Stayed at this hotel last night it is nothing as described room was basic and extremely dirty. We were kept awake most of the night by the couple in the next room arguing and slamming doors for around 5 hours the couple were not asked to leave they were just left to carry on. We booked a room for 2 the bed was a single with a double mattress on it with 2 pillows and no spares, a towel was left (just 1) the shower and sink were covered in mould and the shower base was covered in hairs from the previous person.

So... I wasnt expecting much for the reasonable price of £44 a night for a double room, however I was hoping for a little better than this. It started well and we were very warmly welcomed by the hotel receptionist. After prompt payment we were given the key to the room and it wasnt great. Random Damage in various locations, bed so broken and noisy and paper thin walls (you can hear next door speaking word for word). Room was dimly lit and cold. (The bed was made I just forgot to take a pic before messing it up). The shower was cold and wouldn't get warm and there were 'marks' on the glass and floor. The whole bathroom had a neglected feel to be honest with a random shower curtain in the middle of the ceiling (see pics) serving no purpose. Overall I wouldn't stay there again but it was cheap and served the purpose we needed it for.

Great staff on reception. That's the good part over. It could be a nice enough hotel but it isn't. Rooms cold as heating is only put on at night. Shower cubicle growing a good crop of black mould. Cold tap broken and leaking, bathroom smells of damp. No hot water for shower in morning but comes on at night. No replacement coffee or tea. No promises WiFi. It goes on. Best still it's on the American Express/Concur website at £50 a night but only £29 on board outside. Only come if you want an experience.

Room was disgusting, dust all in the wardrobe and drawers, no drawer handles just a bit if duct tape. Dirty bathroom. Fire door hinge falling off. Besides that, the member of staff that greeted me was friendly however the staff member on the way out when I told them my company was not happy with the quality of the room didn’t really care. Not recommend.

Stayed for a month, A week into stay the staff moved our stuff out of the room to clean it, When we got back we had stuff missing Including a tablet. All bathroom stuff was gone, Tried for a week to resolve with them just got fobbed off, all I kept hearing was this has never happened before, Basically accused us of lying, I was also one night behind Paying out of 31 nights I had paid for 30 of them, staff very rude about this, unbelievable so we left, Don’t stay here for more than one night as your property is not safe in your room as staff must be stealing..

I've been staying at the Comfort Hotel for a week and a half now with my son & I've seen many positive improvements. Staff are friendly & helpful on approach from the outset & have been willing to listen to any concerns. My room has had a new double mattress, bathroom flooring & sink plug. Our room is a very good size & there is a microwave & fridge for communal use near to reception & a hot evening meal is delivered usually on a Thursday for anyone in need staying at this hotel. The Comfort Hotel is an awesome high ceiling building. As long as the building is maintained & improvements continue at the momentum I've experienced, the venue could be restored to its former glory!

Very disappointed, the pictures look good but the bed was broken and the mattress was old and dirty. The room had a damaged door, the chest of drawers had a handle missing and the TV didn't work. The staff were helpful and said they intend to refurbish all the rooms

For a budget hotel this represented good value for money. I expected a typical run-down ultra-low-budget but we were immediately greeted by a rather grand, mock-ancient reception area. The staff were professional and friendly and the double room that we had for one night were fairly basic but comfortable. Would have no issue staying again even for a few nights.
