Sadly it was just the breakfast that let the stay down, otherwise would of been 5 star for all. Bacon really fatty , sausages under cooked, fried eggs under cooked, hash browns cold and the scrambled eggs looked absolutely disgusting never see scrambled eggs like that before, didn't try them and strangely the mango smelt/tasted of fish? not sure what that was about. So was all good until we headed for what we were looking for, the breakfast.

This hotel is extremely well located in the heart of downtown Leicester. Almost everything of interest is within walking distance. The hotel staff were professional yet friendly. The gym at the hotel is also very nice and I had no issues getting to the equipment I needed. I highly recommend this hotel if you ever need one in Leicester.

Entrance and room were pleasant and efficient. The room was nice, bed comfortable and quite stylish. The aircon was white noise at first but a real annoyance as the night went on. The bathroom was nice but the sink was large and useless as there was no depth or way of holding water in it, as it was designed to not have a plug. Equally, to fill the kettle, you had to use a juice glass as the sink and tap were too shallow. Room service offered, didn’t exist and my wife went down to get a sandwich and fries from a ‘busy’ but surprisingly empty restaurant, which took 45 minutes. If read by hotel management, a refund should happen as, I was asleep by the time the food came. Fur coat and no knickers comes to mind. I don’t run my fingers around units for cleanliness, deliberately, for fear of finding what I’d expect. The joys continued. Almost lukewarm breakfast resulted in me telling staff it wasn’t good enough had the ‘chef’ and he might be, coming out to check the food temperature. A plate came back to me with foods I never had to start with, and some I never like, slightly warmer but still cooked some time ago. How do you get eggs cooked a while ago, still slightly snotty? £13/head! I actually don’t baulk at Wetherspoons breakfast because it’s hot, fresh and exactly what you’d expect and at half this price ish. Attention to detail is very poor and efforts to make amends, just as good. I need to add that with I had to look at 7 chairs to sit on, before finding a clean one, in a breakfast area, with only us in it.

Very hard to find the parking for the hotel so we ended up in another one further away. Road network confusing if you don't know Leicester and signs not helpful either. However hotel nice and friendly and rooms comfy and clean. Very warm in my room on the 8th floor, and I couldn't find any instructions to turn down heating. Nice breakfast the next day

My recent stay at Novotel fell short of expectations. Despite being a frequent guest due to business, this visit was disappointing. The room lacked essential amenities such as a toothbrush, water, and other toiletries, which was unusual. Additionally, the door was difficult to close, the shower door didn't function properly, and the sofa bed was poorly made. As a loyal customer, I hope Novotel takes this feedback seriously to maintain its reputation for excellent service and accommodations.

Stayed here over Christmas and found it to be a very clean and comfortable hotel. Booked the superior standard room. The price was in-keeping with my expectations and although the car park wasn’t on-site, it was only a short walk away and had plenty of spaces available. Love the addition of the meeting room, looked a very relaxed place to spend an hour.

The Novotel Leicester offers a delightful stay that combines comfort, convenience, and a touch of luxury. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere that persisted throughout my entire visit. The rooms were spacious, immaculately clean, and equipped with modern amenities, providing a haven after a day exploring Leicester. The attention to detail in the room's design and the comfortable bedding made it easy to unwind and recharge.

I called in to visit the bar area only, so I can not review the rooms. I couldn't find the car park so had to park at the shopping centre. The interior of the reception, bar and restaurant is really cool and gives a relaxed vibe. I was served at the bar by Greg, who was very welcoming and actually took the time to ask me about my day and chatted with me whilst he carried out his tasks. Lovely place with welcoming staff and a relaxed environment!

Place was very clean, stylish and cosy :) the bed was also super comfortable! I loved that the bathroom had a bath too so I could have a little spa evening for myself :) I also felt very safe during my stay. The lady who served me at the bar was very kind and sweet too! And the lady at the reception was very friendly and welcoming. It was my very first solo trip and it brought a smile to my face I would definitely come here for a little self care break again and hopefully for a little longer! :) thank you so much for your hospitality!

Hotel is in great location in Leicester - very close to the centre of town. Modern, well maintained hotel with friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent and the gym, while small, has lots of equipment.

A beautiful hotel. Effortless check in and check out. Local car park ( clearly signposted Adagio and Novotel car park) is 2 min walk. Lovely clean spacious rooms. Big TV. Fridge. Very quiet. Downstairs is a lovely bar and restaurant. The breakfast is amazing. What a spread! We stayed during the local darts grand prix final. Many of the events organisers, security and even the players stayed here as well. Highly recommend.

The stuff was helpful and nice. Any queries I had, they were ready to tackle the issue. The room was tidy and modern, organised, and everything worked as it was supposed to. During my stay, my room was well looked after. The location is busy, very busy. Some like it, some don't. Personal preference. The food was a bit let down frankly. I was expecting a little bit more choices. The portion was good. The service was good. Just, I believe a hotel like this, with the attributes it possesses, one would expect a wider selection of mains It would've been even better if when someone sat outside the bar just to chill and listen to the sound of the city at night, there were no kids (7-8 years old, without parents) playing and screaming like there was no tomorrow and climbing up to bar balustrade. Seriously, it ruined the experience. But it's not a hotel fault. Overall, I can recommend 👌.

Lovely, clean and modern. The restaurant/bar downstairs is really nice. A few steps away from all the bars, restaurants, cinema and city centre.

Was on route to sussex and this hotel was the half way stop for us lovely hotel looked nice from the offset, check out is 12pm which is great and service and stuff were really nice. Only thing i could say is things like coffee milk and sugar felt like rations could only make 2 drinks. Room itself was super clean and the bonus it had a bath for our toddler. Location is great. Car park needs more sign posting abit better drove round in circles hence the 4* on location

Really good hotel overall. Clean, comfortable and modern with a good breakfast and central location. Small but well enough equipped gym for a 1 night business trip. I had a room facing the road which is a busy junction so was quite loud, something to bear in mind. ÂŁ10 overnight parking rate for a nearby car park as well

We had a lovely stay at the Novotel in Leicester. The hotel staff are very welcoming and attentive, nothing too much trouble and any problems rectified immediately. The lovely waitress at breakfast had a hot plate waiting for my husband every morning as he likes a hot plate and his food piping hot, also offered to microwave for a few seconds if required. We also mentioned to reception that the food wasn’t quite as hot as it might be, the next day it was clear they had made every effort to make sure the food was hotter. We were also a little disappointed with our room as the shower hand set didn’t work properly and just a few minor decor issues but again this was rectified immediately and was moved to an executive room. The hotel is on a very busy road so traffic noise can be a little bit of an issue but ideally located for everything we needed so wouldn’t let that put us off for next time. We will be frequent visitors to Leicester as our daughter is doing her degree in Leicester so have already booked for December but will ask for a quiet room if possible. Really lovely hotel, very relaxing and a lovely pot of tea. Rooms, bar area and restaurant are all lovely.

Went to a business meeting here on Monday! Really impressed by the super modern dĂŠcor. The coffee and snacks were spot on and the service was excellent! I'm definitely going back. Plenty more to enjoy!

Friendly and very comfortable. Large rooms, comfy beds, a gym and good location. Price seemed very reasonable. Amit and Francesca (and all other ladies I spoke to) were very welcoming and helpful on the front desk too.

Stunning and well located hotel. Room and hotel felt luxurious, the breakfast options were outstanding. Parking was a bit confusing to find, but the signage was frequent to help you. Staff were good.

Nice decor and lovely staff, breakfast was good and worth the money. Perfectly situated for the city centre. Bar was nice. Parking £10 a night a short 1 minute walk away. Beds pretty comfortable but Pillows too small and not very comfortable, room was nice enough with goods views of the city. Problem I found with the hotel was the water pressure in the shower was near non existent, for a 4 star a powerful shower after a long journey is a must for me it’s the reason I’ll pay more for a hotel but it simply was not enough water pressure. Also the AirCon/Heating unit would not switch off.

We met up with two sets of friends Friday 5th May and stayed until Sunday. The hotel is immaculate with an impressive and welcoming foyer. The staff are friendly and so very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The bedrooms are clean and spacious with a lovely big comfy bed and a huge television. Breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from. We really enjoyed our stay and hope we can return sometime soon.

Nice modern hotel in the heart of the city. Parking is available, albeit not on site but only a short walk to reception. Service was slow at times when bar staff were making cocktails but friendly enough when they were serving you.

Elegant decor, comfortable bed, helpful staff member on informally-styled desk. Breakfast selection good, although would prefer to be served coffee, rather than using machine. No written guidance on room facilities, so had to guess number for reception on whether I could turn down lively fan (aircon controls have obscure symbols, discovered it's only one speed), and only found on departure that uplighter also has additional power to boost otherwise subdued lighting.

Great location, great quality. Espresso maker in the room is a fantastic touch. The staff were incredibly polite and attentive. I would seek out this hotel and grade of room if I were staying in other cities and a similar price.

Visited at Christmas 2022, rooms are a good size, clean and well equip. Centrally located is excellent for shopping and a visiting the local bars. Parking is a available a short distance away at ÂŁ10 per night. Strangely bar was closed at 23:30 for residents and only room service available, not really good enough for a hotel of this standard. Health and safety is a major issue though. Previous guests had taped over the fire alarm. Reported this to house keeping and it has not been resolved.

Very nice hotel, with enthusiastic, service focused staff. Rooms clean and comfortable. However, we had searched out a Novotel after a previously stay at the Novotel in Leeds, because that one had a never-seen-before automatic pancake maker which made my son's stay. Sadly this one doesn't, though hopefully they will get one in future!

Clean room although slightly small especially when booking for 2 adults and 2 children aged 10 & 11. Friendly staff. Good facilities, including the safe and the fridge (which seemed a bonus). Bed was a decent size, standard double. Fairly decent view out the window towards the city. Close proximity to the city centre and very nice reception area. Main issue was that the room was not ready prior to our arrival despite mentioning when booking our arrival time of 9.00pm and us reaching there slightly later. We should have really been told to wait in the reception, whilst it was being prepared if delayed. However, instead of that, we were told to go up where we would be met by a colleague at the room. We didn't think we'd be met by a colleague who was still preparing the sofa bed, and then had to leave the room twice to get 2 duvets and prepare them in the room whilst me, my wife and kids were sat waiting for this to be done after a long day's trip. Although, they wouldn't be to know this, you cant be setting the room up with the clients sat in the room. Knowing there's children on the booking and its 9pm arrival time given, you'd think the room would have been prepared. Seeing the review below of the lady below (Hope J Allen) whose room was also not ready and was given a free upgrade and not charged for parking is quite disappointing, considering we weren't offered anything. (Can understand why she gave 5*, as that's full on good customer service for what she was offered) Also, there was only ONE proper light in the room at the entrance. And that's not 1 working light, there was only 1 light fitted in the room. Although, there were side lamps and a floor lamp, but just 1 light in the room makes it very dim. All plugs & ports switch off when you turn off the light switch, so you can't charge your devices, unless you use the plug for the floor lamp. The fancy bathroom door, which was actually very nice, did not have a proper door stop trim, but instead 2 floor door stops, which meant anyone walking passed the bathroom could see inside, which isn't ideal when you're with family, you lose that sense of privacy. So we had to put a bath sheet hanging over the door, to cover the edge. Overall: for a single/couple, the rooms are a good size, most importantly clean. I can recommend staying here and would consider staying again. Wish I had known about the larger rooms/connecting rooms, it would've suited better with family. I would've given 4/5 stars, had the room of been ready and discarded the other things.
