Milwalky Taco is a hit or miss spot for those craving some Mexican-inspired street food. Unfortunately it was a miss for us. While the menu had a good variety of options, the food itself fell short of expectations. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. The tacos themselves are tasty, with a range of flavors One thing that's worth noting is that the prices are a bit on the high side for what you get. They’re small. The portion sizes for the other dishes are plentiful however. The chicken quesadilla was good and flavorful. The chilaquiles were okay. Good service. But overall it’s for sure going to be a hit or miss.

I am a 5 month pregnant mother, with a 3 year old boy with Autism. Yesterday (6/21/23) at about 7pm, I left in tears because I have never felt so discriminated against. Since my son will not eat anything out other than drive-thru chicken nuggets, I always have them in his tray at restaurants to eat (I keep him in the stroller). I break them up and put them in his tray before arriving. No bag or package is exposed. The host sat us, but this male server had an issue with my son eating outside food. This was very clear as he kept looking over at my son and stalled taking our order. The manager then came over and informed me that my son is not allowed to eat his nuggets, as they do not allow outside food. I explained to her that he is DIAGNOSED AUTISTIC and will only eat specific foods from specific places, which I told that same male server the last time we dined there a couple of weeks ago. (He served us that night, but didn't want to serve us yesterday). She then apologized and said she still could not allow it because it goes against health code violation. I couldn't make my son stop eating his food, so my eyes filled with tears and we got up. I then told her I will be writing a review, and then she begged us to stay. At that point, I felt extremely embarrassed, emotional, and just down right unwelcome. There was no way we could stay. I would understand if an adult were eating outside food in the establishment, because that is rude. But a 3 year old special needs child discretely eating cut up nuggets in HIS TRAY with no food labels anywhere to be seen, should not fall into that category. It is also very disheartening that I would need to defend myself and my 3 year old to this extent. I wish there were “zero” stars for this review.

The tacos here were good and not too pricey. However the price for chips were a bit much for what you got. I would suggest skipping the chips and just stick with tacos from here. The outdoor seating was very nice and great for when the sun is going down. The waitstaff was very nice and prompt to come to our table and check in. I may come back here in the future.

The presentation is Great, I give them credit for it but Tortilla is very small compare to the traditional tortilla; tortilla was cold, salsas weren’t the best, just tomatoes: taking in consideration that each taco is $5-7… And on top of that chips & salsa are extra $3. Customer Service was Good; super nice waitresses. It’s a nice, clean place… I understand the economy but definitely not worth the price, unless they improve their flavor.

One of the best tacos I’ve had. This is a nice spot in Libertyville and I always come here when I want some tacos. Their drinks can be a bit better.

My coworkers and I gave Milwalky Taco a try! She tried is before and we wanted to treat another one of my coworkers a late bday. Food: The quality of the food the flavor, and freshness really was amazing. I haven’t had anything this good in a while. I will say definitely get the tacos they are amazing! Service: Our waitress really was attentive and gave good recommendations to things we could try. Atmosphere: Or what I like to call ambiance was very welcoming and the colors and signage inside really was enjoyable to see. Overall, I would say MT was really a great experience and worth every penny you won’t regret it!

Had a work event here with 10 colleagues. Great table with several areas for larger groups. Excellent choice of tacos: meat, vegetarian, vegan. Super fresh quality at a really reasonable price.

After coming here for some time, I wish I could give 5 stars but the food consistency is not quite there. Some items are the menu are better skipped… I can highly recommend the fried avocado taco, walking taco, and homemade churros. Taco salad and drinks have not disappointed. Definitely come with an appetite, good portions and filling!

Tacos were small but flavorful! The drinks and salsa were my faves so that’s definitely a must! Not authentic but nonetheless very good. Loved the decor!

Excellent restaurant! The chips and two kinds of salsa was the best I've ever had! Huge selection of various tacos and everything was delicious! The freshly brewed fruit tea and the milky cinnamon drink was so tasty! I highly recommend this restaurant! One of the best in the area and the outdoor seating space was wonderful!!

So many tacos, so little time. We had the egg roll appetizer and two tacos each and there was plenty of food. I had the salmon and kimchi tacos. Both are incredibly flavorful!

The atmosphere was great and the servers were kind. I got the quesadillas the portions were great but food was bland to me and was making it hard to enjoy. Even at home.

Milwalky Taco offers a charming destination for Mexican cuisine enthusiasts. The service provided here is great, warranting a solid 9/10 rating. The culinary offerings are undeniably superb, leaving me with a strong recommendation for this establishment. Their taco selection is a revelation of flavor, with delightful options such as guacamole, shrimp, salmon, and mushroom tacos, all reasonably priced. However, the chips seemed a bit costly relative to the portion size, prompting my suggestion to concentrate on the tantalizing tacos. The outdoor seating is particularly enchanting, ideal for savoring the sunset. The attentive and amiable waitstaff adds to the overall appeal. While the tacos showcase a unique, LA street taco style, they miss that elusive spark of greatness. The fried avocado taco could benefit from more crunch and heat, and the shrimp taco, was generous and was packed with flavor. Milwalky Taco remains a premier destination for delectable tacos in Libertyville.
