Hands down some of the best coffee you can get. Baristas really know their stuff and for some reason all of the drinks are crazy cheap for limerick, even the large ones. The cost definitely does not mirror the quality though, an amazing cup every time I've been to this lovely and tiny coffee shop. They also have a loyalty scheme where your stamps equal a meal for those less fortunate or something similar. There's a student discount AND a discount for using reusable cups. They also have a range of vegan and gluten free snacks as well as a choice of non gluten free/vegan. They have a plethora of plant based milks available for no extra charge whereas some places in town charge you 50c extra. There is a lovely little seating area downstairs in the potato market with lots of flowers and trees around that's under cover from rain + wind. All of the staff are really friendly and I honestly don't understand how they can charge so little for such great coffee! Can't recommend this hidden gem enough!

After reading such positive reviews we were disappointed with the coffee. Staff were friendly, but couldn’t describe the flavour profile of the two bean varieties they had on offer. Finished product was far from outstanding. Maybe this is “specialty coffee” by Limerick’s definition, but not by international standards.

Best coffee in town / county / province / country and some of the nicest people you will ever meet working behind the counter. I've been dropping in here daily for the best part of three years now and have yet to find a single issue. 10/10

Lovely little find. Cozy coffee shop with an amazing coffee aroma that resonates all over the place. Coffee also tasted really nice. Amazing freshly baked cakes. More than recommend and will definitely pop in for a coffee when back in Limerick.

Lads, this is simply Limerick's best coffee shop bar none. In a very unique location, with staff who clearly know their coffee and have great chat to boot. Not once have I gotten a bad coffee in my years of going here. Long may it continue

My favourite coffee in Limerick so far!! Nice little shop with coffee accessories for sale. I wish I noticed the place earlier, it's easy to miss. There covered outdoor seating with plenty of space in a quiet enough area. Really decently drinks priced and they offer a range of dairy free milk options!

Love the coffee and chai lattes, loads of seasonal varieties are available as well. Always such a lovely selection of treats as well. Prices are very reasonable and no extra charge for alternative milks is a great plus. Absolute favourite spot to meet friends for a catch up! Perfect location, can to grab a coffee to do the 3 bridges walk or stay cozy in the courtyard with the solar heated bench.

My favorite place to grab a coffee to grab a coffee to go. They have an adorable seating area below the shop! If you bring a reusable cup, they’ll give a discount. They have a large selection of syrups as well.

Tiny Café on the edge of the Matthew Bridge crossing the Shannon. Great spot to grab a coffee (or a chai or a hot chocolate.) They roast the coffee beans they use in the cafe themselves. Below the cafe, next to the parking spot at the potato market, they have outside seating under the bridge with blankets and pillows. It can get packed during school break times and lunch, as well as in the morning, but that's just a testament on how good the coffee is.

Where to start oh where to start. Let's go. I love coming here for my caffeine fix. It's a small coffee house with a big personality. Them team here are amazing. I can honestly say I have never received a bad coffee off anybody here. Also if you got a sweet tooth they also have locally produced goodies for sale. If you are looking for a great coffee with great service then Abbey River Coffee is the place for you.
