If I could rate it higher I would! My aunt and I stopped in for lunch today. The owners were so sweet and friendly, we didn’t even have to order. I had told the gentleman we wanted lunch. He asked if we like fish. When we said yes he just started cooking. We had cod and hake that were perfectly cooked accompanied by yummy fried fingerling potatoes, slaw and salad.

Delicious seafood, and the owners could not be nicer! I sat at a nice table near the counter and Brian greeted everyone who came in by name - it’s just that kind of place! Adored the atmosphere, loved the hake I ate, and felt like I was in a tiny town’s cafe rather than a city. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves good food, and local business!

Sumptuous irish breakfast is served here freshly cooked and love the ambience inside. Staff makes sure you have the best time, a must visit in limerick. Mortells boast its 50 year old recipe of cheesecake, definitely a must try! Enjoyed chatting with the staff as i was the first customer in the morning. Plenty of pastries to choose from. Will definitely visit again. Oh i forgot, coffee here is served in french press.

Amazing fish!! Fresh from today, cooked perfectly and then the owner was nice enough to show us how to eat it off the bone πŸ˜‚ And the dessert was the best as well πŸ˜‹ The best thing however was the lovely staff with the gift of gab, we’ll definitely be coming back here.

The dish is what the chef recommends to me. It is very delicious, and the starter of two pieces of bread with sauce are also my favor. Chef is a very nice person as well.

This place is amazing! The food is superb, but that is only a small portion of the experience! Brian went out of his way to make us feel welcome - even providing some travel tips for our road trip that day. (We didn’t make Dingle, but the ferry ride to Kerry was a highlight of the day!). After a delicious lunch of perfectly cooked fish, we were ready for a full day of driving and exploring. A second THANK YOU to Brian for not allowing us to leave without the scratch made rhubarb pie! It is hitting the spot as I type this review!!!
