Had a wonderful time this evening with my two daughters. Our waitress was really friendly, nothing was to much for her, thank you. The food was also delicious. we will definitely be going again.

SUNDAY LUNCH I hope you take my feedback seriously because it’s not terribly positive. We both ordered drinks and Sunday lunch. The food eventually arrived after quite a wait, but the vegetables were cold and the potatoes were dried out and not proper roasters. The Yorkshire pudding was okay but I suspect they’re not homemade. You forgot to put stuffing on our plates and I had to ask for it. When it arrived there was only one portion that we ended up sharing because it was becoming embarrassing chasing everything. Our drinks arrived half way through our meal and that was only because I reminded the waitress. When she delivered the drinks she informed us that the bar had lost our ticket?? I was so very disappointed with our visit because we have joined you previously for Saturday brunch and that was fabulous and worth the money. We’ve also been during evening tea times and the food has been great but I don’t think your chef is experienced enough with so many covers for Sunday lunch. I honestly didn’t want to pay my bill but I also didn’t want to make a fuss when the place was so busy. On reflection, I wish I had because there isn’t ANYWHERE that makes a decent Sunday roast dinner - I really thought you would have nailed it. I would consider Saturday brunch again but I’m not tempted for Sundays anymore. On a final note…. If you can’t keep you screaming children quite… don’t bring them out, please!

We’ve always drove past this place but decided to drop in today for breakfast. We was greeted by a very attentive young man so I can’t give any less than 5 stars for service. The food was spot on and well worth the money. Will definitely return here to try the Lunch time menu.

Absolutely fantastic food and service every time we visit. We came for New Years and the menu was delicious, great service and we loved the entertainment. Staff are always really friendly and professional and we can’t wait to return

Stopped here for lunch on Valentines day. No booking but friendly staff ensured we got a table and looked after us throughout. It's big so the atmosphere was a bit hard to judge but food was perfectly fine and the prosecco was nice. The real ale choice pleased my partner - all in all positive.

An excellent menu that had delicious food and plenty of options. The lamb duo was exceptional. The cheese board for dessert was perfect. A charming pub outside of Lichfield.

Had the absolute pleasure of eating lunch here today. It's a beautiful pub and the service we received was exemplary. The lady who greeted us was so cheerful and welcoming (I'm sorry I can't remember your name but I think your middle name was Mary)! All of the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and to meet our every need. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with smiles! Our main sever Katie was warm and cheerful and made our experience all the more enjoyable. The food was delicious too and very reasonably priced for the large portions! I had the roast pork and my husband had the vegan burger. My food especially was amazing - one of the best roasts I've ever had (and I've had a lot)! We only popped out for lunch as I had the Sunday blues and it really lifted my spirits. Thank you all so much for going above and beyond to provide such lovely service. We will be back again soon 😁

The waitress who served us was warm and friendly and described the specials (different to what the front of house had described). One of the Items on the menu wasn’t available. Meals were fine - not amazing but fine. Bit pricey for the portion size. Chips were cold, replacements received quickly. Children enjoyed their meals. Drinks expensive £15 for two wine spritzers! £7.50 puddings put us off all ordering. The hedgehog food and atmosphere has declined, we felt it last time we attended and felt the same on this visit sadly. We won’t be returning.

Lovely atmosphere and food was very tasty. Bloody mary salmon fishcakes, fish and chips, brownie and orange & vanilla creme brulee. Definitely visit again

Tasty food, cozy place and lovely staff! We arrived 30min earlier but they didn't make us wait for the table, the food was ready pretty quick too and it was delicious!

Went for dinner on return from holiday on Sunday and had a superb meal. The new decor created a lovely atmosphere and the food was delicious and very well cooked. Staff were attentive, pleasant and helpful. Well done Hedgehog!

Ok, lovely place to have a breakfast with the family, including two grand children, lads under the age of two. Breakfast was average, suspect the the food had been cooked in advance of an order, it was all a little dry, fried egg was hard, could be better but would go again.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Service and quality of the food served.The last time I came here was at least 6 years ago and was not impressed. Completely changed the lady looking after the Service was excellent and food was equally as good and it was very busy.Well done such a vibrant place.

Went for a meal found Hair not once but twice wrapped round my lamb skewer and then found a bit of blue plastic my coleslaw manager refunded my food but didn’t care how it had spoiled a meal out and was not interested in making our experience any better. Unfortunately they took the evidence away very quickly and I forgot to take photos I suppose I was shocked about the situation.

We spent two evenings at the hedgehog. Our room was lovely clean and welcoming. We had food for 12 people pre a Saturday wedding. The service was excellent and food was delicious. Our waitress was amazing, helpful and lots of patience. She was very informative when answering our question. We will definately recommend your establishment to our friends be for food or a stay. Thankyou for making our weekend perfect.

It's a friendly neighbourhood pub. It's attached to a hotel which is a blessing and a curse. There was a lovely event going on but they still made room for walk ins. Order through an app. The brisket burger was underwhelming. But I'd still come back and give it another chance. Also, it is close to public transit and has oodles of parking.

Lovely setting and building. Service good but food slightly disappointing. I had a chicken, bacon and brie pie but it didn't taste of anything. The chicken was perfect cubes and solid. It was also unpleasantly hot in the restaurant. We finished our food then sat in the beautiful garden for drinks.

Arrived with family for my birthday brunch today. As soon as you drive in it feels like a magical kingdom, the atmosphere, the music and the scenery were lovely. Quick and lovely service and the staff were very welcoming and patient. Food was demolished off of the plate. All in all a 10star place and restaurant will definitely be going back !

Came in for dinner the other night. Food was incredible and the service throughout my visit from all of the team was superb . Tilly our server was very attentive and helped us with any questions we had and made our visit easy and enjoyable. Thank you all, I will definitely be returning.

We arrived at almost 2pm. Our stay is £96 for one night. It’s now 2.30 and having waited at the area to be checked in no one came. So we ordered a drink first. We tried again to book in and were led to a booking in area. It seems all staff have certain jobs but are too busy to attend promptly. We have been travelling for 4 hours and needed to go to our room. The staff are unfriendly and impatient, to my husband who has speech problems. I would like a call from the manager. I lived in Lichfield for 20 years before this last takeover. Customer service needs reviewing drastically,

The restaurant was welcoming with a great log fire it was clean and staff were attentive. We had a great table near to the fire (bliss). The meal was tasty and well presented and due to the 50% off a huge bonus, well done all at the hedgehog you are a great team.

The perfect spontaneous Sunday lunch. Booked on the drive over there, and was greeted with a warm friendly welcome by Barry. The beef was recommended to us and was absolutely fantastic. All the sides were homemade and made the dish a 10/10. Service from Barry was delightful, friendly, helpful and at just the right pace; not slow and not too quick. We were also told about the app to receive rewards.. amazing! We’ll definitely be back, with the dog next time as it was a super dog friendly pub :-) Thanks for a great experience, Stacey & Dave x

Thoroughly enjoyable visit. Excellent service by a friendly waitress who was welcoming, helpful and humorous. The meals we chose were very enjoyable too. Clean, comfortable eating area, well-maintained loos. For the benefit of drivers approaching The Hedgehog from the road opposite your exit - so being confronted with the No Entry signs - it would be helpful if you installed a sign directing them to the entrance: they need to turn left. I guessed wrong and turned right and had to find somewhere to turn around, come back and look for the entrance myself.

Stayed for 1 night after attending a family party. Lovely grounds and building, Food was very good. We ate before the parry and at breakfast. Rooms were beautifully appointed but oppressively hot. Even with a fan it was like sleeping in a sauna. I understand that it has been hot lately and rooms heat up but the radiator blasting put heat in the corridor didn't help. I would stay again but perhaps in the winter!

Our server was brilliant very helpful and friendly, the starter really tasty but abit expensive for what you get almost £20, my husband enjoyed his pork belly but my steal wasn't great for a Ribeye it was very tough and overcooked and the chips were undercooked almost still hard like frozen undercooked chips, the side of garlic prawns were beautifulhowever, I would go again but definitely avoid the steak.

Another fabulous breakfast catch up with a friend. Very tasty cooked to our own requirements. Katie our server was warm friendly and professional ensuring we were looked after. A great asset to The Hedgehog. More importantly we were not rushed to leave the table which was the icing on the cake.

We booked (wisely, it turned out) and enjoyed a lunchtime meal to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. Our table was in the main part of the restaurant but it wasn't too noisy and we were able to chat. Service was a little slow, but we weren't in a hurry, although it was clearly a problem for a nearby family. The food was of the high standard that we have come to expect over the years. All in all, we had a good experience and will continue to visit for meals when we can find reason to do so.

My review skipped to the next place I ate. I do not have an issue with the hedge hog, in fact being my local I love it. It's withing walking distance. And loverly in summer. We would of been there yesterday but were too late in booking. Highly recommended.

Our booking was 12.30 Initially we were shown to our table by a man, we were pleased we had a six seat table and we initially were a 4 party, I asked the gentleman to leave the extra chairs and cutlery as we hoped our other 2 party members would make it. This came across from the man as a bit of an issue and whilst he didn’t actually say it, he definitely gave me the impression he was not happy ! I felt panicked as we were told we only had the table until 2pm by now it was 1.15pm the starters only then arrived That was 45 minutes wait, the mains arrived shortly after We had to use the same cutlery for starters and mains. We had dessert and coffee and even though nothing was said about the 2pm deadline and we left at 3pm we all felt a bit like we had to rush. All in all, the food excellent our server she was nice, Just the speed of food and the deadline for table occupancy needs addressing.

Delicious breakfast and a beautiful gastropub in Lichfield. There's ample parking and their Menu is made of good quality ingredients.

My daughter and I had an excellent lunch yesterday at The Hedgehog. We were served efficiently and promptly by Katie. The food was of high quality, very tasty and imaginatively presented. I had tasty fish finger wrap and blackcurrant and vanilla sorbet. My daughter had root vegetable wrap and white chocolate and raspberry wrap. We will return soon. Thank you Katie and all the staff.

High quality dining with a good use of seasonal ingredients that supports a varied English menu. Borrowed touches from France to some of the dishes adds a touch of class. Staff attentive, friendly and good knowledge of the menu. Safe bet if you want a pleasant and tranquil meal out.

Always a friendly welcome. Haven't eaten here for a while, but last time we did it was divine. The building and decorations are all very tasteful and like I say, a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Called in today for a "pick me up" hot drink, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We found a wonderful nook under the grapevines, very pretty and relaxing 💖🦔
