Perfect beach for kids, sand bar allows for walking out quite far. Waves are minimal being the bay. Bugs are non-existent. Not many jellyfish (saw a couple people/kids stung but there aren't swarms of jellies). Parking fills quick, but there always seems to be people coming and going so spots eventually open up. Price is $5 for 2hrs. Lots of food trucks and Dairy Queen within walking distance. Distance to beach isn't too far of walk. There are bath houses and an outside shower. Lifeguards are always a benefit!

Easy parking, pay at the meter and just walk up to the beach. Mellow waves. Nice view across the ocean. Lovely beach for relaxing.

Nice family beach, I have not had a problem finding parking, but be sure to pay/extend your parking right away; otherwise, the ticket will be waiting for you.

On the bay so basically no waves. Felt a little like a lake beach. Would be good for small children though. Beach was clean and well maintained. Not too crowded

Very nice! Warm, gentle waves. Beach was clean and sand was very comfortable to walk on (not many sticks or shells). A bit tricky to find parking. Although it was a bit crowded, other guests were pleasant and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

As a family we usually rent a home for a week. This year was wonderful only one day of rain. Lewes works hard to maintain the family environment. So nice to find a beach town that has resisted the carnival atmosphere and remained true to the family beach day ideal.

Very nice short beach. Very nice view of the Cape May Lewes Ferry! Showers and rest rooms. Must remember tag number to pay for parking. They will ticket you. Cops patrolling everywhere.

Lovely beach for friends & families. Water shallow allowing you to walk a long way. Parking can be difficult on peak days but usually able to find something.

Best beach around. We have been taking our kids here for years and they love it. Parking is a bit of a challenge if you do not go early! Overall definitely worth the visit!

9-16-23 Was our 4th visit over the years. We now have find a less packed and family friendly beach that we need. Loads of pay by the hour parking, some off site parking if you don't mind the walk and easy access to the beach. Calm waves is a perfect place for kids who will otherwise get knocked down by the ocean waves. No boardwalk. A nice bathroom with outside showers.

Lots of parking, lots of beach space, everything is flat, no dunes to walk over. Water is shallow and slopes down very gently. No waves. Bathrooms open late and outside spigot to wash off. Parking through ParkMobile which is the same for all the beach towns. Sunset views. Dogs allowed in the evening. The week we were it was too hot during the day-95 actual temperature.

Quiet beach, lots of cool shells. Did see some trash unfortunately. I picked up a little but it was sad to see. They do have a nice walkway out across the sand, and its definitely cool to watch the ferry come in and out!

It's a great beach for little kids/toddlers. We were there with our 18 month old and the water was calm and not intimidating at all. Would highly recommend. I wish there was more information about umbrella rentals etc.

It is a family beach . Nice beach. For swimming with children, it is good. The parking fee is 2.50 per hour.
