Gotten takeout twice here, always busy, waited 10+ mins longer than told both times. Food is good for the price. Their gyros are very good, as are their potatoes and rice. Wraps are decent, but the salads are mediocre. Overall, it’s a reliable and enjoyable takeout place in Whitby.

Totally unexpected! Needed a quick lunch .. was expecting a typical fast food Greek experience and this was truly one of my best restaurant experience ever. I have travelled a lot at a lot of places and I would range this in one of my top 10. Friendly service, great food, excellent ambiance. I would recommend this for a date even if that date is yourself! :) Truly wonderful experience.

One of the best lambs I've ever had. Location and outside parking can look deceiving. It is a small family run business. The restaurant is small yet vibrant. I ordered roast lamb and Greek salad to go. It was one of the best takeouts I've ever had 🍗 I highly recommend this place !!!

I could not recommend the Greek Tycoon ENOUGH! Staff are friendly and attentive, I’ve never had better service dining out before! Their new renovations are modern and inviting. My husband and I enjoyed having a drink at the bar before sitting to order our meals. Food is delicious as always, the portions are more than generous and most importantly fresh! I am so happy that this gem of a restaurant reopened and it just happened to be on my birthday! The ambiance is beautiful, the food excellent 👌 , the portion size abundant and the staff attentive and service fabulous. The prices were reasonable too! We came for my mom's birthday 🎂🎈 back in Mar 2020 and were not disappointed! Can't wait to return ☺️. I highly recommend! There are plenty of options for vegetarians. Please I beg, have a vegetarian for the moussaka would be even more amazing 😋

recently dined at The Greek Tycoon in Pickering and it was an amazing experience! The calamari was perfectly crispy and tender, and the pita and dips were a great start to the meal. The chicken souvlaki was cooked to perfection and the portion size was generous. But the highlight of the meal was the saganaki, which was simply amazing. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance of the restaurant was fantastic. I highly recommend The Greek Tycoon to anyone looking for an authentic Greek dining experience!

We ordered for 20 guests from The Greek Tycoon and everything was superb! It was easy to order, the food was delivered on time, and it was very hot. The kebabs were tasty and cooked perfectly. Several people who don't like cabbage rolls loved these cabbage rolls. The servings were very generous. I highly recommend this place!

We have been loyal patrons to Greek Tycoon since 1999. The food is always fresh and perfect portions. We loved dining in as you’ll get to experience their warm and inviting atmosphere. During Covid, their family takeout has been a staple for us. Their staff are helpful, friendly and passionate about their family business. They care about the community and we are thankful to have them in ours.

My friends and I came here for dinner and we very pleased with the quality of the food, the friendliness and organization of the staff, and the overall ambience of the restaurant. The restaurant itself is quite small but they've made good use of the space, definitely book a reservation if you plan to dine in. Highly recommend the roasted potatoes, best I've ever had!

I ordered a couple of items from the menu that I was told were no longer available. The manager suggested I get the lamb chops cooked medium, so I decided to try them. Absolutely delicious! Quite possibly the best lamb I’ve ever had. My wife doesn’t eat lamb, but when she tried some of mine, she agreed it was delicious! The saganaki was great and the bread was also very good; much better than the bread served at chain Greek restaurants. The sides were also top quality and cooked perfectly. The chicken souvlaki was also very good. I highly recommend this restaurant!

My recent visit to Greek Tycoon Restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The food was tasty, with a wide selection of traditional Greek dishes that were cooked to perfection. We started with the tzatziki, which was smooth and creamy with a refreshing hint of garlic, and then moved on to the moussaka, which was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with friendly staff and a cozy decor that made us feel right at home. The only downside was that the service was a bit slow, but the quality of the food more than made up for it. Overall, Greek Tycoon is a great option if you're in the mood for some flavorful Greek cuisine in a comfortable setting.

What can I say about this place that hasn’t already been said? It’s easily the best restaurant in Whitby and arguably the best restaurant in Durham region. This family owned restaurant is one of a kind. Why travel all the way to the Danforth? Just be sure to make reservations because Greek Tycoon is always jam packed. The food is incredible. Everything has so much flavour and is cooked to perfection. My favourite item are the lamb chops. I don’t normally order lamb but these are to die for. The tzitki is grandmas recipe that was handed down from generations so be sure to get your hands on some as well. Shout out to the owner Tom for making each dinner a memorable one

Best Greek restaurant in Durham!! Their food is always fresh, and flavourful. Their portion sizes are huge so great if you're looking for leftovers. The staff are also very friendly. They recently renovated and the dine in area looks amazing. It is a small space so you likely have to make reservations but I'm sure it's worth it. We always do take out and have a great experience.

Stopped in before a hockey game around 4 pm with a 4 top... The place was packed, and they managed to seat us. This place was fanominal... Started off with the bread, then chicken Giro and chicken souvlaki. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Got the steak dinner to go it was amazing. I didn't want potatoes so they gave me vegetables which were really good. That's not even all the rice there's still another full serving of rice not even on the plate. The bun was so good like it was from a bakery. Highly recommend. Bought one for my female friend lucky for me she's not home I think I'm going to eat hers too!

Food was superb. Easily the best restaurant in Durham. A little too formal for my taste inside but staff was superb, it still felt very homey. We loved everything from start to finish. The portions are big so watch it!

Ordered sixteen individual dinners on Friday to be picked up Saturday for take out. When we arrived at the agreed upon time it was all there, ready and hot. The time and care the employees took to make sure everything was packaged well was clear. We were very very impressed. The food was amazing, fresh, well cooked and absolutely flavourful and delicious. The portions were very generous and the cost was very fair. We live in Oshawa and heard from co-workers about the restaurant. This is our new Greek restaurant, the drive is totally worth it and we will be back again soon.

We ordered dinner from The Greek Tycoon to celebrate my birthday with family. They absolutely went “over and above” to make sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful dinner…. Updating with my latest experience. Once again Greek Tycoon hit it outta the park. Ordered dinner on a Friday evening and wow, this has been the best experience by far. The chicken skewers were tender and the veg platter was phenomenal - cooked to perfection with the good mix of veggies. The light green dip continuous to be the family favourite. Just a side note, we order fairly regularly but the quality this Friday has been above par; would love to see this every time we eat here. Previous review: Their lamb gyro and vegetable platter have been my staple for a while now. There’s a dip that comes with the platter that I’m hooked on…. I need more of that stuff.

Our company had a small employee appreciation function at the beginning of September, but we were late in the planning. Greek Tycoon came through and was able to cater with only a few days' notice. Not only were we appreciative of having them cater our small company function but we were more than satisfied when the food arrived. Delivery was quick and efficient. The food was amazing (understatement). Everyone unanimously said we made the right choice and no one left hungry! Excellent and delicious authentic Greek food! Well done Greek Tycoon! Going forward, the only call we're making to cater our company functions will be the Greek Tycoon. Thank you to Tommy and the great staff. (Sorry it took me this long to write the review! :)

I used to come here all the time with my parents when I was a kid. My fiancee told me he wanted Greek food, so I suggested we try their food again and boy were we happy with our meals! It was so fresh, flavourful, and my fiancee said that they all seemed very friendly. We have so many leftovers too. Everything was made with so much love! I literally drive 25km just to order and pick it up for dinner. Its that good!!! This place has the best food! Tycoon chicken is amazing. Portion size on all meals are huge. You can literally get 2 meals out of one. Worth every penny. You'll never be disappointed!

We have been getting take out from here for years now. it is a bit of a drive but definitely worth it. Very good portion sizes, everything is great and always yummy! We always order extra potatoes as my daughter loves them. We enjoy the leftovers for days after. Service is great, owner is very personable and always remembers my name. Great guy and we will continue to buy from them in the future. Covid fixture for take out for us in past 2 years. Highly recommend.
