Fresh and delicious food, beautiful ambiance and impeccable service. This little shop has it all! The chicken is crisp and juicy, the watermelon lemonade is refreshing and not too sweet, and again the staff will stop at nothing to please their customer. The store itself is warm and inviting, with plenty of indoor/outdoor seating, a good selection of music and very clean. I stayed around the corner from here during my visit to Lisbon and found myself visiting often even for just a coffee as it is a lovely location to sit and watch the daily goings on. The manager is also very kind and accommodating and made me an iced coffee when I couldn’t find one anywhere except for Starbucks. My only regret is I didn’t get to try more of the food, namely the chicken lasagna. Give this place a try, you will be hooked!

Food: apps and sides are really good. The chicken sauce and stuff is generally very solid (nicely fried, etc), but the white meats might be a bit dry. It seems like they are stored in bulk underneath a heater lamp. Service: the guy (not sure if manager, but I'll refer to him as "the guy") was pretty weird but I think he was just trying to be friendly. He kept repeating "this is your house" to us, which I guess is friendly but also it seemed a bit too much since we just wanted dinner, and not to move in... He also seemed a bit unfamiliar with seeing Asians (we were a group of 5 Asians) and he made assumptions about our group which were not mean necessarily, but were nonetheless unnecessary. Interesting experience for sure ... Can't say it was holistically positive though! If you're European / local, sure come check this place out.

One of my favorite places to eat in Lisboa. The chicken is delicious and the side of potatoes, rice and vegetables are exceptional. They serve you with a smile and make you feel at home.

Good food and lots of it for a fair price. Owner is also very welcoming. Order a half chicken and club sandwich for two, which come with sides of potatoes and salad.

Dry old chicken! I did not even finish half because there was no flavor. I was surprised because it looks good but don’t be fooled. I took a close photo so other people can be warned not to fall into this trap. You also have to pay for a sauce that is quite little to be able to give taste. They should not include the rice or whatever side dish on the same plate because the half chicken is already occupying most of the area and there is not enough space for you to eat properly. I am surprised they never saw this detail. Staff was friendly and helpful. Came on a very quiet time with only 2 other customers but my order took a lot of time. It’s good to have some music in the restaurant but they were playing it waaaaaay too loud that it has become bothersome. I was shocked by the overall experience I had in this place.

Had a delicious food from here last night. Prices are also reasonable. I ordered chicken and it was fresh and juicey. I could recommend it to anyone who visit Lisbon. Staffs are also friendly and the place is very clean. Highly recommended.

We left the LX factory, which honestly didn't look very good and we saw the typical chicken place nearby, and the truth is that I was surprised by chicken with a touch of rich and juicy lemon, it couldn't be better, today we ate good, pretty and cheap And on top of that, I really liked the guy who served us, so wonderfully delicious chicken with roasted potatoes.

Amazing food and fantastic service. We sat outside and had a nice view of all the classic trams of Lisbon. Staff was great and checked up with us to ensure the food and drinks where to our liking. Highly recommended!

Just like grandma made it! If you're looking for a good home-cooked meal with friendly service, O Papa Poule will not disappoint. Perfectly located with outdoor seating which I coined as the "garden" allows for a comfortable dining experience. I always paired my flavorful dishes with a delicious glass of watermelon limonada, a must try. Street Food! Soul Food!

I had great chicken with roasted potatoes, 🍉 lemonade and I also took a brownie as take away. Everything was excellent. Food was served fast and with smile. When I will be back in Lisbon I'll be happy to come again🤘

We had a really good time! I just can recommend this place. The food was juicy and good spiced. The waiter (maybe he was the owner) he was really kind and hospitality.

Wonderful staff with vibrant personalities. If you're looking for a quite bite or even a small meal, grab some of the chicken balls. While the food is delicious, we LOVED these delicious snacks! Their donuts are also perfect. Highly recommend supporting this business.

Very bland chicken and potatoes without any taste. Very expensive and for this rather mediocre quality...

I know people expect a picture of a plate full of food but I think it's more true to form to share the end result. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, and the music at this place. The entire staff were friendly and courteous which enhanced the experience. If you're a tourist like me or a local, make sure to stop by to try the rotisserie chicken or the papa poule double chicken burger.

Great food and nice place! We had a special dish with crispy chicken and potatoes & a club sandwich. Both delicious and in a good quantity at a fair price!
