We moved to lemont in September & this has been one of our favorite spots since. Such friendly staff, the cocktails are AMAZING, and we love the different fun pizzas! We often get the jalapeño roulette too because it’s a fun and tasty appetizer. We ordered pizza for delivery a few weeks ago & it was outstanding. They give you a mini pizza cuter & instructions on how to re-heat it in case it got cold. Such nice presentation. Of course we prefer being at the restaurant to have it fresh, but for a night-in this was great. See you soon Woodle Paddle 😋

Wooden Paddle was one of my favorite choices we made for our wedding! They were amazing from start to finish. Celina was responsive and easy to work with - no matter how many questions we had. They even made a custom drink to put on our cocktail menu after we told the bartender at our tasting about our favorite drink that was meaningful to us. Guests were raving about how delicious the food was, and I couldn’t have been happier. If you are looking for a unique, reasonable catering experience, Wooden Paddle is the one!

Hiring Wooden Paddle for our wedding reception was the best decision EVER! Pizza is our favorite food so having it for the biggest dinner we will ever host was a no brainer. The staff was so attentive to us, and our guests and the food was so delicious. They also created the grazing table of my dreams. We had a tasting with them and got to try everything they offered so we could make an informed choice. I only wish I could have chosen everything on the menu. They also were great when it came to the dietary needs of our guests! They have something for everyone. I could not have asked for a better wedding caterer and experience. If you're considering Wooden Paddle for your wedding do not hesitate BOOK THEM!

First time eating here, had a really great experience! I definitely want to come back and order other things on the menu. I ordered the Rocketman pizza it was very delicious, just a little bit burned on the back, but overall really good. Really cute atmosphere and the staff are also very nice :)

The interesting thing about doing these reviews is that is that I’ll get way more review views on my Google Maps vs Yelp. My Yelp reviews just get pushed down more whereas my Google will stay towards the top. With that said, I’m sure my loyal followers/readers will find this particular information useful. Before going to Wooden Paddle, make sure you sign up for their Pie Society. They only ask you a few questions. No biggie. Once you get to the end, they’ll send you some offers to use while you’re in store. These offers are for free pizza, pasta, snack, or dessert. Yes you read that right. You can only use one per visit, one per table, and it’s dine-in only. Just a quick FYI, the executive chef Patrick Cassata was on Hell’s Kitchen. I believe it was season 10. Parking is tricky. However, if you go on a weeknight then you should be able to find some street parking as well as the free parking lot that’s like a block away. It’s like a 2-3 min walk. We didn’t need a reservation since we went on a Wed night close to 8 pm. The interior was trendy and stylish, even the bathrooms were colorful. Service was great. We ordered squash ricotta toast, duck around and find out pizza, smoke + ‘shrooms pizza, and ooey gooey butter cake. I would come back. I didn’t have any burnt pizzas, cold food items, etc. Overall my experience was 4.5 but I’ll round it to 5 on the scale. -squash ricotta toast 4 - the size was bigger than I thought, that’s a good thing. Toast was soft and crispy. The butternut squash I wanted it to have a more prominent taste than subtle. I definitely tasted the herbed ricotta. -duck around and find out pizza 5 - I love duck. I was surprised to see this on a pizza. It worked well. Duck was very tender and not dry. Along with the sauce, cheese, and caramelized onions, it was a fantastic combo. -smoke + ‘shrooms pizza 5 - you can’t miss the truffle smell. The cheese, thyme, mushrooms, and black truffle purée made the pizza super flavorsome and mouth watering. I would easily order this again. -ooey gooey butter cake 5 - very good dessert. It was my first time eating something like this. It wasn’t too sweet or too sour. It was a good harmony.

Wooden Paddle is a very quaint and pleasant atmospheric place... Like home! The Chef is well if you watched a certain food show, you have seen him he is also I nice guy! The food is absolutely amazing!! If you ever need a caterer please go here and see Nicole, she is the best!!!

Great lively place. We had reservations which was a great idea for a Friday or Saturday night. The seating is cozy, we really liked our spot right by the window. You can also dine at the counter too and can watch all the action going on by the pizza oven. We tried the shrimp pops, arancini, pork chop, pasta bolognese. Everything was delicious and prices are reasonable. Dessert was flourless chocolate cake and cake pops... so good! We'll definitely be back to try more of the pizza as well. Highly recommend!

Wonderful afternoon! The craft cocktails are incredible. The food was so decadent, I almost shed a tear! Service was so personable, and we felt right at home. You must try the mushroom pasta - the mushrooms are sourced right in Lemont!!! You can also get pizza dough to go and make your own!!! I will return!

This place genuinely exceeded my expectations. Please give this place a try if you haven't yet! Support local business... encourage our few, courageous and local creative friends to continue building new concepts. The pizza crust is excellent with the perfect amount of chewiness with a crispy exterior. The toppings are creative but I did find some of the offerings to lean a bit too far towards the sweet side. The squash and ricotta toast was also nice. The squash was excellently prepared and very creamy. A minor note- I would have preferred the toast to be a little thinner and toasted a bit more to enhance the textural experience. Recognizing that the menu has recently been updated I am sure things are still getting dialed in. Service was also good, although it was obvious to me that the team was still getting used to the menu edits mentioned above. I'm happy to say that I'll keep this place on my short-list for date nights and small groups.

Terrific service and a wonderful selection of freshly-crafted wood-fired pizzas, appetizers, and cocktails (and the draft beer list is well curated). Every one of the pies looked tasty, but definitely try the meatballs - the red sauce is terrific.

Came here for dinner with friends. The ricotta and honey comb is amazing. The cucumber drink is also really good. The pizza is good, but a little soggy. I like a firmer crust. However, I think you should give this place a shot regardless bc the flavors were there.

If you love good food that your guests will rave about, book Wooden Paddle for your wedding or event. Everyone was so friendly and amazing to work with, from beginning to end. I highly recommend doing a tasting, you’ll be blown away by all the amazing food and the restaurant is adorable! At the wedding, everyone from Wooden Paddle was incredible. All of our guests with dietary restrictions received the correct food and everyone was treated with such kindness. I was even able to eat and I’m so glad I made that a priority. Also our guests were able to take home boxes of pizza at the end of the night which was a highlight. I can’t say enough amazing things about Wooden Paddle, and I can’t wait to visit the restaurant again soon!

I not sure what I was expecting eating here but whatever it was, it was surpassed. The toppings were very plentiful and tasty. I loved the crumbled sausage. The outer crust was perfect. A little crisp and sooo soft inside. The only thing I would get done differently is maybe a few more minutes in the oven to crisp up the bottom a bit. Had a gooey butter cake for dessert. Wow it was good. I’ll eat here again.

Went for a quick dinner! Was thrilled to see such a selection. Everything was delectable! The shrimp pops where too good. I will have to be back for more! The drinks were really good as well!

Stop looking and book Wooden Paddle - SERIOUSLY. This was such a unique way to serve food at our wedding and they did it flawlessly. We got married in May and people continue to mention to us how much they loved the food. My mom overheard guests that she didn't know talk about how delicious the food was! I am some what glad I don't live that close to Lemont or else I would be there every weekend. Their food was everything that we wanted in our wedding, unique, delicious, and fresh. How many weddings do you go to where you see people actually making pizza from scratch?! Not to mention that the staff was incredible, and really were very attentive to us. You will NOT be disappointed. The only regret I have at my wedding is that I didn't eat more, but I didn't realize how hard it would be to eat with a lot of stress in a day plus a skin tight dress, but man, was their pizza amazing. We did not need bar service from them but we had some drinks at their tasting and dang were they good!! Seriously - of all the things people remember at a wedding, the food is one of them. Have it be memorable (in a good way) and hire Wooden Paddle!!!

My family and I enjoyed lunch here yesterday. The food was amazing, we had pizzas. The drinks were so fun and yummy. The service was perfect and not to mention it is such a cute / welcoming environment. Can’t wait to come back

Can’t say enough about this place: • Food - we ordered the skirt steak and pretty fly pizza which were both prepared perfectly! • Staff - the staff was attentive and friendly! They were even hosting a party for foster youth which was admirable. Highly recommend! Oh yeah…the drinks were excellent as well.

The menu is very unique and their use of real all natural ingredients with no seed oils or bulls#!t is noble. Atmosphere is very cozy, service was hands down the best I’ve had all year! Thank you!

We used the Wooden Paddle for our wedding and they were the best!! When touring venues, Wooden Paddle popped up as a caterer and we immediately were interested. The pizza is SO good. It's fresh, the combos are incredible and we immediately booked them that evening. Working with the team was a breeze. Joelle and Miriam were easy and fun to work with. They accommodated all dietary preferences and made us feel at ease leading up to our wedding. The day of the wedding, people were RAVING about the food. We had a charcuterie platter, bite size toasts, Caprese pops and steak bites. The pizza was incredible and possibly the highlight of my wedding. The staff was fast and quick. Truly did not need to worry about a single thing with the Wooden Paddle on our team.

Went here for lunch on a Saturday. It wasn't too busy surprisingly. The waitress was very nice. We sat outside at a table with an umbrella which made it enjoyable to be outside. It was a little windy today so that made it a little chilly and stuff. A couple questions I had answered by my waitress were: The bacon toppings is in little strips and not in bits. Also the sausage is in tiny bits not in bigger pieces. You can ask for a half and half pizza but only if it's not super complicated to make. My recommendation for an appetizer is the rocatta and honeycomb. Also their menu is supposed to change every so often, so they might not have the same stuff in the future. It is definitely worth trying out! Especially if you're visiting Lemont! For 1 appetizer, 2 pizza, and tip it was roughly 60 dollars. There were three of us, and we had a little bit of left overs.

Where do I begin with wooden paddle!! As a bride that is allergic to wheat, I just assumed my wedding dinner would be some prepackaged udi's meal- and boy was I wrong. Not only does wooden paddle have the best pizza, but they also have an amazing gluten free crust, AND dairy free cheese. There were options for all of our guests, diet restrictions or not. Every single guest came up to us during the reception to say that our wedding had the best food out of any other wedding they had been to, and pretty much all of them went home with a box of pizza as well! The wooden paddle staff was personable, professional, and always there to answer questions. Highly recommend if you want delicious food and amazing service.

The environment was very warm and elegant. As an over the road trucker, we don't get the opportunity to eat at many places. We were able to bobtail and park down the street to pick up our order. It was delicious, but I do wish the crust was not soggy. We will definitely be back when we are in the area.

My family and I came for Father’s Day and we really enjoyed the different appetizers and pizzas. MY personal favorite was the fried meatballs. Our waitress Nicole was very patient and professional. We decided to eat outside and our experience was just as great! We will be back soon!

Food was amazing, the bartender Serena (apologies if I misspelled) made the absolute best drinks my wife and I have ever had, WOW!! JENA, our server was great, early on it was tough, hostess sat us down then we waited nearly 30 minutes before a server came to us, luckily Jena who just started her shift came to the rescue, we explained to her what happened and she was super apologetic. She eventually told us that our meal would be comped, they didn't have to that but they did and even though, Jena was still unbelievably great and attentive. We wound up tipping what our meal would have been, highly recommended and definitely going back

Finally made it here! Wooden Paddle is a popular place in downtown Lemont with good reason! Pizza is creative and consistently delicious (Buzzkill was perfection!) along with a classy yet casual environment. Being able to grab a coffee on the way out was icing on the cake! We’ve also heard many compliments regarding their cocktail program. If you haven’t been, you should!

We had a wonderful lunch here. The restaurant was not busy on a Friday early afternoon, so we got our choice of seats. The pizzas are delicious, and we also ordered the burrata toasts. This fed four adults, plus we had three slices of pizza leftover. We are excited to return and try more from their menu!

Wooden Paddle was amazing for our big day! The food is the one thing our guests still talk about to this day! Wood fired pizza was such a unique choice that everyone loved! Celina and Jonathan are such great people who make sure everything goes perfectly for your big day. Being able to go and try all their delicious food beforehand was great, they even let us come back for a second tasting since they added more to their menu since the first time we had a tasting! I couldn’t say enough great things about the food or their team! If you’re debating on booking Wooden Paddle, don’t! There’s no debate, book them and you’ll be so happy you did!

Our entire family loves this place. It is not the traditional pizza you expect if you are from Chicago. They make artisan pizzis with unique ingredients. Every single thing on the menu is exceptional. Every detail from the quality of the food, to the staff, to the design of the interior tells you that this is a well run business and that they want you to enjoy your experience. Our family eats there often and will continue to do so!

Honestly impressed with this paddle. Took the in-laws here for lunch and had a nice meal for four with just two pizza’s and burrata toast. Everyone was stuffed! Waiter was amazing and food came fast. Only thing, wish there would be a pitcher of water instead of waiting for the waiter to come around.

Just discovered this gem. Wonderful place for really great hand made pizzas and other Italian appetizers and sides. Great atmosphere with lots of tables and some with benches. Cool to see the pizzas being made in the oven too!

We drove up to Lemont for dinner on a Friday night to try out Wooden Paddle! We asked for outdoor seating and they were able to accommodate. First we got a couple of cocktails. I got the mojito which was really refreshing. My husband got a peach whiskey drink. For pizza, we got the margherita and buzzkill. I unexpectedly liked thr buzzkill more. Didn't think honey and pepperoni would be a great combo. Service was overall passable but I do think we could have had more attention. They place was rather busy but there was a few times where my water was pretty low. Also felt like the table next to us had more attention than ours. Food did come put fast but we also got a dessert pizza which took longer than I expected. Overall good experience, good food, good location and will still come back.
