👍 Barrio Alto is a must when you’re in Lisbon. Amazing atmosphere there, lot’s of peoples partying during the night, and also tasty food there. Gandhi Palace is one of them. Even if the service is a bit slow, the food is very good. Nice restaurant overall. It’s not expensive so you can have a deliciou... Clean, nice staff but slow, decent prices, and good food.

It took very loooong to get the food served. We ordered 3 different curries but none of them were very special or tasty, as I lived in India and can compare to the real ones. Just another tourist trap place, this is my honest feeling. Staff was friendly and the interior was beautiful, but if you want to try authentic Indian food, this is not the best place.

I love love love this place. You know when you go to an Indian restaurant and ask them to make it spicy but the spice that you love in india, that’s exactly how I felt when I visited this place. Reminded me of back home, delhi. I loved the food, the songs, and oh by the way the dessert was absolutely delicious. Gulaab jaamun. Exactly how I like it at my home. It felt really lovely.

Great place. Living in Bairro Alto, this is one of my favorite restaurants. The service is superb. E. g., they went to. buy the drinks I wanted when they did not have them. The food was very good (8/10). The butterchicken was great. I wish it was a little bit more but definitely great. Also, the Naan bread was the best Naan I have ever had. The value for money is exceptional. This is one of the best restaurants in this regard you will find anywhere in Bairro Alto. Overall, I think this is, at any time, one of the best choices in BA if you are open to Indian food.

Me and my friend loved the place!! Our waiter, Amit, was so kind and funny and was interested in learning new languages. Great place! I recommend it very much.

OK. Let me explain.... At the first day I was almost the only guest and service and food was good. The second day I came late and the restaurant was full and the waiter was obviously overstrained. I took a seat on a table where obviously some guests were before me. The waiter took the used plates and glasses but didn't clean the table. Fair enough. He will do later I thought. But no. When I got my food after a while I had to kindly ask him to clean the table. He seriously told me that he has no time for that so he tried to cover the onions from the other guests with the table cloth 😂 wow I thought it's a joke but no. He left and said I could choose another table. Lol. This is an absolute NoGo in the Gastronomy business. Overall the food I think is good. But the hip hop music coming from the TV is too loud and destroys the restaurant vibe. Just saying. So go there and get your own impression. Good luck.

Very friendly and honest staff and extremely delicious food. This is really a secret gem in this area. We dined inside and then had some cocktails outside. Almost feels like family here after two visits.

High quality curries filled with flavour. Unlike other places that offer generic bland curries with no flavour. Friendly waiter. I highly recommend the butter chicken.

Lunchtime biriani was just one of the best birianis I’ve had. Texture was not mushy and filled my mouth with fireworks. Well worth a visit 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🥳🥳(super box beer was good and reasonably priced as well , give it a go!)

We had such a lovely experience that we decided to go back for a second time 2 days later. The server is incredibly nice, the food is amazing and it's extremely affordable. First time we went there for dinner, second time for "lunch" (we wouldn't have time later on for real dinner as we were flying out later that day). Both times were great. The place also looks very good with nice blue and gold decorations. Definitely worth your time!

We made a last minute reservation for 13 people and they weren't able to accommodate the booking, but they did accommodate our party! The service was amazing, the food was delicious, and we had a fantastic time! 10/10 would recommend and will return.

Best Indian food in Lisbon, and some of the best I have had anywhere. Great value, good portion sizes and fantastic food. Living in Lisbon, I find myself always in the mood for Ghandi's palace and going frequently. Can't recommend enough.

We came into the restaurant and Emy, our host, greeted us warmly. The dishes we ordered tasted amazing, even better than the Indian restaurants back home. Emy was very respectful and friendly to all guests. He served us perfectly and we really liked the international relaxed atmosphere. We'd love to come back! Thank you. Michelle & Fabio

Great Indian Restaurant in Bairro Alto, very close to Miradouro São Pedro de Alcántara. The food is great! You can find so many options and for a good price. The service is very good, a great waiter always smiling and very professional, taking care of all small details. I recommend to everyone!

Gandhi restaurant has consistently provided us with an exceptional dining experience, making it one of our favorite spots in town. The food is absolutely delicious, and the option to customize our dishes according to our preferences is a fantastic touch. Jeetram, the talented chef, never fails to impress with his culinary skills, and Amit, the attentive staff member, ensures that our every need is met. The food was delivered promptly. During our three visits, we were thrilled to find that each time, the food was consistently flavorful and well-prepared. We savored the paneer makhanwala, chicken tikka masala, chicken lababdar, and chicken balti, all bursting with rich, authentic Indian flavors. The prawn curry was a delightful treat, perfectly balanced and mouthwateringly delicious. Moreover, the poori chole, kadai paneer, naan, and roti were the perfect accompaniments, freshly made and satisfyingly soft. The overall dining experience at Gandhi is one that leaves a lasting impression, combining delectable food with top-notch customer service. We can confidently say that we'll be returning to Gandhi restaurant time and time again for its impeccable quality and delightful dining experience.

Nice food, chicken tikka starter was lovely, chicken dopiza main was nothing special. Service was terrible, rice came well before main so was cold, just one poor guy doing everything front of house!

Good Indian food & reasonably priced We had a surprisingly good meal at this very beautifully decorated restaurant. We ordered a chicken jalfrezi, lamb sabzi, naan and rice. Both curries were delicious and the naan was fresh and crisp. The service was excellent!

Food is excellent. Even the basmati rice is good. Look for Emmy, who is very kind, gives great service, and treats customers like family! I always go around lunchtime to eat comfort food and they were playing prayer chants. Praying over food is much appreciated.
