Besutiful place, maybe not worth the price you pay, but it’s okay for one time visit. Beautiful view

Very cool sculptures, indoors and (mostly) outdoors. A lot of stairs to go up and down. Take your time, take in the atmosphere. Don’t miss the opportunity to go into the home. The experience is somewhat whether depending. It’s a 5 - 10 minutes walk from Torsvikstorg (no need to wait for the bus).

One of my favorite places around Stockholm. Easy to reach by public transport with a beautiful location. I love the gardens and the artist workshop. The yearly ticket is definitely worth the money (275sek).

Millesgården and it's open museum is a very recommended visit if you have spare time in Stockholm. Located in the island of Lidingö with amazing views of the lake, getting there is not easy or quick, but well worth it if you have the time. 150sek per entrance and adult are well invested if you enjoy some peace and quiet through sculptures and garden harmony.

Absolute gem in Stockholm. It's a must visit whether you're a tourist or local. 170 kr ticket price and it's definitely worth every penny. Has a nice restaurant as well.

Definitely one of my favourites, nice atmosphere and sculptures, good exhibition of inspiration by the textile artist Kaffe, when we were there. Small department for buying gifts or for yourself. There is a restaurant with perfectly prepared food, incl. coffee and accessories. Highly recommended all seasons.

Anyone interested in arts from the 20th century coming to Stockholm should visit Millesgården on the island of Lidingö. There are a number of ways getting there, be that by boat, bicycle, bus or car. We cycled there from our hotel on Gärdet and returned by the SL boat from Ropsten to Nybrokajen. Millesgården is a peaceful heaven, devoted to the sculptures by Carl Milles dating from the early to the middle part of the 1900's. The view from the terraced garden over the water towards the harbour of Stockholm is grandiose. There was a separate exhibition featuring the famous Austrian fashion and later portrait and societal photographer Dora Kallmus, atelier d'Ora, that was just fabulous. This exhibition alone merits a visit to the Milles garden.

Beautiful place, worth visiting in spring or summer, but even in autumn it was very pleasant. You can take a ferry and then bus, to make it even better trip

Of course it is a place worth visiting. However, I think that the best time to visit the gardens, when everything is in bloom, will be summer. There is a restaurant on site with good food, including coffee, snacks and cakes. Additionally, we visit the House of the artist Carl Milles. Inside there is a collection of antiques and sculptures.

I would say this is our favorite spot in Stockholm over our weekend trip. We came in right before the sunset and the views in the garden were amazing. It's a magical realm where the artist Milles and his wife made their fantasies into reality as well as their forever resting place. Location-wise, it's a bit out of the way from central Stockholm but definitely worth the time and effort.

One of our favorite in STLM. Amazing place, spectacular viewing from top, you will enjoy the sea, the port , the city and the nature in a whole 360 grad ankle. Different styles could be found in the corners of this open museum. Sculptures, stairs, banks and all plants make this place a wonderful Must-Visit. Both in- and outside parts are attractive in design and decorating. Also a lovely cafe next to the garden. Parking in the weekend is quite hard even the museum offers public parking slots directly against the entrance.

Beautiful is not enough for this place. Highly recommend. It contains a couple of houses with lots of statues and sculptures with great interior design from time period.

Open only until 17:00, the view would be much nicer at the sunset hours, or at least after 19:00.

One of the most special museums I have visited! A combination of art gallery, sculptures, statues and the artist’s home. At the time of our visit, there was also a gingerbread house exhibition, showcasing some really magnificent exhibits all the way from Poland! Can’t miss this place if you love art and sculptures!

Millesgarden is one of the most beautiful places in Stockholm, the genius of Carl Milles is here represented in an amazing theatrical terrace on the water. Exhibitions are always of great quality. Don't miss this place!

I didn'n expect that this place as large as it has. Looks like a normal house from The outside, but you will find it large enough. There are statues, story, pictures, history about The artis, gårdens and ponds. The most interesting is that you can enjoy be beauty of The water view from above.

i just think people should go here once per month to refresh and restart. i would do that if i live in stockholm. the entrance fee is like another museum around 170 kr. they have temporary and permanent exhibitions. the permanent one shows about the artist’s studio and residence. the landscape of the place is really well designed, the chosen species of trees really enhances the poetic of the space. the view is also amazing especially in the sunset hour.

Millesgården Museum makes for a great afternoon out. You can walk to the grounds from Ropsten or take the tram across the Gamla Lidingöbron to Lidingö Torsvik Station to shorten the walk a bit. Of course, there's also a direct bus from Ropsten if you don't feel like walking and there is ample parking at the museum, too, if you're arriving by car. Once there, you can explore the outside areas for free or pay a little and also explore the museum inside. The cafe makes for a pleasant rest stop - the food's tasty and the view over the garden and the water is stunning. While the indoor areas and the cafe are mostly fully accessible, the outdoor areas aren't, because there are many steps, terraces, and stairs.
