This place is wonderful for concerts!! Limited seating so you have an excellent viewing & a seat to sit in that is comfortable!!! Not some metal fold out chair. The people sitting around usually doesn't stand up in front of you so you get to see all the band members. Love that they are considerate like that! Eautiful building and takes you way back in time. The band was phenomenal...BTW

I enjoyed the Chicago production, what I could see. Unfortunately my seat in the upper mezzanine only allowed me to see 1/3 of the screen. And I paid a decent price for said sear. If I go back to this theater I will try to be more careful with choosing seats.

The Lexington Opera House is shkwing it's age inside. They need to do some repainting for sure. It is still a beautiful building and it does have a lot of history here in Lexington. My wife and I saw the musical "Hits!" It was a good show and a trip down memory lane with all of the songs from the 70's to the 2000's. Really enjoyed it.

The Lexington opera House is one of LEXINGTON‘s finest establishments. The entertainment is always beyond expectations. Everyone is so friendly and kind when you’re coming in or going out. They make a point of making sure you find your place, get seated, and are comfortable where you are, there’s not a bad seat in the house, but if you’re sitting in the mezzanine, or sitters in the balcony, you’re going to have a find you at the stage. My husband and I went most recently to see Leanne Morgan and she kept us all in stitches, the whole evening. Thank you, LEXINGTON, Opera House, for always providing such great entertainment.

I've been to the Opera House many, many times. The shows are always great, the staff is wonderful, but the seating is awful. It really needs to be updated and I know it will reduce the capacity, but something has to be done to give the audience a little bit more leg room. I have never left a show there without experiencing pain in my back and knees from sitting through a show. There are some issues with line of sight which are pretty typical for a theater like this. Depending on where you sit, you're going to miss something on the left or the right or above the actors if you're in the balconies, but to spend two or more hours with your knees pressed into the back of the seat in front of you unable to make even small adjustments to your position is uncomfortable and distracting from the experience.

Very beautiful old opera house kept in great condition. I’ve been to a couple of performances here which were both great, good acoustics from the mezzanine and from orchestra. It looked like there were very few obstructed view seats, if at all. Staff are always very friendly and kind. Definitely recommend seeing a show here!

Parking wasn't bad, but it was not their parking lot and was $10 extra, then we had to walk. It is a very small venue and the top section isn't great for seeing a show, but you're still fairly close. Very cramped seating as well. We went for a comedy show and saw Drew Lynch, but would have preferred to go to Comedy Off Broadway.

Small seats. Not the most comfortable, tight fit, felt like my neighbor and I were sitting on each other. Couldn't bring a water bottle in, even emptied, and there was nothing posted online or inside/outside the building indicated that expectation. Also confusing since there are water bottle refilling stations inside.

What a wonderful venue! My wife and I attended a comedy show this spring and enjoyed the historic Opera House very much. We stayed nearby and walked to the show; this allowed us the benefit of not having to find parking downtown–which is a premium. The decor and architecture will remind you of the age and significance of the Opera House. The seats were made during a time when we as a society were smaller and more fit. As a larger man, even though the space was a bit tight, I did enjoy the angle of the seating. Being able to see clearly over the heads of those seated in front of me was nice. Even though there are multiple levels of seating, the room is small enough that everyone has a good view of the stage and is seated much closer than expected. While we were there, we ordered drinks. This is my only complaint. As with many venues, the Opera House earns most of its money through concessions. Be expected to pay a premium for anything purchad.

Last minute decision to see Tyler Hubbard. Enjoyed the concert. Staff is friendly. If only the seats were a little bigger. We felt like we were sitting on top of each other. Our feet were hitting the seats in front of us.

Very nice Theater! The Auditorium area is very nice. Not too large, which is a good thing because it makes you feel more closer to the Performance on the Stage.

It was awesome! The only problem wasn't the venue - it was all the people talking (so loudly!) during the performance. Kind of a bummer, but what can you do. We were there for acoustic Bryan Martin and Brantley Gilbert. The venue was amazing. Very pretty, comfortable seats, and looked like there wasn't a bad seat in the house.

This place was so beautiful and exquisite!! I can't wait to go to future events here and hopefully the next time I will make sure I sit in a balcony seat it really took me back in time! I highly recommend! It was very quaint and cozy not very overwhelming. And there's other places right beside to explore as well and I definitely plan on coming back and exploring more of Lexington!

Nice venue. Very nostalgic feel to it. Just saw The Lexington Ballet's Nutcracker. Would definitely visit again. Seating is a bit snug.

The place is beautiful! Be careful if you have long legs though! Seats make feel like you are flying on a low budget airline.

Beautiful clean building but seating is terrible. The building is over 100 years old and folks back then weren't as tall. Seating is very cramped and if you're 6' tall, even less, be prepared for aching knees. Otherwise, it's nice and clean

It’s a nice little opera house with some wonderful productions that are showcased here. You definitely feel that you are back in time with the velvety red decor. They serve basic beverages and limited snack options prior to the show and at intermission. Wine, sodas, coffees (10-$4). The restrooms are clean and ample for the crowd. The staff is super friendly and courteous.

Very beautiful place. Concessions could be a little bigger. Seats need to have cup holders. Im glad I didn't order 3 like I wanted to.

The comedy show we went to see was hilarious, but the actual venue itself was outdated and the staff wasn't the friendliest. The bathroom at the main entrance was gross, but it was also the only bathroom we guests were using but by our own choosing lol. Comedy isn't this venue owners thing, that's for sure lol

To begin with, the concert staff and ushers were all great! Entry into the Opera House was quick and easy. Seating, was a huge disappointment to say the least. We went to see Old Dominion in concert last night. However, after being in our seats for maybe a couple minutes, we left...it was totally unacceptable to even sell those seats at a fraction of the cost of what we paid for them Our seats were on the third level. Granted, this was our first visit to The Lexington Opera House, so we knew very little about it. very little legroom for a guy that is 6' 3" and even worse shoulder room...and our view would have been limited to maybe half of the stage at best. That was unacceptable to me at $125 per seat. I'm sure the main level would have been fine, maybe even the second level would have been fine as well. However, there should have been a disclaimer when purchasing tickets for the third level that the view would be limited to maybe half of the stage...forget mentioning the legroom. Had I known the seats would have been that horrible, we would have just gone to Jeff Ruby's for a really nice dinner. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway has a better view of the entire racetrack than these seats had of the band. The Opera House shouldn't even offer the third level seating for sale. The two stars is only because of the staff. We have no desire to return to give it a second shot or better review unless we had tried seats on the main level.
