The lifeguards will NOT. Save you. Rarely cleaned but when it does get cleaned it's mediocre. Still pretty nice to go to. But it's usually really crowded during the summer as expected. Other activities are way better than swimming.

We come here since two years. We were always happy but today the whole complex was extremely dirty. We could find a spot with hair, trash or other unidentified matter .. sauna, hammams, swimming pool, toilets and changing rooms were all gross... Is the cleaning personal on strike? Then some banners should be placed because really we left disgusted

What's not to like? There are pools for swimmers and non-swimmers, slides, jacuzzis, dry sauna, steam baths, play-areas, public showers and dryers. You name it, Sportoase has it! I wish, however, that there was a provision of letting us take pictures for memory's sake. Having said that, I do understand the regulation from the viewpoint of privacy.

Amazing place. The employees are kind and the lifeguards are always on edge. I've been swimming there twice a week for the past 4 years and only once was something broken. Worth the 5 stars.

My boyfriend and I came today to the Sportoase to go swimming. We checked the opening hours before on their webpage but there was nothing special about it. The usual 8-18h. When we arrived there, the nice girl at reception said to us, that the swimming pool is only open till 15h since there is a championship going on, so we would inly be there for half an hour since our arrival time was 14:30. I asked her why there was no notification on their webpage and she said, that they unfortunately only posted it on facebook and right at the entrance?!? Can you imagine us coming there after driving for 30 minutes just to get that information?!? WHOEVER IS THE MANAGER OR DIRECTOR ITSSS COMPLETELY THEIR FAULT!!!! Thank to the nice girl at reception I didn’t lose my mind.

A couple of disappointments at the sportoase pool unfortunately. Ive been going to this pool since I was a child, and being almost 32 now absolutely nothing has changed or improved. We've been with our baby twice now but there are some problems. It is quite cold in general. The babypool is warmer but after 20 minutes we were all cold. There are also not enough warm showers. You will have to wait every time. With a cold baby this is not ideal at all. The showers also don't work properly... Also there are a lot of broken tiles and I think the changing area is always dirty. If you go, definitely bring some flip-flops and a towel at hand to wrap the little one in on the way out. For the price of 19€ for 2 adults and one baby I think I'll be going elsewhere next time.

Do you like swimming in an affordable and clean pool? Then this is NOT the place for you. Expensive entrance fee for changing cabins that are permanently filthy, as are the floor and pool walls. It's a coin toss whether you'll be able to actually swim: Pool is often 60% reserved by clubs while regular swimmers are 10 per lane. Unworkable, unpleasant and unsafe.

Review for the gym: Staff are friendly and the variety of equipment and machines is great. However I really wish they'd fix two things considering the membership price is higher than other gym chains: 1. Foam mats are all super worn out and look like they've been used for years. Some have holes in them are absolutely filthy. These are not expensive to replace. 2. Machines are quite filthy. They look like they haven't been cleaned in ages either. Members typically wipe down the regularly used parts after, but the rest remains very dirty

Nice big gym with a pool, climbing wall, squash room, cycling, yoga, crossfit, etc... Also there is a bar, basketball field and big underground parking.

The indoor pool is nice with slides for kids. Just opposite to the pool entrance there is an indoor playground for kids as well. Time with kids can be well spent there with kids.

Sportoase is one of the best places for most of the sports activities in Leuven. The reservations are very easy, I was at Sportoase for a badminton tournament and my experience with the facilities were very good.

A lot of different facilities and friendly staff. Nice to climb but can get really hot especially in the summer months. There's also a nice bar.

Try to avoid peak hours, and then it’s a nice swimming experience for all ages and sporting levels.

A descent swimming pool. Good for the kids, too. I would love it if the shower facility was improved, but I accept it because I know it is common style in Belgium.

Expensive/Sometimes dirty/Crowdy. Personal inside is nice. One young boy who gives you a ticket is not. Possible to get good emotions if you try))

I enjoyed my time there. It has two clean swimming pools; one with two slides and the other without. So, you can swim seriously or you. Just use the sides and have fun😁 it also has two types of so a, dried and wet. However, the wet one is not that spacious, and in case you have claustrophobia, it's not usable. Also, there are two jacuzzis where you can relax there. You can bring food and there is a place with dining tables and chairs where you can use them. Also, there is a specific swimming pool for children with duck-shaped douches. 😁

Pros The swimming pool is good. Less chlorine in water. The family swimming section part is great. Friendly staff. Cons The toilets are not clean.

It has many activities in it. It is easily accessible and a nice place to have for a meaningful purpose (a healthy life)... What can I ask for more!? 😄

Great for various sport activities, although they still do not allow women who cover, or even people both men and women, who wish to wear more modest clothing. Its a shame

Great training facility! The fitness is comfortable and not crowed, also the equipment is in excellent conditions. It has swim pool, a small water park, a big court for any kind of court sports, rock climbing, aerobic and spinning classes. And very important, a bar inside, to recover from the training lol.

Amazing for kids and adults. Very clean and safe. And jacuzzi...omg heavenly. Friendly staff and polite.

The toilets from the fitness are WAY too dirty for what you have to pay. Even the basic fit that is way cheaper has cleaner rooms. Toilets are super nasty with pee everywhere and water on the floor. There could also be more machines. But yeah my main problem is how bad the hygiene from the toilets is.

When i arrived in leuven sportoase it was one of my favorite places, now in the pool area it is very cold and when I move from one point to another I do it shaking. The floor is very slippery (especially dangerous for children and the elderly) and the lockers don't work well, instead a relaxing experience is a stressful experience from the first moment I enter. So I decided to try the gym thinking that I certainly wouldn't be disappointed and in fact the equipment is fantastic. Unfortunately, even upstairs the changing rooms are really cold, one of the hairdryers on the wall is broken and the other two that are there do not have hot air. The sauna is wonderful but when I go out I have to move to the furthest showers to get a cold water jet (all three showers near the sauna have no cold water). In short, all a contradiction in there for the highest prices in the city, I wish things were different because I live practically a stone's throw from the gym but I am forced to join a gym that offers less services but with a better quality.

It's nice place for various sport activities. We particularly went for swimming. The quality of training is good, however, compared to the other outskirt swimming pools here the time is little bit less. Otherwise it's nice place

🫤 Update - after 2+ years I dropped a lot of stars. Basically the only pluses for me are location and size. You exercise at your own risk (hard to say but true) you can see people almost injuring themselves because of not knowing what they're doing and the staff will not do anything about it. Staff co...

👍 Updated review: since I started a semester ago the gym changed a lot. They incorporated new machines like the SEATED LEG EXTENSION MACHINE and the machine for butt workout 😂. 😠 This place is a worst place in Leuven. Once you have a membership you will not be able to unsuscribe. 😠 Often dirty and out of papers. Showers often not well kept. Toilet smelly. And especially one of the staff member is too often doing his own fitness instead of taking care of the client, leaving phones ringing not answered and clients waiting at reception desk.

😠 It's an urban gym. So not very clean, and the guys who were there were far from friendly. Won't be going again.
