👍👍 Have also passed by this place and wondered about it but never think about it when the family wants Chinese food. First things first, the building doesn't have the best curb appeal. But that being said, a sign on the door says he is carry out only now. Next, I was having trouble finding a current... People often mention Chinese, good, great, chicken, rice, owner,

So, I came just wanting some good Chinese food and by the reviews I figured it was worth a shot. It was very empty and the man quietly took my order - I’ll preface by saying I order a lot of different items so I can try a lot a know what’s good for next time. I ordered my 2 egg rolls, an order of fried dumplings and almond boneless chicken with fried rice- not the white rice. Everything came one after another until the chicken came- it had white rice so I asked where was the fried rice and I think he was the owner just laughed and said, “you eat a lot of food”..... which RATTLED me simply because I ate one egg roll and pushed away for a To go the other, I ate 2 dumplings and was taking the rest to go — I had 3 bites of the almond boneless and didn’t like it at ALL. Between the no good chicken and the you eat a lot comment I said “check please” - he said no no he can make the rice but I insisted for my check and to be on my way. It was difficult to bite my tongue but all I asked is... whys it your business what I eat and also... I’m eating so I know what’s good. Only thing any good was the dumplings the rest were meh at best.

Great find! Food is really good and has a real authentic taste that definitely is different from some greasy fast food Chinese places. Instead of that nasty oil feeling, this food is legit and made from scratch. Good prices and portions and awesome environment. It's really quiet so it's a super unique place for a date. Owner is super friendly and easy to talk to. Only downside is the food takes a little while to come out because the owner and one other person are the only people that cook. Totally worth the wait though. I'll definitely go back again.

Have also passed by this place and wondered about it but never think about it when the family wants Chinese food. First things first, the building doesn't have the best curb appeal. But that being said, a sign on the door says he is carry out only now. Next, I was having trouble finding a current menu online. Many were 4-6 years old. I was pleased to find out this guy really hasn't changed the menu in 6 years. I included a picture of his current one. It looks like the prices are the same. Lastly, the food was pretty good and plenty for the little money that you pay in comparison to other places locally. The vegetables in all of our meals were fresh and even tender crisp crunchy. If you've been on the fence about trying it, do it.

I get takeout from here quite a bit. It's always good! It's always ready and hot, dependable service time. It's a small shop run by a great person. Good local business to support. My favorites are chicken egg foo young over crunchy noodles, cashew chicken, and snow peapod

I haven't even tasted the food yet, but while waiting, I saw a older gentleman working the restaurant all himself. He made a whole big family order for Thanksgiving himself and the gentleman that purchased it was a little needy . But the man working did not once seem irritated or upset by his requests, just simply served him. As I paid for my food he gave me two balloon animals and said he made them himself. A rabbit and a rhino. I haven't had such good service in so long and it is so refreshing to see such a hard working individual clearly enjoy doing what they do. Prices are decent and the food smells good, can't wait to go home and enjoy. :) Thank you.

Don't judge a book by its cover. The food is delicious and the owner is soooo kind. He made my 2 children balloon animals after dinner. They loved it- and they ate all the broccoli chicken. Don't pass this place up. (Sizzling rice pictured)

The worst. I have been to China and lived in NYC for years. That this place has been in business so long makes me wonder what its real business is! The food was terrible and not real Chinese nor real Chinese American style. We ordered Hunan Chicken and Pork with Garlic Sauce, dishes I have had many times in many different restaurants. Both dishes tasted the same, except one had more red pepper thrown on it. Totally unauthentic! Dreadful. The vegetables used were also not authentic-celery, cheap cabbage ends. Awful! No snow peas or bok choy or mushrooms or anything really Chinese. The food was a mish mash I would not feed a dog. Avoid this place.

Don't let the outside fool you - this place is great! [Atmosphere] Plenty seating. Mix of tables and booths. Probably can seat 30-50 people all at once. Very very dated furniture and overall interior. It looks like the same stuff has been used for like decades. So, definitely could benefit from a interior design refresh. Makes it seem like the food won't be that great until... [Food] ...you eat it! Man was the food fantastic. I got the shrimp and scallops dinner plate and it was phenomenal. Cost about $14 and filled me up totally. Would def recommend this place to others. It's run [Overall] If you like Chinese food then this is the place to go. Just be mindful of their really short hours. And there's only 1 employee (the owner is also the chef). So if you come with a large party be prepared to wait a bit as he preps your food...by himself. But does that man have skill or what.

It's always made fresh at a great price. I've had great luck with the chicken that I've ordered and the crab rangoons are always delicious. It might be hard to spot if you've never been there before but I would highly recommend it. The chicken fried rice and spicy mustard are great as well.

Tried pot stickers at other places and didn't like them but took a chance with this place and my goodness they and the sauce they came with were so good! Those and their crab rangoons are the best I've had in the Stevensville/ St. Joseph area. Tiny place but definitely a hidden gem!

Dated and dirty little place with decent Chinese food and pretty good prices for what they provide. Interior is in need of major remodeling and updating. Not sure why my review keeps getting removed too :( It's not worth avoiding but also not worth the commute to go there.

This place needs to be starred on the map. The owner has great prices compared to many other Chinese restaurants in the area, and the food here is the best I've had. I haven't had anything from this place that wouldn't hesitate to order again. I keep referring locals to Lee's and they tell me the same thing......

This is the freshest Chinese food we have ever had. Ordered Moo Goo Gai Pan, Shrimp in Lobster Sauce, egg rolls and Rangoon. They must make their own mustard sauce, as it was hot but tempered, unlike what you get from a packet. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, and the veggies seemed like they were pulled from the ground that morning, cooked just enough to be hot but still crispy and tasty. Did not encounter the over salting some places use to get flavor. I'm not savvy enough to talk at great length about food nuances, I just know what I like and this place nailed it all around. Best Chinese food I've ever had! We will hit this place again whenever and every time we come through St. Joe.

I really wish my sweet and sour sauce wasn't in a rice container to make a huge mess.. Crab ragoons were awesome!

I've remembered eating here with my mother as a kid I grew up with the owner in a way he would give me lighting bolt carrots which was really cool I actually ate my veggies and till this day the food is still amazing

We have been going to Lee's for over 20 years. The only Chinese food I will eat. Generously sized portions at low prices.
