good item availability however i got to the checkouts at 9.45am and i got told to wait until 10am because that's when the service starts. i have never seen this kind of policy anywhere else before as there was a full staff ready to work but they preferred to sit on their chairs while i just stand there with my items. they served me at 10am and preferred to build a queue of clearly frustrated customers when they could've simple avoided it.

Sainsburys! Not my normal Supermarket due to location, but excellent. Parking is ample, spacious and well marked out. In-store, aisles are wide and generally well stocked, but the best bit is the staff. Always helpful and courteous.... and that includes the Security Team! Prices are fair. Coffee shop is light and airy, coffee is good and staff friendly and efficient!

Sainsbury's is a lovely supermarket for all your day to day needs. you get a variety of food and non food stuff for all your cooking needs. Love the bakery there. Good aisle space. Everything is perfect, somehow I did not like the clothing collection. Maybe it doesn't fit into my choice, however it is a good place for all your grocery needs

The supermarket has pretty much everything you need and is really well layed out. The store is always clean and staff are happy to help. There are lots of self checkout stations if you have a few items and plenty of tills if you prefer to be served by a member of staff. The car park is huge with lots of spaces also has disabled spots and spots if you have a pram.

First time I've visited this store. It was the lead up to Christmas so I'll make some allowances but it was a very'meh' experience. Too much fresh produce, veg in particular, was poor quality and close to sell by dates. In fact I ended up visiting a smaller Sainsburys store a few miles away and the produce was much better. The Thurmaston store is very big but didn't really seem to offer any advantages over smaller branches. Checkout queues were a nightmare too.

Came to collect an item from Argos and bought a few groceries whilst I was here. The car park is large and well.lit which makes a change from the car park at Asda which is pitch black! The range of stock was very good and the staff were polite and helpful. Also the queues at the checkouts were not too long

HUGE shop. I called in for a drink while travelling and found the sheer scale of this place bewildering. Nothing was where I thought it would be, but Sainsbury’s doesn’t appear to have a standard layout. I’ve rated this place three stars because I had to wait a good long time to get my age verified at the self checkout. If you you’re hoping to pop in quickly this is not the shop for you.

Very good superstore. Quality good and varied. Better selection than some. AND I DON'T HAVE TO PUT A POUND IN FOR THE TROLLEY.

Usually go there to collect orders from Argos. I t has all the household things from kitchen to fruit , bakery, clothing etc. It's not usually busy during morning around 10am which I have noticed however they have plenty of staff to help out. It has a large free customer parking which is great and can always find parking even at busy times. Keeping the covin 19 guidelines they have sanitiser, and cleaning liquid for the trolley at the entrance and yes they do count the number of people inside the store due to Covid 19 guidelines. If you are going to use Argos click and collect service I would suggest to go early when the store open around 8am otherwise you most likely to find yourself standing in the long queue. Overall I have great experience visiting the store.

Good quality clothes and shoes at sainsburys. Very underrated. Returned some items and it was very quick and easy. Good amount of parking and interesting check out system. You have to show your receipt before leaving. Not sure if this is new or permanent.

Great selection of gluten-free produce and well-signed and described. The checkout staff were simply amazing. The most helpful I’ve ever experienced.

Don't shop there often, but was quite impressed. Lots of stuff you wouldn't find elsewhere. And free EV chargers too. Got 20 free miles whilst shopping.

Visited the Sainsburys cafe and had a lovely experience regarding the food and service. I was served by a young lady named Aisha, who was polite and professional. She dealt with an annoying customer in front of me a hell of a lot more gracefully than I would've had I been in her position, but she didn't let that altercation affect her. The food was lovely and I had a nice experience. I'd definitely recommend to others.

Really like this Sainsbury’s. It has a fantastic selection and always plenty of stock. Parking is easy and plentiful, and the shop has a very clean and airy feel about it. The cafe food selection is quite good, though the staff are highly trained in inefficient operational readiness. There is always a long line at the cafe, always limited staff, and the staff appear to not understand the concept of multitasking or thinking quickly. Food can take upwards of 20+ minutes once ordered.

Very good location and quite spacious. Lots of parking with car wash and petrol pump. All and all considered as full package.

Clean and fully stocked, cheerful and polite staff. I shop in store because their delivery policy is ridiculous all slots are £7 unless you spend £40 and as a person on a small budget that is impossible for me so heavy/large items which I order from other online shops I can not order unless I spend way over my budget.

I mainly come here for petrol as the forecourt is big bright and spacious. The third lane is a great idea no more waiting for drivers to move. I also come here to collect my online shopping. Collecting the shopping is straight foreword, tho if more than one turned up I am unsure where to wait, as there is no clear instructions.

Excellent facilities, good parking wide Isles. Always have a good selection of brands. TU clothing is good quality. I would have given 5☆ except there is never no more than 4 checkouts open.. its sad to say if your disabled and can't stand for long it's appalling , but for a store of this size ???

Big carpark with lots of disabled and parent and children bays and a large petrol station. Fully wheelchair accessible, clean, and tidy. Fresh products are usually well stocked and look fresh. Good amount of products. Large clothing section for women, men and children. Large household section and stationery. Also an argos in store. My new weekly shopping spot !

Went in store used the disabled parking bays. Also used disabled toilet facilities. OK standard of cleanliness. Got a few bits I needed included some of their own brand cat food, which my cats quite liked and they are fussy eaters. Self checkouts were easy to use. Then went for petrol which is one of the cheapest at the moment so I don't mind filling up there. There was a bit of a queue but it wad peak time.

Very spacious store with good layout. The fruit at Sainsbury's have always been a bit iffy in my opinion. Bought a punnet of strawberries with 2 days to go on sell by date, only to discard most of them for being grossly overripe, unedible. Disappointing. !!

Absolutely disgraceful yesterday around 19.15 pm. Car park so icy, and no sand thrown. The Desert counter was shambolic. Cheese cake from £3.50 was down to £1.50. Crumbled when opened. Somebody needs to be accountable.

Given up here - gets worse week after week, hardly any thing in stock and replacements are over priced, is there a shortage of small trolleys - no staff are running round with them like headless chickens, an absolute nightmare shopping here. Much better experience at Asda up the road.

Cafe struggling week after week, not just a one off. Running out of food items, despite being in a shop that sells them. Only alternative is 4 rashers of bacon. Can't swap the missing sausage for a vegetarian one or an egg...not allowed. Extra salty bacon is their only option. Happened twice as well as no mushrooms, no tomato. Toast buttered by them, arrives cold and soggy. Self buttered at extra cost. Scrambled egg arrives like a chopped up omelette. No cutlery on several occasions, chipped cup, tables not cleaned. Hope they can get a grip and sort things.

Lots of variety, clean store and the added bonus of an Argos in store. Not much you can't get here. Lots of parking so that isn't an issue

😠 Supermarkets have a funny way of doing things... hope the shared pics help educate and inspire people to shop consciously and not just grab what they see because they "think" it's a great offer! 😠 I didn’t even want to give one star but had no choice I think this company is by far the worst I have experienced.
