Luxurious opera building. Excellent acoustics, even if you don’t like opera, it’s worth visiting at least once. Very friendly staff.

Nice place to go near riverside n it's centre of City

Très bel opéra avec une bonne acoustique. Vestiaire efficace sur plusieurs étages, mais vous pouvez également utiliser des casiers (prévoir 1 euro). Accueil très sympathique. Le texte chanté apparaît sur un écran en quatre langues. Ce qui est bien, c'est que les décors ne sont pas aussi uniformes qu'à l'OBV ou à De Munt. Parfois, ce sont des décors merveilleux qui reflètent l'époque à laquelle l'opéra a été écrit, parfois ils optent pour le "tout blanc" plus tendance et parfois c'est carrément une merveille créative et technique. Les présentations commencent régulièrement trop tard, il faut donc se précipiter pour arriver à temps à sa place. Attention lors de votre réservation : les places pas chères "avec vue limitée" sont en réalité des places d'écoute, vous voyez 1/10ème de la scène. Très bien pour un concert, pas idéal pour un opéra, sauf peut-être pour les malvoyants ou pour les personnes qui viennent principalement pour la musique. Le casting est magnifique, l'orchestre parfait, et quelles belles voix ! Heel mooie opera met goede akoestiek. Efficiënte vestiaire op meerdere verdiepingen, maar je kan ook lockers gebruiken (zorg dat je 1 euro hebt). Zeer vriendelijk onthaal. De gezongen tekst verschijnt in vier talen op een scherm. Het fijne is dat de decors niet zo' n eenheidsworst zijn als bij OBV of De Munt. Soms zijn het zalige decors die de tijd weerspiegelen waarin de opera geschreven werd, soms gaat men voor het meer trendy "alles wit" en soms is het ronduit een creatief en technisch wonder. De inleidingen beginnen geregeld te laat, dus dan is het haasten om tijdig op je plaats te zijn. Let op als je boekt: de goedkope plaatsen "met beperkt zicht" zijn eigenlijk luisterplaatsen, je ziet het podium voor 1/10de. Voor een concert prima, voor een opera niet ideaal behalve misschien voor sterk visueel gehandicapten of voor mensen die vooral voor de muziek komen. De casting is schitterend, het orkest perfect, en wat een prachtige stemmen! Sehr schöne Oper mit guter Akustik. Effiziente Garderobe auf mehreren Etagen, Sie können aber auch Schließfächer nutzen (stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie 1 Euro haben). Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Der gesungene Text erscheint in vier Sprachen auf einem Bildschirm. Das Schöne ist, dass die Sets nicht so einheitlich sind wie bei OBV oder De Munt. Manchmal sind es glückselige Bühnenbilder, die die Zeit widerspiegeln, in der die Oper geschrieben wurde, manchmal entscheiden sie sich für das trendigere „ganz in Weiß“ und manchmal ist es geradezu ein kreatives und technisches Wunderwerk. Die Einführungen beginnen regelmäßig zu spät, sodass Sie sich beeilen müssen, um rechtzeitig an Ihrem Platz zu sein. Bitte beachten Sie bei der Buchung: Bei den günstigen Plätzen „mit eingeschränkter Sicht“ handelt es sich eigentlich um Hörplätze, Sie sehen 1/10 der Bühne. Für ein Konzert in Ordnung, für eine Oper nicht ideal, außer vielleicht für Sehbehinderte oder für Leute, die hauptsächlich wegen der Musik kommen. Die Besetzung ist wunderschön, das Orchester perfekt und was für wunderschöne Stimmen!

At the Royal opera you can enjoy classical music and Opera. Ticket office is very helpful to sort things out. There is a restaurant and bar if you wish to add a nice meal or a drink to your evening.

Ein schönes altes Opernhaus. Wer Interesse an Oper hat sollte eine Vorstellung besuchen. Wir haben," Gespräche der Karmeliterinnen" erlebt. Beeinduckend. Es ist ein altes Gebäude, was man auch an der Bequemlichkeit der Sitze und unzureichenden Belüftung merkt.

Beautiful venue and amazing sound.

The performance itself was great but do not get a seat in the front row of one of the side balconies. They have almost no parapets to speak of and I found it terrifying to sit close to the edge. In addition, these balconies are separated by walls which block the view onto the stage...

Magnicant performance of Tales of Hoffman. All the main characters were sang with panache. Erwin Schrott fabulously played the devil with malicious intent his partner in crime Jessica Pratt and player of all Hoffman ladies. Miss Pratt is perfect but her colarature sublime.

Easy to access by car or on foot, nice interior decoration what you expect from a Opera place. Another helpful thing was that it has a display board for subtitles in french, flemish and german

Easy for parking. Not as prestigious like Sofia opera and Ballet or Royal Opera House London... But nice inside decoration and stage. acoustic regular when we attend avant première in the parterre ... probably needed arrangement for sound.

Such a shame, that visiting the opera it’s possible only after a reservation. What should I say, if I’ll look the pictures, I guess it’s beautiful, but only two stars, because from outside - nothing special. So, if you wanna visit the opera, make a reservation, don’t drive to for nothing like me

The Opera is nice, friendly staff, nice view from the first balcony. I would give more stars but... Unfortunately the building is located in a horrible neighborhood. Feels very unsafe, I would not be walking here on my own. Now that I know the area I probably won't be returning here any time soon.

Very nice monument in the center of the city! The inside is as beautiful as seen from outside. There is also a great view from the Opera over the city.

One of the landmarks in Liege, Belgium the "Royal Opera of Wallonia" an opera house located on the Place de l'Opéra, in Liège, Belgium.

We spontaniously bought tickets for an inexpensive price and were completely blown by the performance, the helpfull staff and the magnificent architecture of the opera.

the hall is excellent, but dragging the equipment into the hall is crazy.

The quality of the operas here is amazing and the prices go from very cheap to very expensive, fitting any pocket. However, take care with the "partial vision" places. Actually, they can be really uncomfortable for getting any view of the stage, especially when you are on the side. If you can, choose places at the stage level and frontal. It is better to buy in advance and check for discounts (or even free events).

Interesting, but only one wish all over: Return to Holland, Maastricht. Quick as you can!
