$5 charge to park in their lot? Room smelled like deep fried fish oil. Waited 10 minutes to check out. No USB charge ports in room. Shower pressure very good but couldn't redirect shower head.

There were what appeared to be a significant amount of bodily fluid stains on the comforter, sticky streaks of some unknown substance on the bathroom floor, the tub did not drain as I showered, leaving me standing in my own dirty water, and to top it off, the elevator went out and I had to drag my luggage down 2 flights of stairs. I showed the room pics to 3 people. One told me to show them to the Manager in the morning. When i attempted to do that, the 2nd person said she would call her, then while she was on the phone a 3rd person came up and said she was off today and i could just call her when i returned home. I asked it they could take my number and have her call me, they said I should just call her the next day. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO TRACK HER DOWN!

I like how practical the hotel is. Wish there were free breakfast but they put the money in the right things, like full kitchen with pots and pans and full fridge. Parking only $5 (June 2023) and hotel staff very attentive. Bed is comfy. Room was clean and bright! Parking lot seemed new. 2 BBQ grills at the gazebo. Close to Six Flags. Has laundry and fitness center.

This was my first time at this hotel and I loved it. It was so cozy and relaxing. I can't believe that it's only a 2and a half star hotel. I would think at least a 4 star. The staff that I encounter with was really nice and professional. I was able to get my room under one hundred dollars for suite. I think this will be my go to spot when I stay over Waukegan.

Top of the line customer service, very professional. The room is super clean, with different types of pillows, and many of them. Little kitchenette for making small meals great to save some money eating out. Overall, it is highly recommended!

I was given one price and my card was charged another. I went to the front desk and they couldn’t even explain to me what the charges were for. They said they provided toiletries but the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash bottles in my room were empty. Their computer says one price was charged to my card but my account says another. Hopefully all people of color are checking there accounts after there stay. They are charging a “for being black” fee. I will definitely never be staying here again.

I stayed at Simply Sonesta this weekend to attend Naval graduation. I had the Queen suite. My room was very nice and clean. The guy that checked me in was friendly. Every staff member I encountered spoke to me and was friendly. The location of this hotel is a great location for the graduation “short cut route”. We never waited in the long line. Also the kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal. We went across the street to Walmart and picked up some grocery items for breakfast and lunch. There is an Aldi’s, Panda Express, Culver’s, Cane’s and a couple other places to eat and shop located in the same area. I really enjoyed my stay here and will use this hotel if I am back in the area.

Our stay for my sons graduation from Great Lakes was great. Here is my review: Pros: * the water pressure in the shower was great! * the area was super close to Great Lakes. * there were fast food options close by and a few places to sit down/get served to eat. * there was a Walmart very close lol. * the staff were nice and accommodating. * popcorn and candy were offered (for free). * the wifi was good. * the area felt safe to me. * the room was clean, the bed/pillows were comfy. There was a full refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, coffee pot, pans, pots, utensils, dish soap, dish rags, cups, microwave and a stove (small with 2 burners). Cons: * Never in my life have I ever stayed at any hotel that did not have a lobby for guest to congregate, talk etc. Considering that the location of the hotel is right near Great Lakes you would think that a lobby for guest to sit and talk with their new sailor but nope not here. * Not a huge con but there is no breakfast. Despite all the pros if I had to come back to the area I probably would not stay there again.

Horrible experience with owner/host who refused to be decent people after an accidental booking made at this location. Made an accidental booking at this location trying to find a place near where I was for the night, and immediately contacted them to cancel within minutes once I realized what happened but the host didn’t care and kept the full booking fee ($200!) even with the booking cancelled and no accommodation actually provided. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere and give your money to reasonable people. At the very least you won’t have to be scammed into paying $5 for parking.

Do not stay here, very out dated hotel. The staff are very rude, the beds are uncomfortable, there isn't a breakfast at all. The front desk told me I had to bring my dirty towels down and exchange them for clean ones, what? All night long we could hear people walking down the halls, very thin walls. Choose a better hotel.

Online pics are a lie… room wasn’t clean at check-in. Reddish brown looking splatter on walls to both sides of ac/heater. Black/yellow booger looking thing on the headboard. Grease spatter and fingerprints on the cabinets. Room was “cleaned” the next morning and found a tortilla strip chip on the floor by the bed. Clearly they don’t vacuum either. Gym equipment pics online are a lie. The nice looking weight machine isn’t even present, elliptical completely busted, 1 of 2 treadmills has a busted screen. Shares space with laundry room so when someone has the dryer on its hot as hades in there. Main entry floor boards and drywall is all busted up… best part about this place was leaving it. Made a 97 day reservation, found a new place within the week. Dont go here.

The room was beautiful! Perfect for girls' weekend in Libertyville. Staff was extremely nice and gave us any extras we needed. Kitchenette was super cute. Had sink, stovepipe, fridge/freezer, and even some pans and dishware. 👌🏽 Air control worked well. TV had decent channels. Bathroom very clean, hair dryer and shampoo/conditioner/body wash offered. Nice dresser and storage closet with iron/board. There was a gym and pets were allowed. Loved seeing all of the neighbors' dogs! ❤️ Only the drinks/snacks were a little pricey. Would reccomend bringing your own.

Dirty, smells of animal urine, no lobby,no pool,no hot tub, hair was in shower, bed was unmade, still waiting on my deposit, small coffee pot 1 room had a pot 1 didn't . No shugar or creamer in rooms.. staff talking a boutique where to get marjawana behind desk while we waited to check in... all-around bad experience
