Although our tour started a bit late due to the traffic jams, Nick and Michelle made sure that all the contents of the tour were covered and all of us had a great time. They organized the tour well, you have free time, lunch break and toilet break, all arranged reasonably. Nick and Michelle were quite informative and enthusiastic, they gave us detailed descriptions about the history of the castles. The castles were extremely magnificent and glorious on the outside, but the inside was not that surprisingly good, the tour inside was very quick, only about 30 min, and taking photos is strictly prohibited inside the castle. All in all, this is a great tour, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to you !

I took both a bike tour and a tour to Neuschwanstein Castle. The bike tour took you through the city and the English gardens. I've never ridden a bike in the city before, but our guide was excellent and kept a close eye on us. If we got lost, she would come back and get us. She gave excellent information on our tour and made it fun. The castle tour was great. The tour guide struggled to keep the group together, so be sure to pay attention to the meeting times and places. I would pay to ride the bus if I had to do it again instead of hiking all up hill along the trail to get to the castle. The castle itself it interesting and was incomplete due to an untimely death. The tickets are timed to enter the castle, so don't miss the deadline for it. I wish we would have had more time at the castle as it felt a little rushed. Definitely check out any of Radius tours. I wish I had time to do more of their tours.

Michelle and Charlie really brought the history alive in this tour! From the moment you step onto the tour bus to the moment you step off, they are engaging your imagination and piquing your interest in all the history that surrounds this castle. Michelle is very knowledgable about the minute details of the era, and Charlie has a sense of humor and accents that we will be talking about for a while! :) The tour is very well paced and the day trip flew by. There was time to eat and options to be active by walking up the hill to the castle or relax in a horse-drawn carriage to get to the castle from the town. I've been on tours in over 30 countries and this is easily in my Top 3. A must-do trip in itself, but definitely enhanced by using Radius Tours. :)

Came to Munich on vacation and to learn a bit of their history. I signed up for both the Dachau tour with Jake and the 3rd Reich tour with Josh. These men are scholars and educators of history with very different backgrounds which added to the experience immensely. Their passion for history to ensure we do not repeat our mistakes of the past is commendable. I wish the leaders of my country took history lessons from these men in 2016 before we fell for the same kind of evil narcissist. Thank you gentlemen for a memorable day. My new found respect for Munich and it’s people from it’s lessons learnt will stay with me always!

We did the guided beer tour through Munich. What can I say. We were kindly recieved at the Radius office. Our tour guide Dani was really likeable. She created a really fun evening for us. The tour was so interesting, the beer and food was amazing, so were the locations we visited. Nothing about this experience was short of a blast, credit to our tour guide. The maximum of stars I can give is five, so five it is. Already recommended the tour to a friend and I'm likely to return at some point in the future. Thank you for the service, especially to Dani :D

We had a fabulous trip from Munich to Salzburg and an even better tour guide. Mat was funny, knowledgeable and easy to talk to you. He seems to really love what he does. The 3 hour "break" was also nice when we could go off and enjoy some sights on our own. Highly recommend!

Aileen led a city walking tour for us in the morning and educated us about our surroundings. She accommodated for our groups needs with ease and has a great personality! Later in the day, Dani took us on a beer and food tour in downtown Munich. We sampled plenty of what this city has to offer. Dani has an exceptional personality and is very knowledgeable about beer and the city she resides. We enjoyed our day with Radius Tours!

Very professional tour from start to finish! Our tour guide, Tomas made the tour what it was. His enthusiasm for history and the love of his job is obvious. We learned so much, not only about Castle Neuschwanstein and King Ludwig II, but about German Romanticism and the attitudes of the time. The private coach was very comfortable and much appreciated after all the walking we did to climb up to the Castle! The Castle itself was stunning. Tomas also told us where to find little extras we would not have otherwise known about, like the crystal clear lake to dip our toes into and the beautiful view from the bridge over the waterfall and where to get the best photos. Highly recommended!

Would like to say a big Thanks to both tour guides. The bus trip was an excellent journey with an explanation along the way. We had a bathroom break on the way as it's a long journey. The big bus was comfortable. The tour guides Hose and Jeff were extremely helpful. One of the tour guides even helped us with arranging the castle ticket as we missed our time entrance. But he was super helpful and patient with us. Thanks. Definitely highly recommend them.the castle was spectacular and the mountains and the lake...... Just a wonderful experience not to miss.

Our tour guide was Michele. She was amazing. The tour by itself is amazing but Michele made sure that we were able to see and do everything we wanted to do- my son and I wanted to hike the trail to the bridge. She accommodated everyone and kept us all on schedule so that we could get the full experience. I highly recommend her for an English speaking guide. The bus ride was so relaxed. Overall, great group to go with. Give yourself plenty of time in the morning to find the meeting spot.

The Third Reich tour with Josh was excellent! I would recommend it to anyone that would like to know more about the city of Munich and some of its more recent history in the 20th century. Josh was very knowledgeable and passionate about sharing this history!

I just went on the Neuschweinstein tour with them and I am super satisfied! Really professionals and prepared tour guides, I must say the tour with Michelle went great, she is so well prepared, knows a lot of things about the history of the castle and the monarchy, very clear explaining and available for any further questions or info. Speaking of the tour generally we had enough time to see and visit everything on the castle grounds, defintetely not a rushed tour and full of curious historic insights. Would defintetely come back and recommend!

We did the Dachau tour which was incredible and informative. It’s tough to imagine what happen. Thank you to Nic who was an excellent tour guide and kept us informed. We also did the 3rd Reich walking tour with Josh. What and amazing way to see the city. We couldn’t have appreciated Josh’s knowledge and passion about the subject. I learned so much from him that we haven't before. Highly recommend both tours and both tour guides!

We booked a Beer and Food tour for 3.5 hours. We visited 3 bars including one off the beaten track where locals go and have been going for generations! It was awesome being able to try the most popular beers in Munich. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. We bought our two children with us and they were well taken care of, a steady flow of apple juice or anything they wanted to be honest! Lots of toilet stops at each establishment and so much food to eat, so come with an empty stomach! Our tour had 20 people on it, which was standard. Everyone was lovely, respectful and well behaved. Ages ranged from 9 years to 80 years old. So a very family friendly tour to be on!

This is the best way to get your feet wet and experience the town! My family did this tour when we first arrived to Munich so we could get the lay of the land and it truly gave us a great insight to the areas we wanted to go back as well as the layers of history in this wonderful city. Dani was an exceptional tour guide and you can feel her love and pride for the community that she lives in. We had a fantastic experience and highly recommend this tour. It is also one of the best ways to experience the English Gardens to appreciate its size and diversity. Thank you Dani!! With all of your education and recommendations, we truly had an amazing time in Munich!

Well organised and great tour guides. I did two tours while in Munich. A trip to the Neuschwanstein Castle and then to Dachau Camp. Sean and Carlotta were brilliant; great with detailed knowledge and ongoing recommendations. They were both friendly, approachable and answered all questions. Could not have asked for more.

Curt was a great tour guide! Dachau was incredibly sobering and powerful, and Curt was so knowledgeable. Highly recommend! We also did the Third Reich Tour with Josh, and it was equally as powerful! There was an extremely rude guest on our tour that was hoping for a “pro-Hitler” slant, and Josh handled it very professionally. He had such an interesting perspective, and we were lucky to have him as a tour guide!

We took a tour of Dachau with Scott. This is a sobering experience; however, it is a "must see" while in Munich. Radius was easy to work with and provided a very memorable experience for my family. I would highly recommend Scott as a guide--your experience will be much better than if you try to guide yourself. Scott is very knowledgeable, provided an engaging tour, and was able to answer our questions.

My wife and I had a few days in Munich to see a concert but also to have a look round as it was our first time. Well....I can tell you Munchen is a fabulous place to visit and we would not hesitate to spend more time there as soon as we can. We did our own thing most of the time but the highlight has to have been our guided tour by Radius. We covered large areas of the centre and throughout we were given really interesting facts about each and every building we saw and we had a few laughs as well. Will our next visit to Munich include another Radius Tour.......you can bet on it ! :)

We enjoyed our tour to Neuschwanstein Castle very much. Our tour guide went above and beyond. The ride to the castle was very nice. Once we got there, we had some free time to visit some local stores. Our guide gave us 2 different options to climb to the castle. We chose to follow him on a hike that showed us beautiful views of the water ways, falls and the bridge. We enjoyed the visit to the castle itself a lot. ON our way down we got to buy (at the guide's suggestion), some Bavarian donuts that were DELICIOUS!

Joined the 10 hours tour to Neuschwanstein Castle from Munich in late October. The castle itself is magnificent, has its uniqueness in fall color, absolutely worth to visit, but in my opinion, our tour guide Thomas added more value to this tour. He took very good care of everybody, he made this tour not only entertaining by acting Wagner's works related to those romantic paintings inside the castle, but also very thoughtful by sharing his knowledge and insights on King Ludwig II and his days.

The Neuschwanstein Castle tour was very interesting and the tour guides provided useful information before and after. I would have liked an extra hour to be able to visit the older Hohenschwangau castle as the time was limited to 9 hours and not 10 as advertised. To have 1/2 hour toilet break on the way was a waste of time as people should go before the tour. There is so much to see once you get there. But all in all we had a great day.

A visit to Neuschwanstein Castle. What a great day. Charlie and Nick made it all the more special with good humour, excellent organization and entertaining stories of the history surrounding the people and the castle. The views of Neuschwanstein Castle would be worth the day with no commentary, but our hosts made the 9 hours pass happily and all too quickly.

This was our first time visiting Munich and Oktoberfest. We decided to use a tour rather than try on our own. This turned out to be a great idea. We would have been lost otherwise. Radius tours had a table reserved for us in the best tent, Hofbrauhaus. The guide Michelle was perfect in taking us on a tour of the grounds, then seating us in our tent for dinner and beer. We also made many new friends in this group. It happened to be my daughter's birthday and it couldn't have gone better. What a special tour this was. Don't go it alone on your first Oktoberfest.

Wonderful tour. Guide was knowledgeable and gave us lots of inside tips to make the most of our day. Only thing I'd suggest is to offer an official lunch time as there wasn't much time to get anything to eat beyond grab and go items.

We had an amazing time on our tour of Salzburg from Munich with Maxine. She was extremely informative, enthusiastic with a good sense of humour and made the tour especially enjoyable. She even had the forethought to prebook tables for the group if they wanted to eat at the world’s oldest restaurant that was cut into the side of a rock cliff face. An opportunity that we were extremely grateful for. We learnt lots about the history of Salzburg and saw many interesting things such as Mozart’s birth house and the beautiful Mirabell Gardens that featured in The Sound of Music. Definitely one of the best if not The Best tours we’ve been on.

I booked the Neuschwanstein castle tour and it was totally worth it. Lana our guide was so happy to give us information about the King's life it was very interesting, there is a lake at the very beginning (so pretty with autumn leaves) and then the castle is majestic, inside is also very pretty but quite small since they never got the chance to finish it, I highly recommand the tour !

Great tour of Neuschwanstein and the nearby countryside. Thomas was a great guide, both on the bus ride and at the destination. Be sure to bring lots of cash, as the bus and many vendors only accept cash. There is walking involved and a not much free time for sitting down for a long lunch, but the views are breathtaking and the experience memorable for the whole family.

Great history tour and reflection on how much damage a dictatorial ideology can do to human. This can still happen anywhere in our world today. Our guide Josh is most knowledgeable and passionate to help unpack a very difficult part of human history for us. A great and meaningful tour, a highlight of our trip to Europe.

Did 3 different tours with Radius team despite had booked through different platforms 😁. Tour guides were all professional, friendly and humorous. Did Castle tour with Lana, she is duperb with lots to share. She knows all facts and details at fingertips, very caring and considerate too. Then Salzburg with Maxine who takes great responsibilities for her group, despite the mishap that happened to her. Hope she recovers well soon! Walking tour of city with Jeff was spontaneous and funny, he gave good historical facts through. Communication with the tour office was smooth and prompt too. Would definitely go back to them for different ones if am back!

Went with Radius tours on the Neuschwanstein Castle tour on 11 Oct and it did not disappoint. Our guide Mat was knowledgeable, charming and made everyone in the group interested and included. We took the regional train to Füssen and we had our own reserved bus to the foot of the castle. Being able to skip the huge lines and get straight to the castle is in my opinion very worth it. It was also a unforgettable and memorable day☺️… only our tour guide Mat and members of our tour group are in on this.

I had a great experience with this company during my stay in Munich. I took 2 different tours with them and they where both excellent and super professional. The first tour I took was the Third Reich walking tour, with Josh as a guide. Such an amazing guy, he made the entire tour super interesting and all the information very easy to swallow. He made jokes here and there (only when pertinent of course), and told us his own personal stories that made the experience that much engaging. This tour was about 2:30 to 3 hours long, but with how enjoyable it was, and how charming Josh is when explaining and teaching all the history behind the sights, you will barely even notice you’ve been walking for so long! The second tour I took was Dachau Memorial tour, with Keith as our guide. He was super interesting and informative as well. He had a totally different way of guiding and it suited perfectly for this tour. He always kept an eye on us and was always asking sure no one was missing an interesting sight or information. Since we had to go to the train station and hop on and off buses, he also was keeping an eye so that no one got lost. This tour took all morning, but all the buildings and items you’ll see, together with how interesting Keith words where, made it totally worth it. The people at the Radius agency itself was also very helpful, I ran into an issue with one of my bookings and they where able to help me out with no problem and they where always trying to look for the best solution possible. In general, I had a great experience with this company and I would totally recommend taking tours with them if you’re visiting Munich.

We did the Third Reich Tour (Private Group - 10 persons) in Munich. Our guide Aileen was excellent. She knows a lot about the subject and explains everything very well. The city and its history is very impressive. We had a great afternoon, so five stars for Aileen!

Such an informative tour into the history of Germany & Munich. Keith our guide was full of information and after probably doing this tour a million times still delivered it with gusto. I have just 1 small criticism that as this consist of a fair bit of walking with varied aged people the guides should be finding spots with some sitting options as we passed a few but never used them to rest. This aside , this is a definite recommendation from all of us on the tour.

After driving over 3000 km in the previous two weeks, a train tour was the perfect way to continue to enjoy our European adventure while letting someone else do the driving. Radius Tours did an excellent job setting this trip up, and our tour guide, Paul Reidel, was a treat! His humor, combined with his knowledge of Munich, Salzburg, and points along the way, made our tour such a pleasure. Getting us on the train, then leading us through Salzburg, he kept a running dialog about the many unique and charming sights of both Munich and Salzburg. The walking tour of Salzburg gave us a sense of where we were and where we wanted to go to get the most out of our time in this beautiful Austrian city. We capped the tour with an absolutely delicious slice of Sacher Torte at Cafe Bazar at Paul's recommendation, and it was everything he said it would be, and more! I definitely recommend both Radius Tours and Paul Reidel for any tour you are interested in!

The tour had a lot of walking uphill but was worth it. The castle is fantastic and beautiful. Our guide Michelle was great. Maxine is the PERFECT tour guide. She gave lots of fascinating info that was anything but dry. It was a really fun day. Very worth every Euro. Highly recommend this tour.

The tour to Neuschwanstein Castle on 15/10/22 was well worth it. We had a great tour guide (Thomas) who was very informative on not just the castle history, but the also the surrounding country side and Ludwig II. The duration of 9 to 10 hrs may appear long but it didn't seem it at all. Definitely go if you are thinking about it.

Excellent and informative tour. Our guide Josh is so passionate about the city, country and the hard truths that have to be learned from the awful happenings during the period in question. He guided us through the story of what happened in Munich during the rise and fall of the Third Reich - no frills, no punches pulled, but without being political or biased - just the reality, good, or mostly bad. Thank you Josh. Highly recommended.

Radius Tours was recommended to us as the company to go with for a private cycle tour. From the first email to the goodbye at the end of our tour, we really enjoyed their professionalism and enthusiasm. Our guide on the day was Dani and she is lovely! She managed to lead us around Munich though the traffic, which is a skill all on its own. Dani took us on a great circuit tour starting at the Konigsplatz. We made our way through the English Gardens which we all fell in love with. Dani is very enthusiastic about the city and it definitely is catching. Seeing the city from the bicycle was great, we moved faster than walking but could still take in all the sites in areas where you can't get to by car. Our tour was over far too quickly! We booked 4 hours. Next time we will book a few more hours so that there's time for a lunch stop before heading back to the Radius Tours cycle base at Hauptbahnhof.

My partner and I scheduled a tour to visit Neuschwanstein castle with the Spanish group due to no remaining availabilities for an English tour. Because we don't speak much Spanish, we were a little apprehensive before we left. However, our tour guide Rocío was more than accommodating in helping us to understand the history of the castles and the city, and made sure we were sufficiently aware of the trip's schedule throughout the day. In the end, we couldn't have asked for a better experience when visiting Neuschwanstein castle and cannot recommend it enough. Thank you, Rocío!

This was one of the most informative tours I have taken. Our guide was passionate and excited to share his vast knowledge about a dark time in our history. Ending at the memorial to the victims of world war II with the eternal flame was so moving and the most appropriate way to end the tour - with solemn reverence to those who perished. A hidden gem among today's hustle and bustle. This tour was well worth it!

I did the Dachau tour and had Mat as a tour guide. He was very informative and knowledgeable during the tour. Tour started on time and every seems to be very professional. Would definitely use this tour company again.

I took my family of five (ranging from ages 12-48) on a walking tour with Josh, our guide, who spent three incredible hours talking about the rise, fall, and aftermath of the Third Reich. Not only was this one of the best tours I've, personally, ever had, but Josh is hands-down one of the most powerful, learned, and informative guides you'll ever meet. How do you contextualize what happened to millions upon millions of people? How do you tell the story of how people let this come to pass? How do you put what affected the entire world in a way that is easily digestible, engaging, and moving? Josh did exactly that. What could have been a history lesson Josh turned into a story. It made sense. It was moving. It gave you pause. But, best of all, Josh's personality made three hours slip by without ever realizing it. That's what great educators can do and Josh is one of those people who truly loves what he's talking about. His honesty and candor helped fill in the periphery of how the Third Reich could do what it did and how so many were complicit. Still, you leave the tour knowing that good eventually triumphs over evil but at a very steep cost. If you only have time for one tour while in Munich please do yourself, and your family, the favor of taking this tour. It will positively challenge what you know about WWII and how things came to pass. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Our tour guide, German Mark, was amazing. Very knowledgeable and cracked in some jokes as well to lighten the mood. He really took care of the group from start to finish. Will definitely recommend this tour

Our day trip to Neuschwanstein with Michelle was excellent. She had a great grasp of the history and delivered it well - in neat little snapshots. She managed the transit on the train well as well as the timing of the whole trip. It was well organized. She was pleasant and engaging. We had the best day with weather - lovely snow in the ground, blue sky with the sun shining - which we and she took a moment to appreciate. Not every day was like this at Neuschwanstein.

We did three tours with this company during our stay in Munich— Dachau concentration camp, Neuschwanstein Castle and Nuremberg. I would highly recommend each tour. Neuschwastein Castle- our group was large so we were divided into two groups- one led by Stephanie and one led by Tom. The actual tour of the castle is quite short so on the bus on the way to the castle Tom and Stephanie provided us with the background of the castle and what to look for in each room which was quite beneficial and allowed us to understand the significance of the decor in each room. We were in Tom’s group and on the long (and quite steep) hike to the castle, he would stop for rest breaks and provide us with more info about the background of the castle which was much appreciated by this 55+ year old couple. Dachau-Ost Concentration Camp- our guide was Jake who was intensely knowledgeable about this very serious subject. He was willing to answer questions and was quite approachable. Nuremberg- our guide was Scott who was very personable and was also very willing to answer questions. He also walked at a pace that was manageable and took frequent breaks to explain the significance of certain buildings. Needless to say that I highly recommend this tour group.
