Avoid unless you like Luke warm food. Order a 2 course set menu for hubby and starter and main for me. Hubby's main course arrived with the starters. Tiny portion of cold chips and egg. Returned to be redone. Took ages to get my main and hubby's refreshed main. Requested no cheese sauce on my burger got it anyway. Not sure how the burnt offerings in the attached pictures could be actually be like warm but they were. Still waiting on the requested condiments. Avoid

All you can eat breakfast was tasty and everything was fresh and warm. The interior feels a bit tired but the food is good and well priced.

Just had a Sunday roast delivery. It was delivered within half an hour and was delicious. There was plenty of food and all well cooked. Highly recommend it

Pros: Friendly staff, carvery is usually good. Cons: Place is a little bit run down (torn furniture, dated, not much upkeep), also not nearly as clean as it could be. We had two burgers (chicken (pictured) and beef) both were very burnt, still ate some of these as we didn't fancy waiting another 40 minutes for a new one.

Great Carvery and I mean 4 star!!!! and the pizzas are amazing. Plenty of seating and a quirky little pub. Great value for money and a really friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Lovely dinner here, delicious turkey roast, though could have been hotter. Not an issue with the Fish and Chips which were nicely hot, crisp and tasty Service excellent, especially from Jack, who was very helpful. The pub was warm, well - filled and there was a lively atmosphere.

Great food! Had carvery and it was all lovely, had the beef and it was really good and the veg was all hot and cooked well. Best part was the crispy roast pot. Really enjoyed and the staff are a good laugh. Coming back on sat for a friends birthday

Omg seriously THE best carvery I have ever eaten! No knife needed for any of our meat, it literally fell apart. Superb service too!

We had breakfast buffet. Food was kept nicely hot and regularly replenished. The eggs were still soft and runny, not hardened under the heat, which I find is a quite common fault. Very reasonably priced, the staff were super friendly and helpful. We weren't rushed, and the restaurant is nice and roomy.

Had a lovely family meal. Each with a meal that suited what they fancied. Carvery meal. Burger meal. Kids fish finger meal which included a dessert. All very tasty. The little one was happy as she had chips with her meal followed by a chocolate dessert with ice-cream.

Lovely place and the food is exceptional. Love coming here time and again and they do not over cook the veg which is a big plus in my book. Definitely recommended

We visited the Wilbury on Saturday, food was average but edible but the staff were first class we had an issue with my husbands desert and Tracy immediately sorted the issue and her whole approach was first class. While the food could be improved the staff were brilliant, polite and eager to help customers we were very impressed. Well done Tracy you saved the day a credit to the company.

Staff are very polite, was able to have a laugh with the bar staff. Very catering for people with very severe allergies. Would very much recommend and I will be visiting again very soon. Thank you all staff members.

Love this place; Emma & the team are so lovely & the food is great value (especially when the deals come through on the app too!). Pizzas are my fave but the other half is all about the carvery so it’s great we can both have our favourites. Definitely recommend!

Had breakfast here. Couldn’t fault the place. The full English is at the heated buffet counter and the meats were amazing, perfectly cooked and delicious. Good coffee on tap and a lovely atmosphere with nice little snug areas with tables. The staff were super attentive and friendly. We stayed for hours, it was just so relaxed and nice. Would definitely return to try their carvery.

Booking was easy via the website. Good sized carpark . This is one of those restaurants where you book a slot and you pick your own table. It wasn't busy at 7pm Friday which to me is a red flag. Ordered drinks at the bar, very good service there. Drinks were OK...premix sodas. We chose a table and I was able to scan a qr code to order and pay. Bear in mind that at this point we've not seen anyone in relation to the food. So I was a little surprised when the app asked how much of a service charge I wanted to pay ! We both had a standard carvery. Turkey was very dry and it along with sausages that I saw had clearly been under the lamps for a long time. Vegetable sides were better than you'd expect at a carvery onion gravy was good The restaurant atmosphere is fine if you're a family im sure but for those of us trying to avoid high velocity kids turned up to 11 its not ideal. I will go back a bit earlier and see if the quality of the meat is improved and for the price its nearly there. The menu also offers the kind of food you'd get at a harvester but at a slightly lower price. May of been a one off so I will try again

Had a lovely meal here with my parents. My mother has allergies and the staff were very helpful an knowledgeable with pointing out the different allergens. All staff we spoke to were very friendly and food was brought to us quickly and was very well prepared. Very different experience to the one I had around 6 months ago. Will definitely be returning and recommending to my friends.

Fantastic staff!!! And the food was absolutely gorgeous!!! We couldn’t finish it so we took it home in take away boxes. The atmosphere is very chilled and clean and the staff are all friendly. The service is quite quick too!!! I would 100% recommend and I’ll definitely be back!!!

We decided to go to the Wilbury on the spur of the moment for a carvery. We had a one meat, free carvery, and a traditional carvery. I was given a very generous helping of meat free chicken which was lovely. The Yorkshire puddings and potatoes were lovely and crispy however, having arrived quite late some of the vegetables were slightly dried. The traditional carvery was also very nice and portions were generous. We both had apple pie and custard for dessert, which again was delicious and generous in portion. A very reasonable priced carvery, two meals and dessert only cost around £12 ahead each. Staff were friendly., all in all a very pleasant evening

Very nice place. Friendly staff. Carvery good for the price. A family member recently worked here and loved it, said it was fun and staff were great to work with. (only left for more money) but misses it loads. Shame really! I remember the pizzas being mega tasty. Decor and atmosphere is nice too.

We didn't have high expectations for our Sunday family lunch after reading some reviews but we were wrong everything was delicious fresh veg lovely meat good choice and very polite helpful staff. We all had carvery but the pizzas that were being delivered to adjacent tables looked very nice. We would definitely book to go for a Sunday roast again. Breakfast also has been really good on the occasions we have been . We'll done to all the staff at The Wilbury

Really nice friendly pub, although it could do with some updating as many of the seats were worn and torn. The carvery was lovely and the staff in general were welcoming. Big shout out to the lady chef on duty on Thursday 21 July, she was super friendly, accommodating and very welcoming.

We have been here a few times with the kids for a meal out. There is a fair selection of food available. The staff are always very welcoming and happy to help. My only criticisms would be that some areas are looking pretty shabby and unloved (not everywhere, but it is noticeable) and there have been a couple of occasions, although not all, mainly in the evening, where the food has been quite slow to arrive (40mins+) even though it's not busy. That being said it is worth going, there's plenty of parking and the food is nice.

I regularly have a roast dinner from here and it is always great. Selection of food is always good whatever time of the day or evening. Staff are always extremely polite and nothing is too much trouble. Bar area is also dog friendly and you can take your carvery through to the bar area to eat. Great food and great service.

Visited last Thursday for my partner's birthday, alongside my Dad and a couple of close friends. From the moment we got there we were very well looked after. Staff constantly checked that we were ok, happy and enjoying our 3 course meal. In addition they brought the cake out straight after desserts as requested alongside plates and napkins. Everyone enjoyed their starters, mains, puddings and hot cold drinks, as well as the cake which we made room for. Great set out for a pub with so much open space in addition to a lovely bar and drinking area as well as a game of pool. Very happy with all your staff's service in particular Brandon at the bar, who looked after us. Needless to say we will definitely be returning again. Keep up the great work! 😀

I’ve been here sooo many times for many different occasions. I love the food especially the breakfast. I think it’s great value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful. Oh in accordance to the other reviews, the place is a bit dated in places (the teal tiles in the pizza area are lovely) but, I don’t live there. I’m only there to eat, I don’t think I’ve ever used their toilets either to be fair 😁 See you guys soon 😎

Food warm not hot, had the carvery, no gravy so had to wait till it arrived so stood around with plate of food getting colder. We were in a big family group so when meal was finished we were asked to pass our own plates down the table, never happened before in any eateries I've been before. Staff need better training.

Very disappointed today, used to love going to the Wilbury and then the Gardeners Arms, used to get a warm welcome a good carvery and great service. Today, walked in and waited at the sign, a very young waitress asked if we had booked, three of us, we said no we hadn't so the waitress who wasn't expecting that answer had to get another waitress to seat us, but only after checking the tablet for about three to four minutes, when it was very obvious where the empty tables were! We were seated and as there seemed to be queue for the bar I downloaded app to order drinks, not much, just a Diet Coke, glass of wine and a coffee, simple. after waiting for an eternity, put it this way the table next to us had gone to collect dinner and eaten it, I went up to the bar to ask where our drinks were! I was greeted by a 'boy' who looked hardly old enough to be in a pub let alone serve in one, who pulled a string of receipts off a printer stating it was nearly our turn, three drinks and a near 20 minute wait. Eventually the glass of wine and coke were brought over by the 'boy' but no coffee, when I asked where the coffee was I was greeted by a 'tut' and a 'huff', now I'm a patient person but this was getting a little annoying, the coffee was brought over black handled by the mug and a pot of sugars! oh dear, can we have some milk please, again a 'huff' and two minutes later a pot of milk. Well that was enough for me, we drank up and went elsewhere to eat, total lack of customer service, urgency, atmosphere in the place and no staff who looked over the age of 20! they seemed to wander around aimlessly, picking a glass up here and there, and serving the bar customers rather than those who had been seated. I can't tell you what the food was like as I would still be waiting for it to arrive 4 hours later, someone needs to get a grip and supervise the staff, but it seemed like no 'grown up' was present. great shame as this was a nice place to eat and drink with a good atmosphere, but now a 'chain' has it and it's been ruined. I will return again but perhaps not for food.
