Pretty surreal to stand here, looking at giraffes, less than a mile from my own house lol. Not sure how anyone could have a bad day spending a few minutes watching giraffes eat!

Absolutely love this. But I feel like the giraffe feeding should have more that one place to feed. To give other people a change to experience it. We didn't get to do this because literally 300 people were lined up to feed.

I've been 3 times this summer. Some days are not as busy of a wait to see & feed giraffes. There are camels, lions, zebras, birds, bugs, wort hogs and cheetahs. Sorry if I forgot anything, there's a lot to enjoy. Also there are several places that are shaded to walk under and not every day but sometimes they have a water mist for the kids to walk under on hot days. There's a restaurant of some type there with a picnic area outside. I've never been inside the restaurant but I've eaten at the picnic area and it has umbrellas for shade. There's also a place that sells drinks and hot pretzels separately from the restaurant.

A good sized crowd. A very nice Saturday. Parking lot filled quickly. By noon ALL the handicap parking was full. But a very good day in the park. An associate saw us dragging out and gave us a lift to our car! Great Zoo!

Pretty nice section of the zoo. Definitely need to make your way over to check it out. Very cool "plane crash" the kids can plan on with the lion right there!

Columbus Zoo was awesome. We were able to see/find all the animals. Had lunch and took lots of photos. We had 5 kids from 10-20 and they all had fun.

It's always cool to feed giraffes, but you practically have to pay just to see them. $5 later and 3 lettuce leafs later, and you got to see them for maybe 5 minutes. If you ask if you can stand off to the side to look at them, you will be told no. The only other way to see them is off to the side, but there is so much weed/bush overgrowth your kids can't see over. It's not very handicap friendly. 1 feeding (3 leafs) $5 4 feedings (12 leafs) $15

Great zoo with an open safari like area for observing wild life. Neat to see giraffes, gazelles, zebras interacting together and not seeing them in separate enclosures. The cheetah run was enjoyable to watch.

I thought this was the nicer party of the zoo. I enjoyed the Savannah look and feel. Seeing the animals in more natural setting was Cool.

This is such a great place. The animals are so active and they are not caged in. Just fences. It's amazing.

I can't beging to express how much fun I had going to the zoo and getting to experience all of it's locations within, I would recommend these to families and groups that desire a trip worth the experience

Close encounters of the animals without presenting a threat to them. Fantastic!

Looking out on the Heart of Africa exhibit, you momentarily lose yourself. It's easy to forget you're in Central Ohio, as giraffes and zebras saunter by. The Columbus Zoo is world-class for many reasons, but the HoA might be reason 1 for its top ranking. Plus, it's cheaper than a flight and safari!

A fabulous area of the Columbus Zoo! The theming is first rate, and you will feel like you are in a Disney park. This is also home to the best food in the zoo.

Beautiful place inside the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium (you pay for entrance to the Zoo, and this is one of the regions you can visit)... lions, cheetahs, ostriches, giraffes (you can feed them for a nominal fee), and other hoofstock and birds...

I had been to the HEART OF AFRICA at the Columbus Zoo before but this time I was there as a Wedding guest. The venue was excellent! We got to see African animals prior to the Wedding and...during the Wedding the giraffes strutted back and forth as if they were paying attention to the ceremony. The wildebeest and gazelles were grazing in the background. The ceremony was outside and was a very pleasant experience that I didn't know was available.

Always a great time and they have also changed how you pay and view the giraffes. It helped move the line much faster and there was little to no wait.
