by live music. The selection of drinks is good too

The place is nothing special, the cleanliness is fine and limited seating area. However, they have great emo/rock/alternative nights for amazing prices and the bartenders are very friendly and helpful. I always like for an excuse to enjoy linkin park with others and am definitely going regularly

The one way system makes 0 sense and is quite annoying if you just want to pop the smoking area then have to so an entire lap of the venue to get back. On that note, smoking area stinks like sick, the wooden seats are crumbling apart etc. Downstairs, which also stank, there are sofas with literally no covers on, just the bare nasty white insides. However the music was good, fun to have a bop around and there was an alcohol free beer which is also a bonus. Tbh all of my issues could be fixed with some TLC and also not requiring a tour of the venue to find the man sitting on the back stairs to go for a boogie.
