A cozy little town. There are many attractions. Churches, castles, waterfalls, museums. Cozy streets, cafes, restaurants, flowers. Excellent Riesling Wines. It offers a great view of the Saar River and surrounding settlements, vineyards.

Lovely town not far from Trier with so much to see. We saw the castle remains, waterfall and chapel. The people were friendly and the shops are nice with good prices. It is definitely worth the drive.

A beautiful town, situated on the river Saar, with vineyards on the steep sides of the valley. Very picturesque, and with a castle, waterfall in the town centre, and an old bell foundry. There are lots of good walking trails around too.

Nice small village. Not enough to see or do for a day trip, but enough for half a day.

Was a nice village to visit, enough restaurants! With many different options to choose from!

Tiny village, not worth going, especially if you're disabled (no wheelchair accessible accommodation or restaurants). Bars close early. Non-existent public transport system within village itself. A lot of the local places only take cash, not cards so be prepared to walk around with a wad of cash. Best time to go is summer. Avoid any time before May and after September. It's very cold and humid. Waterfall is nice.

Lovelytown to visit. Also great to visit with lottle children, as the town isn't that big. Fun to walk through, nice waterfall, churches and vantage points

Stopped here randomly enroute from Trier, very glad we did! Lots of local wine and beautiful sights. We will be returning!

BEAUTIFUL!!! Totally underrated town of Saarland. Surrounded with vineyards, the waterfall in the middle of the town and a vibrant square with bars and cafes. Definitely worth a visit

This small town in Germany (population 7000) is an absolute gem. So far off the beaten path that none of our German friends had heard of it, Saarburg is untouristed so there are no hordes of people following a guide holding an umbrella on a bright, sunny day. You can see everything in a few hours, but we went back for several days, content to wander the narrow streets of the old town and to take a boat ride on the River Saar. All the people we encountered were friendly and welcoming.

Before visiting the castle I read about its history and foundation. It was very interesting. I knew that its length was not going to impress me, but as a good woman obsessed with castles, I was not going to let it go just because of that. The castle is open to the public and has a single tower that is accessible. The view from there is magnificent. I was surprised to see that there was a restaurant next door, which unfortunately was closed. Of course I will return to taste the dishes of the place.

Beautiful small town, pretty waterfalls to look at, a chair lift to the top of a hill and a nearby bird garden, with daily raptor flying shows. A ruined castle with a tower to be climbed up is another attraction along with the Saar River.

👍 Fun little apline coaster! I have been to alpine coasters that were much longer and faster, however this one is perfect for kids. We paid 2.50€ per everyone who rode alone but reading the comments now, I wish I knew about the 10 ride card. My kids went on multiple times and enjoyed it. You can take...

😠 Unbelievable! This is a real waste of money. The animals are beautiful at all but the things around it(their cages were really small, it was really messy everywhere, the animal cages were almost collapsing, small park...)were horrifying. The show was even the worst. It was short and ''everyone'' cou...
