😠 Do not eat here, the food is bland, the portions are very small, and the service not very good. We shared a dish of Chicken Desi, since the waiter said that the dishes were large enough to share. Not so. The dish consisted of two small chicken drumsticks, with a lot of sauce, served with white rice... One of the finest Indian restaurants in Lima. The owner mentioned that the restaurant was recently relocated to the new place. It seems like a residential property was converted to the restaurant. The conversion done very well to keep the place spacious yet providing some privacy as needed. The bar had a nice outdoor set up. The location of the restaurant is great, not too far from happenning places including Kenedy Park. We ordered a few starters.. kabab was flavorful, juicy and soft. Vegetable manchurian was perfect- semi dry, with crispy- crunchy vege balls. For main course, laal maas and chapati were the best. Yellow dal was tasty as well. The dinner was concluded with hot gulab jamun!! It was a very satisfying meal. A highly recommended place.

If you’re a vegetarian, this restaurant has a plentiful amount of choices. I had the Chana Masala, which is a chickpea dish with an herb sauce and rice. The quality was superb. The menu is in English and Spanish. The staff was friendlyuu and attentive. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. I included a photo of the artwork on the back of the building.

Worst experience eating Indian food. Coming from an India, even if you are craving home food, please do not come here. Waited over 1.5hrs for food. Mango lassi was the worst mango lassi I’ve had (did not taste like mango, maybe they used a powder?). Rice is not basmati and heaving undercooked. Naan was TERRIBLE - it was made fresh but had a weird flavor, maybe it was the butter they added on top but I couldn’t eat it with the curry I ordered!!! What a waste. Literally ate 10% of the food we ordered bc it was so bad!!!! Also it’s pricey and customer service is non existent.

Do not eat here, the food is bland, the portions are very small, and the service not very good. We shared a dish of Chicken Desi, since the waiter said that the dishes were large enough to share. Not so. The dish consisted of two small chicken drumsticks, with a lot of sauce, served with white rice, certainly not enough to share. We also ordered a side dish of potatoes, and Naan bread. The naan bread consisted of 4 small pieces for which they charged 7 Soles. I also asked for some hot sauce which was necessary to add some flavor to the food. When I received the bill I was shocked. Our waiter did not inform that the side dish of potatoes that we ordered cost 34 Soles, and they also charged for the hot sauce. I asked to speak with the owner or manager, and he was very apologetic, but did NOTHING, NADA, ZERO. I continued to express my displeasure and eventually he deducted a total of 8 Soles from the bill. In total I was charged 75 Soles for a bad meal (1 entree, a side dish and some bread), and equally bad service. We walked out hungry and quite upset. I've been to Lima several times and this is by far the worst restaurant experience that I've had.

This indian restaurant in Lima located in a Miraflores close to Larcomar and Kennedy park in a good neighbourhood. The restaurant has good ambience. Food was good but recommend a quicker service. The rest rooms are in the same area as dining and makes it uncomfortable when people move in and out of the restroom . Terrace has good dining area .

The food and service here is wonderful. I ordered Chana Masala and Vegetable Biryani. I ate every last bite! It was perfectly seasoned and so delicious!

One of the worst Indians I have ever had. Not sure if the chef is confused with his spices but it doesn’t even taste like Indian food. The masala was tasteless, probably the worst masala I have tried. The Samosa batter was so dark the oil clearly hasn’t been changed since the restaurant started. The garlic naan bread didn’t even have garlic on it, tasted like cardboard and nearly broke my front teeth. Honestly don’t waste your time here, it isn’t real Indian food, if you have ever had a real authentic Indian meal you will be severely disappointed in this place.

The food was delicious, and arrived hot! The place was empty when we went in, which was not a good feel especially when no host greeted us or staff greeted us. The service took forever and there were no menus you had to use the QR code to see the menu! Only rating it so high because the food was delicious and allowed me to overlook the service issues!

I've been twice to Mantra, and the food is alright. If you've had Indian food in the UK, then it's a bit similar but not as tasty. Last time I ordered the lamb tikka masala, which is not enough for the quantity paid and powder curry that you can make at home is way better. I also ordered the chicken korma , which I believe had no chicken and instead the waiter brought some vegan alternative which had a very plain taste. I didn't send it back because it took a long time to get the food and I was starving. I ordered 1 rice serving thinking it would be enough, but luckily the waiter made a mistake and brought 2. On the other hand, the naan breads are really nice and you can't eat enough of them. And drinks are fine, I like that they use the environmentaly friendly straws. The place has many Indian paintings, but the ceiling is a bit weird. The music is nice and is not very loud, so you can enjoy a nice chat with whomever is with you. It is definitely one of the best Indian restaurants in Peru, but outside of the country it is pretty disappointing. If you go, try to go just when it opens to avoid the madness. It gets pretty packed, I think that's why they confused my order. I feel really sorry and envious for the vegan who got my chicken.

A must visit during your visit to Lima, Miraflores. The vibe of this place is awesome. The food is a refreshing change especially if you are a vegetarian. The owners and the staff are very kind and polite. Try the masala chai and samosa 😁 Two thumbs up.

Shamefully, I will admit that my boyfriend and I order from here at least twice a week. They never cease to amaze us every time we order! Our favorite menu items include the chicken vindaloo, tikka masala, and chicken biryani (the best one, in my opinion). Whether you're a foreigner or from the area, definitely give this place a try. It's been my comfort food these past few weeks.

One sentence describes this place. Expensive, sub par food and pathetic service. We were party of 10, and spent 3 hours to complete our lunch which became a dinner. Other than chicken Kabobs, everything was below average. Naans took for ever to come. Just tea alone tool 1/2 hour. Cost us over 125 Sol each for food that went to waste.

As we are in Peru for few days , we decided to try as many as Indian restaurants in the town including Mantra . We ordered , ravva fish , daal , plain rice , jeera rice and cheese naan . Fish was very tasty and cooked to perfection . Cheese naan was good , daal was okay , rice is not fully cooked and so is jeera rice very grainy .. waiter was good , gave us few tips on what to watch out during our upcoming Cusco trip & what needs to be tried during Peru visit . I recommend this place for anyone trying for authentic Indian food

The service is sub par and too slow. It's as if they don't want to serve customers.. The food tastes bland and terrible. The roti is one of the worst I've ever eaten. If you visit Lima and looking for an Indian Restaurant - - definitely skip this one and go somewhere else. Overrated. And expensive.

Excellent and tasty. They have a vegetarian lunch menue with many choices that can be adapted to vegan available until 4pm and only 28 soles. Or a la carte. Mine and the kids' favorite is vegetarian Paneer Butter Masala.

Amazing food! We tried 2 dishes and they were both excellent. Great service too! The only criticism I would make is about the frozen dessert with pistachio and cinammon (I forgot the name), it doesn't look like the picture at all and is pretty underwhelming. But Indian cuisine has never been famous for its desserts I guess.

Seemed like Indian in name only. The food is an attempt at Indian food. We had chicken biryani but it's tasteless chicken fried rice at best. Spices, look were not even close to authentic Indian chicken biryani. But the staff were good.

Best Indian we’ve had in a long while! Sure beats a lot of restaurants in the UK! We were blown away by the quality, taste and freshness of all our dishes! We got the chicken tikka masala and the sagg aloo, highly recommend both!

The food was good overall. It’s hard to find good Indian food and it was better than I expected. The service however is extremely slow. It took 30 min for them to just take our order and then another 35min for the food to come out (the restaurant wasn’t crowded ). Be ready for the wait if you decide to go here!

We were here for a visit to Lima and were craving for Indian food , so ordered Palak panner, jeera rice and Tawa paratha. Food was delicious 🤤 and served hot even for the delivery and the only observation is for Palak panner being little too oily. The delivery service was great and quick as expected.
