The shelter is quite spacious and can accommodate roughly 100 persons I believe. It is well lit and surrounded by trails, wooden boardwalk. Has a water source and restroom. Good place to organize picnic. Has a kids playground ground and splash pad adjacent to it.

Great shelter area in Saluda Shoals near the splash pad. There are restrooms, hiking paths and river access nearby. There is a fee for entry into the park, as well as options for other activities like kayaking and access to the splash pad that have additional fees.

The kids always have a great time at the splash pad here! Cost is only $3 per child so it's a fun and cheap activity for the afternoon. Be cautious when going if the weather is a little iffy. They are required to turn the water off for 20 minutes if they hear thunder.

Overall a great shelter. Bummer about the yellow jackets, though. They are fairly lethargic but, still, they are yellow jackets.

This is a nice covered pavilion with plenty of tables. Located in Saluda Shoals park. Trails nearby & a large green space which we used for an Easter Egg hunt for the kids. They had fun despite the cloudy sprinkling weather.

The Cattail shelter is a very nice shelter for a large gathering at Saluda Shoals Park. It has a dozen or more picnic tables, a double grill that uses charcoal, running water and a common area for other games. They shelter itself and the picnic tables are nice quality. It is located next to us some standing water in the park that can cause problems with insects but otherwise this is a great location. It is a short walk to the splash pad for the kids.

This area was in a perfect spot for our summer heat! Plenty of shade and the bathrooms are close by. We had a great time here enjoying our 4th of July gathering.
