One of my very favorite places to visit. There are so many trails and amazing scenery. I like Wolf Rocks but if you want to be by water, I suggest fish run, it's less populated and I could spend days there and never get bored of the scenery. The Bog trail is great for those that want a quick taste of nature, its also handicap accessible.

Hiked to Beam Rocks from here on a series of trails. It was worth the hike even though you can drive to the parking lot of Beam Rocks and start a lot closer but what fun would that be? The short section actually called "Loop Trail" seems like it would be popular for cross country skiing in the winter as it looks loopy and flatish. We had a wonderful time here.

Laurel Summit State Park is a section of the Laurel Ridge and Forbes State Forest whose location can be hard to determine as its borders can change from map to map. Look for a parking lot on the left of Linn Run Road just before it intersects with Laurel Summit Road. From here you can hike to Beam Rocks and the bog area so unusually high in the mountains. Easy walk, unique area that not many people get to experience, if you are close, you must stop in and see the mountain top bog.

A tiny 6 acre park on top of the World (if you're in PA!). A nice quiet area to eat lunch and go for a hike. Very limited traffic and seems like it would be great for winter fun.

The leaves are breathtaking this time of year! We went to the bog! It was amazing!

I didn't give the park 5 stars because I felt the road into the park didn't have adequate signage getting there. We also weren't able to get into our motorized site because we lacked some important information about how to unlock the gate. It seems to be full of cross-country trails, so I am sure it's a popular spot.
