Boring

It is hard to vote for this sad place and ironically I have to give it five stars. What is interesting is that soviet memorial next to it. Really sad moment in history reminding us how easy one human turns to another. The families town apart. Not only Jews but also Estonian, Latvians and Lithuanians. So many people lost their families because of no rel reason. Just because they were in wrong place in wrong time.

Interesting historic place at the site of mass executions. Unfortunately the gravel is quite deep, so going there by bike or wheelchair is a problem, and additionally next to it is a wastewater treatment plant, which stinks.

When you consider the history of this place and the horrors perpetrated on the population of Liepaja (as well as those from elsewhere brought to this site) it is hard not to feel utterly drained emotionally by the tragedy that was exacted here. A beautiful monument to the victims of persecution, and those who fell trying to save them. Come and pay silent respect and reflect.
