Big carpark, warm greeting from the lady behind the reception who was covering for the receptionist who then checked me in with all info given. No lift ,stairs had a funny smell and slightly in the corridor but not in the room . Room was a good size as was the bathroom Bed really comfortable had a good night sleep. Shower was hot and powerful. WiFi wasn't very good Evening meal was OK not a huge choice to choose from the portion size was a bit small chunky chips were French fries ! Breakfast not included but was 13.95 to add on way overpriced for a Breakfast! No paths leading out of the hotel and its a busy country road so no running for me but the grounds are large so nice little walk around. Didn't know it was a spa there until I left ! Would I stay again and recommend probably yes 👍.

Stayed one night and given a tiny room completely different from what I saw on Expedia. The bathroom also filthy and stuffy. Room number 78 is not worthy that much and the worst of all the hotels I have been to during my stay here in UK

It was so filthy and tired.. I felt so dirty after spending the night that I couldn't wait to get home and have a hot shower using my Dettol Disinfectant soap. I hated every bit of my stay. The room was so nasty everything about it, the shower was mouldy the toilet was black and grime in the bowl. The bed had a nasty smell, I had to spray my expensive Tom Ford on the pillows and beding. There were cockroches crawling around the room. There were stains all on the bedhead and carpet. The staff were very nice, especially the bar staff, restaurant waitresses, and waiters along with the chefs they were very helpful and polite. The hotel needs a good renovation.

Good value for money! Parking lot is not great condition and not very well lit up. Was woken up at 7:50 by drilling sound. Third time staying would stay again!

recently stayed at this hotel for a business trip and was blown away by the level of service. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that all of my needs were met and that I had everything I needed to be productive. The room was comfortable and quiet, which made for a great night's sleep. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is advertising a fitness centre on all third party sites. They only included the information about it being closed AFTER you have booked. The fitness suite has been shut since 2019 and despite this the hotel has been actively advertising on Google and other sites that it has a fully working fitness centre which is purposefully deceptive. Other reviewers have said the same. On the rest of the hotel. It is generally tired and in need of renovation. It certainly is not up to standard. During my stay cleaners in outside work clothes (including camouflage pattern trousers) were walking in and out of the kitchen during breakfast service and were making themselves tea and coffee in the guest restaurant. Overall there is a lack of cleanliness and maintenance to decor. The staff are friendly but helpless as the general manager controls the advertising. Not a place I would recommend or stay at again.

We came for Christmas meal and evening . The meal was small sized not worth the money and bit cold . The brussell sprouts were rock hard . The D.J was so out of date . Only good nice thing was the pudding .

Review is for a Christmas party night which was held in a marquee. It was really cold and unfortunately we had a table near the door which made things worse. Had to keep my coat on for most of the time. Food was average and DJ didn't play anything from the last 10yrs. Gave up at 10.30pm and went home.

Didn't stay. Attended a black tie dinner. Bar service was awful in both main bar and bar in venue/room; waited in excess 30mins to get served, ran out of Prosecco, beer on tap off for a while, tills failing, lack of staff. Aircon not working so venue room sweltering. Male toilet leaking. Been here numerous occasions and last night was "wanting"

Been here a few times now, mainly for the conferencing facilities. Generally speaking everything is good and consistent although does few like the place could do with a bit of a refresh. The hotel rooms are decent and spacious but it can get a bit chilly in the colder months. All the staff I’ve come across are polite and helpful.

I have stayed on two occasions and both times rooms were comfortable and I had the best nights sleep. The staff are excellent and very friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The food was great and I love the reception area. My particular favourite part is sitting outside enjoying the wonderful surroundings.

Just attended a family wedding yesterday and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and attentive. We were only a small party and they looked after us superbly. The meal was wonderful. I would thoroughly recommend it.

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at or seen. The manager Ryan tried so hard to help us, the cleaning staff gave us towels to stand on in the shower but it's tough to put lip stick on a pig. The property is dilapidated and filled with mold. The sign was dirty, the exterior unkept, the ceing plaster falling onto the bed from water damage, black mold surrounding the water damage and the shower was mold filled as well~ totally digusting but we were stuck as we were attending a local wedding. Brutal stay. Would rate the place a negative 10 if possible.

Nice Lodge, but WiFi did not work. Shame that we had to eat out, before our evening function at the hotel due to poor menu. The anticipated Website lunch menu was changed; from nice eats (Club sandwich, Coronation chicken...) to a basic 3 sandwiches (Cheese sandwich, Ham sandwich...) If this is the norm after Covid, then hotel should change their website menue details... and they should do that in any case.

I didn't stay at the hotel, I came in for coffee after phoning to establish whether they did serve coffee to non- residents and failing to have the call answered. There was no-one on reception when we arrived and no means of letting them know we were there. We stood around for a while & eventually a member of staff appeared. We asked if she could serve us coffee and perhaps a croissant or something to go with it. She said yes to the coffee but no to anything else, so we ordered coffee, paid for it and sat down. When it arrived, it was lukewarm. I thought it might be the machine but found it so unpleasant I decided to take it back & ask for another, which the member of staff supplied without complaint - although she clearly thought the temperature was fine - and that was lukewarm too.

We arrived at 4pm to find a guest swapping out of the room she had been given and despite a check in time of 3pm were told our room was 'being cleaned'. Our room was directly opposite the wedding marquee. Hoovering outside the room and a cheerless receptionist telling us we weren't booked in for the evening meal, despite the booking evidence left us less than impressed. Some staff were better than others. Breakfast canteen style. Honestly, sure it was worse value than a room for the night at well known chain. Hospitality more important than they realise

Comfortable, friendly, helpful, accommodating staff. Lovely grounds. Room was clean but too small for a couple and way off in the attic! Breakfast wasn’t satisfactory. Veggie sausage was potato and veg but not enough options for vegetarians. Not enough variation, no fresh fruit?

No fridge in room. Food was okay. Overcharged some of my friends when they had already paid for their breakfast. On our wedding day they wanted my wife to be out of the room by 10am even though we were only getting married at 3pm. Had to pay extra which would have been fine if they told us in the beginning.

I enjoyed my stay here, I thought the room was lovely and the view in the morning was stunning. We had breakfast whilst there and that was really nice. The staff were friendly and was really happy to be at our service. Will definitely stay again.
