We first visited this place 7 years on our first trip to Costa Rica. We were so impressed then, I saved it on my phone in case we ever came back. We visited yesterday with a group of 14 people and we were ALL equally impressed. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you are in the Libera area.

Absolutely wonderful. The only difficulty is what to choose among the dozens of great looking plates. It's totally a local place but if you are in Liberia, totally worth the detour. The ceviche porteño is to die for and the whole fish with seafood... No words... Just go and enjoy!!!

Outstanding food! Service and organization could be improved so it corresponds with the food. We had grilled octopus, octopus ceviche and very generous portion of surf & turf, Pina colada and guaro sour. Everything was really really good. The only downside is that restaurant doesn't feel cozy. Maybe it's because of the layout of the tables and lack of booths. Maybe it was a sketchy looking guy outside restaurant trying to help people parking even though nobody asked him for it. Our first waiter (bold guy with tattoed hands) was not very friendly and not very attentive, he assumed I wanted a Margarita even though I never ordered it. Another person brings food, 3rd person takes empty plates, 4th person brought dessert and check, 5th person sits in a galss booth and takes payments. Prices in the menu already include 23% service and tax, but later in the check they don't have them and it is confusing. I've never seen anything like that.

Without a doubt the best seafood restaurant in Liberia. Outstanding food! Chefs have created some amazing dishes that are in the 5 star category. The shrimp and avocado salad is my favorite. Beautiful ambience, and extremely polite service. Highly recommended!

Many menu options for all types of diners. The local ingredients and vast seafood options offer a great profile of the tastes of Costa Rica.

I had a trio of Ceviche that was absolutely delicious! The decor is high-end and attractive. The service is a little slow for Gringos :)

$170 worth it angus beef certified? We like this place, i think the chef is the owner as his name is at the sign which means lots of confidence which I like… appetizers were very very good, drinks were acceptable, place is super busy so you need a reservation, in my case my ribeye potatoes were not cooked and that’s sad as that’s a chefs test I do always the risotto was good, deserts well suspiro is a typical Peruvian dessert very well done… I am an interior design and will say the walls decoration are very bad bad frames and also unnecessary signs… we tried the best of his menu as we always do everywhere but $170 was a lil too much… Recommended experience yes why not? You in Liberia he has the cuts so go give it a try! Wish you all the best pura vida

Absolutely fantastic food! What a treat! Discovered by random chance, a hidden gem. Compliments to the chef, Freddy Espinoza! Will be back for sure! Octopus is the best, I’ve had!

One of the best restaurant choices of Liberia town, they have a long menu with gastronomical options. We ordered mixed ceviche and two sea food plates. The taste was really good for the ceviche, the sea food prawns and mussels were tasty but octopus did not have the expected taste. Overall experience was good and I will recommend it but its a bit overpriced as we paid 100£ for two people.

Delicious fresh seafood and good service. Little pricey, but it's worth it!

It was really busy the day we went and we had a wait at lunch rush hour. But it was worth it - so delicious! And great service too.

A little far from the the busy area. We ordered 2 different types of ceviche. The flavor was good but not worth the steep price. Service was terrible. Waiter took our order and pretty much ignored us. We wanted to order more, but paid pur check instead. The atmosphere was okay.

The BEST food we tried while on our month stay in Costa Rica! We ordered the Pulpo San Juanillo (octopus) and Camarones del Diablo and highly recommend both! The price compared to US pricing was very reasonable, but for Costa Rica, the dishes are on the higher end for cost. The pictures are their Arroz Cremoso con Lagosta (creamy lobster rice) and Camarones Causa from our second visit, and they were decent, but I'd recommend the other dishes much more. (Shrimp causa was like a potato salad with shrimp.)

This restaurant is tucked into a residential, city neighborhood in Liberia, which is part of its charm. The restaurant itself is wonderful in all the right ways . . . open, spacious design, large tables, clean, nice decor, extremely attentive wait staff, sizable portions, excellent presentation, wonderful flavors, large fruit drinks, and on and on. Price was very reasonable. We were the only gringos in the restaurant, but that, to us, is a good thing. Very local, native feel to the place. Family owned and operated, our server was the chef's nephew. We thoroughly enjoyed every part of our meal here, and we give this restaurant a strong recommendation. If your spanish is weak or non existent, no problem, they speak English. Extensive menu and I'd bet good money that virtually every dish is a winner. We had calamari, sauteed portena - fillet and shrimp, and shrimp and rice. All eaten, all wonderful. If this restaurant was located within 30 minutes of my house, I'd eat here once a week, minimum.

The food is really good and the staff is lovely. The prices are expensive since the average of a single dish is 20$. I recommend to arrive early because it's full specially in lunch and dinner time. It's one of the best-known restaurants in Liberia.
